You have opened an entire new world of drama watching in my life. I have watched about 10 lakorns since your article - I hope you are watching Krong Kang on You Tube -- it is the best of the best -- even better than Love Destiny (which I thought was the best after watching). K dramas are in a writing slump, and daily dramas are just horrible --- this genre of dramas is really worthy of time watching. Please write an article on Krong Kang so new people can experience the joy of Thai Lakorns.

Okay binge drama. Screaming and fighting throughout. Not a drama for everyone because you have to excuse unacceptable behavior by male lead to accept the writers intent. With that said, the behavior of almost every character in this drama is subject to scrutiny and criticism but the ending was satisfying.

Two great actors that made a rom- com perfect. She is beautiful - he is handsome and they were both giggly and acted like teenagers in love. TSpecial drama to enjoy . Loved it - giving it a 10 because the writers didn't drop the ball at the end -- perfect ending and satisfying.

Just finished watching -- for me - very mature psychological relationships driven by lust, greed and genuine affection. The camera work and the music help move this drama forward . No spoilers here -- just recommendation to watch this for more than the story . I spent most of my watching comparing and analyzing characters. If you are a psychology/psychiatric major you could probably write a thesis. Released on dramacool

Tf kind of ending was that??? Overall it was a great drama, but …… the writers are really annoying
We were "thrown under the bus" -- I spent most of my time enjoying comments obviously.

Binged watched after a February 20 2019 article on My Appreciation of Thai Lakorns. I have binge watched 4 Lakorn dramas and this is the 4th and last for a while - I need to get my sleep. I enjoyed parts of this drama but I keep asking myself - "is this the cultural depiction of social class or family relationships"? Does everyone have the ability to insult in metaphors? The story was stretched out but binge watching allows the skipping of irrevelant or unnecessary parts of characters that you grow to detest. I didn't give it a higher rating because I saw Kleun Cheewit, Game Rak Game Rui and Game Saneha before which were much better Lakorns.

Disappointed that the writers couldn't keep this drama glued together. It was all over the place and what became a twist becomes so twisted to the point of being a Gordian knot. Someone in another comment called this a "mic drop" - I have to agree.

Thank you for your delightful comments about my article - I really appreciate it! And welcome to the fangirl club…
Just watched ep 45 - the story is really good and I don't want it to end.

Very good article and a very accurate description of the"must watch" factor for this drama. As a C-drama watcher I fan girl Vin Zhang (Eternal Love, King's Woman, Flame's Daughter, Chronicle of Life, Love O2O and Pretty Li ---,). At first I was not really impressed with the writing but as time went on it got better and better. What really makes this drama for me is the comments by viewers on Viki. I laugh harder than the actual comedic scenes sometimes. What is most amazing about this drama is the chemistry - there is dual chemistry - Bin Bin and Austin Lin (cute dimples) with Ariel Lin. So far a perfect balance as you have indicated - story continues to move forward with a purpose and a story line that the viewer can follower. Your writing is impeccably accurate and commendable. Hope others join in the fun of this drama as you have recommended.

I loved your article -- I have the same feelings about Korean Drama and have dropped more dramas than I care to admit. After watching several very outstanding Chinese period, historical and fantasy wuxia pieces I am at the point I wanted something new to watch. Just discovered Lakorns (Drama Fever withdrawal - subscribed to Netflix and watched In Family We Trust -- really good drama. Since then I have binge-watched You're My Destiny and now I want to watch more Lakorns. Your article has given me direction. Thank you. I'm making a list from your article.

random question, why is Kim Ji Hoon a main lead if he dies ?
I saw him listed as "cameo" appearance in AsianWiki and then I realize that his role is more than cameo. Can't seem to wrap my brain around him playing this role -- it is so opposite some of his previous roles.
On You're My Destiny Feb 20, 2019
Watched all three versions -- this version is very good - but failed in music adaptations. Very good acting and I don't believe it is fair to compare each country's version. The storyline is worth the viewers time commitment. Enjoyable and definitely worth marathoning. Emotional moments --- and tears.

The best Chinese period drama I have watched. I have become completed hooked to Chinese dramas after an initial period of Korean drama addiction. After watching NIF I started researching Chinese history which led to more and more Chinese dramas - mostly about royalty, emperors, concubines, and generals. This drama takes you down the path of the lives of scholars and the second tier of Chinese society. When I copied my character list from Wikipedia (a must if you want to follow a fast-paced drama) I realized there were double the characters and this would be a complex drama. I was right - it was complex - and this adds to the quality. Everything about this drama draws you into it -- slow in the beginning but the pace is perfect for you to ingest the richness of this piece. Didn't want it to end - the chemistry -- amazingly complicated but that is what makes the viewer addicted. Definitely a 10- definitely a watch - and a warning -- slow but smooth and rewarding for the viewer who becomes completely immersed. Already rewatching - couldn't get enough.

Wow!! You hoped for mature romance did you even read what story is about. How can you hope for mature romance…
Mature Korean dramas seem to have ended or at least rare. I remember watching Lee Dong Wook in La Dolce Vita (a 2008 drama). He must have been 23 at the time. I thought he was outstanding as an actor to be able to handle that role. I have followed his career since. Mature theme and mature acting. To adapt to the trends - fluffy is best to continue your career -- I guess.

illogical? how come?
sorry for the assumption. I was looking at your avatar and well==== wrong road. I am being serious with you - it has been so long since I've seen this drama and my one word expression was my exact feeling after watching it. Felt it tried to shock the viewer in the shortest amount of time to spurn interest but failed royally. My short term memory is really squeezing down to a few days at most and this drama just didn't make it for me. Felt I wasted my time. Honestly, after watching so many dramas I am beginning to view most of them as a waste of my time. The quality and creativity is lacking and the ending of some of these newer dramas leave you the feeling you fell off a cliff (Memories of Alhambra for example). I have moved to watching a lot of Chinese period dramas and have enjoyed them more lately. Just a matter of taste. Love Romantic stories - but I like the story have a sense of responsibility and a taste of reality.

illogical? how come?
It has been a while since I watched this (I am addicted and retired so I watch dramas all day long - every day)l. The word illogical was being kind - I should have said morally reprehensible. Would you sleep with an unknown man just to derail your mom's future marriage. I always try to put myself in the situation before I judge - in this case - NO WAY in my adult lifetime would I do such a thing. I think they could have found other ways to stop the marriage - which had it been successful - well - what would have been the ramifications other than daughter a slut.

Enough anxiety moments without being frightened to the point it was unwatchable(I don't do horror - but for some reason, I can watch zombies. Strange story for anyone's imagination but this is a drama that depends on personal taste for zombie suspense. Wish all episodes were posted yesterday - but again- I'm glad its Saturday - I can finally sleep since it is addictive and you keep pushing forward to see the next and the next and the next episode.

With Park Bo Gum and and Song Hye Kyo I was really expecting a very original and special drama. What I got was…
You are correct the two accomplished actors did draw me to this drama. The bonus was the filming in Cuba (one of my bucket list destination). The storytelling was exactly as you described -cliche to the max and nothing special. The relationship was awkward but their acting almost overcame this factor. "Two mismatched friends in love" is my title - nothing more nothing less. A missed opportunity to use the great talents of these actors.
On In Family We Trust Jan 22, 2019
Just started watching as my substitute for a quality daily drama last week - watching on Netflix. I literally had to create a flow chart to follow the 5 different families and their children. Really good murder mystery so far.
