OMG I agree with this entirely. Si Qi's character is making me so angry - especially the way she treats her boyfriend. She wants him to buy her a house but also buy her all these luxurious items as well. The man works so much & she spends all his money like it's nothing - so disrespectful. I hate characters like that so much. Of course Qun Fei is not absent of fault since he doesn't say anything to her because he fears she would leave him but sadly that is just a fault of low self esteem. It is so unhealthy for Qun Fei to stay in this relationship - all his cards have been maxed out & he can barely pay them off.

And worse part is that she keeps expecting more from him like he is a rich kid. The fact that she won't marry him unless he has a house just shows she is materialistic & nothing more. And she doesn't even help him get the house instead she wastes more of his money which makes it even more difficult for him to save. The entire thing with his parents just made me despise her character. I feel she has no redeeming qualities & I don't even care how great of a friend she is to Xiao Su. Her boyfriend is begging her to keep a secret so that his mother's health won't get bad & she uses that against him in order to get money for her investment. That is just LOW! I understand he shouldn't have told his parents a lie but to use that as an opportunity to get money from him is just . . . . a disgusting move.

I really hope he breaks up with her & gets a better girlfriend. He deserves better than her.

I agree with this. The vlogs from Xiao Zhan Studio are really good - it's like their version of a variety show. And we were able to get 2 vlogs from Chengdu :D. It's like even though we can't see the play we can at least see him travel around the country. I love it :D

And yes, OMG when he saw the store with his standees - he was soo cute & endearing about it.

I know it is a well received drama but sadly Shawn Dou's character gave me the biggest 2nd lead syndrome EVER. His character was so tragic & from some spoilers I knew where his character was going. And I didn't want to see his character get ruined just so that the 2 leads could get together. I know weird reason lol but I feel I only liked the show because of his character & knowing they were going to ruin him just made me not want to watch it anymore.

I really want to watch this because of Shawn Dou, saw him in Princess Agents & even though I dropped it (just not for me) I thought his acting was just amazing. But I can't find a single site that has it with English Subs :/. I used VPN on Tencent & iQiyi & still nothing - I guess I have to wait. But from the clips I saw, this drama looks really promising.

Very true. But I am guessing since their seems to be only a few production companies (Tencent, iQiyi, Hunan, Dragon, etc) that they probably don't want to spend all that money promoting all their dramas. After all I do think they have like 1000 dramas a year almost. But I do feel like the popular dramas which are ranked S should definitely be properly promoted. Since they spend so much money on them - just feels like a waste to not give it proper recognition.

Yes totally. And I feel the fans of the actors were going to watch the drama regardless. The purpose of promotion is to widen the audience beyond just the fanbase. But for some reason I have never seen any drama do proper promoting. Maybe the production of dramas are so cheap they don't really need that many people to watch their dramas.

Yea it's very weird since they spend so much money on making the drama u would think they would also try to promote it so it could be successful. Kind of like they do here in America - they have ads, billboards, commercials & other means. Instead, they pull these weird tactics where they just say a popular actor/actress is in it & let the fanbases of those said actors do all the promotion. It's very weird but I guess they don't want to spend the money on promoting.

Tencent said they are definitely going to film a 2nd season. However, I know from other dramas that it takes a while if they do make a 2nd season. So, maybe u will get a 2nd season within like 2 years (if ur lucky) but it could definitely be more. I know Fight Breaks Sphere is also scheduled to have a 2nd season (I believe they are casting the actors for it) & the first season was released in 2018. And they haven't even filmed the 2nd season yet. But I know Douluo is really popular so it might not take as much time - but we have to see.

Sadly c-dramas tend to have the most chaotic release schedules ever & they make u really learn about the word patience lol.

I watched the entire drama but if ur asking about the anime version than, sorry, no I haven't. The drama was good & I was interested in it but the anime just didn't intrigue me that much. But I also watch a lot of anime already lol so maybe I just didn't want to pick up another one lol.

Xiao Zhan named his fandom xiao fei xia (xFx) so that is what his fans call themselves. So, xFx just means a Xiao Zhan fan.

Xiao Fei Xia = Peter Pan (or Shrimp)
But u will most likely see xFx being called shrimp/prawns because xiao fei xia sounds like shrimp.

I know for some award shows they look at movies/drama in a 2 year window. But idk what the case for this award show is. I just know most of the winners were for movies - at least what I saw on weibo. I didn't see it but the person ur talking about that didn't play in a movie could have just been a guest & they weren't supposed to win an award. I know some of the celebs were probably asked by weibo to come to the show in order to get views for their award show.

Sadly it isn't just other star fans that do this weird promotion. I know big companies would do it. That is probably why we see so many rumors of a certain actor being in a drama but later on find it isn't the case. Most likely the production company wanted to get heat for the drama they are about to film & the cheapest way to do that is pay somoene to spread a rumor that a certain popular actor is in it. All they have to do is say "Xiao Zhan is in this drama" & they will get a ton of heat & that will help them get investors to invest.

I think when trying to get investors all they have to do is show them how many times the drama was talked about. And once they see it has a good buzz online - they give them the money to start filming the drama. At the end of the day it is all about the MONEY.
