Jimmy and Sea both just work in the industry for only 2 years, compare to Ohm and Nanon who works since around 2016. That's a lot of differences in experience.

I think the problem is casting Ohm and Nanon to play Tess and Tun, because they are actors who have a lot of experiences, which resulted more depth in portraying these characters compared to Jimmy and Sea, who even though have great skills, don't have much experiences as they are new to the industry.

The issues with product placemant scenes in recent GMMTV series stems from GMMTV recent policy to let the products write their own storyboard to the series.

For me watching 2 episodes and I found that there are a lot differences from the novel and most of them not in a good way. I starts to see the same adaptation issues I found in Enchante appear in this series (which of course, made by the same production team).

According to O Patha, director of F4 Thailand, GMMTV let the product writes it own storyboard to the series, which makes manyl the product placement scenes out of place in a lot of series.

All Midnight series only have similar theme (stories surrounded on people working in night time). Also, all 3 Midnight Series is using Anamorphic lens for shooting.
Many Thai reviweres speculated that Moonlight Chicken is set in the 90s, while other 2 set in modern days.

Actually, there are the reasons why in past year most GMMTV series (not only BLs) are repettitive and has a creative issue. I will sent it to you personally because it is really long to be explained here.

I respect your opinion on the series.
My personal opinion is that Bad Buddies adapted only some parts of the novel, many interview before the series went on air said about this a lot and is also the reason why the series didn't use the title of the novel. So I don't evaluate the "true to source material" as a top priority as much as I do in other series that were said to be "based on the novel".

Don't hope too much, because I read the novel and I think they have to change a lot of elements in the novel, because it's related to Russia and from the current situation many of us wouldn't like it if they followed the footstep of the novel.

The series has been pushed from its original airdates (August 2) to September 20 due to complications of shooting in New York.
According to Adamy, Viu Thailand chief of original content, the series will be about friendship and relationship of 5 main cast through Thai and World modern history. The series will be taking place from Black May 1992 to Covid-19 Pandemic.

As from director's commentary on his twitter or instagram (I can't remember), he said that the club always updated its password so that the club would still be secret from the people outside and there are more password to come, which are quotes from other Thai hit films and series.

In Thailand, asking these intrusive questions during an interview is normal. Thai press mostly don't respect privacy (also most of Thai people), they ask this question to create conflicts and dramas to increase program's popularities and ratings.
As Thai people, I feel uncomfortable with this troupe too.

As I read the novel
- No, this one is not plot-driven, it's character-driven. The whole novel focused on Talay's adventure in another universe and his relationship with Tess (in which Puen is in Tess body).
- Character backgrounds are keys why these 4 swap universes and we will learn along the way the series progressed.
- The plot of the first episode covers only 2 and a half chapter of the novel, so there are a lot of stories they have to cover

Anyway, the screenwriting team is the same as Bad Buddy, but the directing team is from Enchante, so we have to see how this would work out.

1. The story only said there are 2 universes, Puen-Talay original universe and Thun-Tess Universe. The nurse came from the same universe as Talay and she said that she knows 2gether the series from the ones who came later.
2. Both universe have somethimg resembles each other, like people with the same face but different names and personality (like Jo and Pramote, they has the same face but different personality, because they are different person in different universes).

According to the novel, it has a lot more than that.

They announced this series in a worship ceremony of Future and Call My Name, alongside Night Dream. However, this one is the first (out of four series) to finish shooting and the first to air.

On July 29, there will be behind-the-scene specials of Star in My Mind and Sky in Your Heart.
If GMMTV following its usual marketting plan
- August 5 will be a special of the new series.
- August 12 is a national holidays (Mother's day). so either premiere new series or another special (like on April 13 and 14) If they do air another special, new series will be premiere on August 19.

I think GMMTV will rush a lot of series to premiere in this Quarter (July-September) because this is the beat time of this year to air series, as now major Thai channels like Channel 3 and Channel 7 starts to rerun as many productions has been delayed and major-production series of other companies were already finished broadcasting in Quarter 2.
