But they could have made it much clearer in the series, and we don't don't even know if there will be a sequel…
Not Me and The Eclipse are 2 series that receives really low budget. For Not Me, they solve the problem by cutting the crew team to be as small as they can. For The Eclipse, they cut or alternate scenes to reduce budget.
But they could have made it much clearer in the series, and we don't don't even know if there will be a sequel…
I agree. In my opinion, the problem is that the novel is much longer (The novel was originally making to be a TV drama for another channel in a format of 13 episodes, 6 breaks with 90 minutes per episode). When it had to cut down to TV series format (12 episodes, 4 breaks with 60 minutes per episode) for GMMTV, the screenwriters kinda dump out a lot of details in the storylines and events to make it shorter. My opinion is that there are many details I think they should keep in the series and shouldn't keep some romantic scenes in. By the way, I still impress they can actually make it, as this is GMMTV lowest budget series of this year.
For the reasons about why they reconcile their friendship that fast.In the novel, it was going to imply that no one is the best, each has their own flaws and problematic ideology inside, which this is one of Thua's flawed thoughts. Also, it was intentionally left by the writer to discover more about their friendship and relationships (especially Khan and Thua) in the sequel novel. In the series, the screenwriter explained that, as they all close friends, they have the rules that they have to clear their issues in one day. That scene was not shot, but kinda imply in the last sentences between Khan and Thua that Khan told Thua to report his actions to the school.
The series will be filmed after the director finished 10 Years Ticket, which won't be anytime soon as 10 Years Ticket has 16-18 episodes, which means it will have to use around 35-40 Queues, with the busy schedule of the cast resulting the slow progress in shooting, it might finished shooting as late as December. So, I think we definitely getting this series in 2023 and might even as late as Quater 2 (April-June) of next year.
The story about the school, the rules, the curse etc. is really silly. Especially since they take it so serious!…
The series try to reflect the current political situation in Thailand, which it kinda same from what you've seen in this series. The student protest in Thailand, even though is a lot bigger than that in this series, are only a small proportion compare to the students who thinks the same but decide to follow the system and not talk about it. If you follow our country's news, you would see that a lot of these young protestors have been arrested or detained by the government. For me as Thai, the protestors need a lot of courage to express their thoughts and willing to accept anything that might happen to them because they just speak up for their community. I think that the issues a lot of international watchers might find watching this series is that it symbolizes Thai politics and social issues that other countries don't know and don't face the same as we did. For me as Thai watchers, I have already intepret the intention of the "curse" subplot and what the "curse" is in our society, but let see how the story goes.
Good point - I was waiting for Aye to ask the teacher if any of the information he had just talked about was wrong…
Believe me, it's not outdated.
My relative is an openly gay in high school and he still face the f-word bully quite often. As Thai, LGBTQ+ always faces bullying issue, mostly because Thai is still dominate by the patriarchy ideology, which is so toxic not only LGBTQ+, but also women too.
There's a lot that's good in this, but the pacing... not the worst but it was just skirting my desire to FF. It…
As Thai, I think the internet is not the worst place to find the information about our history. In our academic system, History is the subject that is one-sided by the goverment. Most history books in Thailand are controlled and present only the fact that is positive to people in the high social class. Many of events in the history that involves lower social class people are all look down and has less-to-no detail in the books. 2 ways to find these various perspective history are; the book by the underground publishers, which the government eagerly find the chance to close them, and the articles and researches on the internet. Well, I don't think internet is the best place to find information about history either, but as Thailand doesn't have academic freedom, internet is the way we can reach the wider perspectives on our history.
Thai reviewers speculates another reason. Bimbeam has to attend the commencement ceremony for her bachelor's degree in Mid -October, which she has to do the rehearsals and a lot of documents that will make her busy that month. The issue (that wasn't mention in the reddit and in the clip) is that The Three GentleBros starts shooting 3 months late from its initial shooting schedule (which is April) and 10 Years Ticket is shooting before its initial schedule (which is Late October, as the series swap schedule with Home School, which formerly planned to start shooting in August) From the rush shooting of this series and the shooting schedule of 10 Years Ticket that will happen in October, I don't think Bimbeam won't be able to make it and she has to choose things that important to her first. A lot of us also speculate that Bimbeam and Film swap their roles. Fim takes The Three GentleBros while Bimbeam takes Home School and The role in 10 Years Ticket will be taken by another actress.
Urghhh... again with the body swap. Could someone tell them that most don't like this?!
Thai watchers do like this plot though. In every year, we will have at least 1 bodyswap drama. But I agree, another body swap for Korn and Win is not a good idea.

But don't expect too much about any changes.
