1. Yes, the hero command token is a call to arms for the martial world. It was constituted to unite the martial world against invading armies but in theory, the holder of the token can command the martial world to do whatever they want. That is probably why the leader of the Power sect LCZ is after it - bc he seeks power and commands loyalty using control meds such as the Misery Pill. I believe XQS will show that he doesn't need any so-called command token to unite the martial world, he can achieve the same by chivalry or righteousness.

It seems LSF's mother may have been the one in the Baicao sect that formulated the Marching Pill, which would have made a near invincible army but had terrible side effects and had to be destroyed. His father should be Tang Fang's father from the Tang sect, who abandoned them. LCZ took him in and more or less raised him, thus his loyalty to the Power sect. The righteous sects, allegedly led by the Xiao family united to erase the formula for the pill by also eliminating the Bai sect - which is why LSF has a huge grudge against the Xiao family. There must be some further conspiracy behind the Bai family and the pill but it hasn't been revealed yet.
The “main quest” was one way of completing the game, while becoming sect leader was another way of unlocking…

I think LCZ is a complex villain, maybe not evil for the sake of being evil but from the name of his organization Power league or sect, it shows he is out for absolute dominance over the martial world. He and XQS should be mirror characters - one who leads by power and control (might makes right) vs the other who leads by righteousness and chivalry. It is 权力/ quánli vs 义/yì. I don't think there needs to be a final showdown between them (although Cheng Yi fighting Cheng Yi could be interesting) bc XQS should win hearts and minds, which is more important than winning by power alone.

Well superficially their appearances are different - LCZ is white haired and LSF has known him for 15 years and knows him to be much older than XQS. Even if they resemble each other, LSF would dismiss it. Beyond that, their voices are completely different (CY is as LCZ is dubbed by a VA with a much deeper tone than CY's).
