Title The Rebel Princess Spoiler
Who is the guy that got surrounded by Xiao Qi's army and then bombed? Who was he working for/with? He Lan Zhen?…
A bit of both. The emperor seems to know what is going to happen to A'wu/Wang Xuan and he laments about it to his eunuch and expresses regret that she must die but says he has no choice he doesn't have much time left. So he is obviously behind it and that envoy must be acting on his instruction.

I think it was in 8 or 9. Basically anyone who would kidnap her wants leverage against her dad and/or Xiao Qi. A Wang Lin/Xiao Qi alliance is the biggest threat to the emperor who has figured out who poisoned him. He is pretending to be mad but plotting against them. They tell us a few times the emperor is a very good chess player. Xiao Qi is very smart - he also knows whoever took Wang Xuan wants to use her against him and/or her father. That's all I should say for now without spoiling you too much.

Ah... tyvm. I meant to make a list for mysteries/thrillers but I haven't had the time. I did do a overall ranking list (see below) for 2020 dramas I watched, many of which are mystery/thrillers. Have you watched Ancient Detective and The Danger of Her? Those are both actually really good. Also Day & Night is quite good. And if you watch French films, there is Iris on Netflix (not the Korean one).

No I mean the emperor her uncle. He planned her kidnapping so that envoy must have been sent by him.

Not sure how you're defining Mary Sue..... if you're trying to say she's physically weak then yes she's not playing…
Yeah the age bashing is extremely unkind when we know we would all give our eye teeth to look like her at that age.... or any age for that matter. Why would anyone want to watch an 18 year old who can't even speak her own lines and has a totally uninteresting but pretty face? During those times, 16 was a grown up age - people live to what 50 or60 at MOST!

EP 8--the wedding was nice! I love the decorations and set of this drama. Everything is done so simple, and yet…
I think the way he left definitely hurt her pride. But in the grand scheme of things he needed to get away AND she is still in love with Zidan. Its good he gives her space and time to get over it.

I mean she is openly sleeping with the second prince, she could get pregnant and saddle him with a bastard grandson.…
Yeah maybe this part just doesn't make that much sense because as @Skibbies pointed out this part was written into the drama.

Review The Victims' Game Spoiler
Hi! I always love your reviews! I have to disagree here though... this drama wasn't being overly ambitious. It…
Thanks for sharing you thoughts, I love hearing from other viewers. I guess I had not focused on the how to aspect of it other than that the methods were gruesome and intended to send a social message. For me there were just too many social grievances to hit in one drama, I just didn't connect with any of the victims or the main characters. I would probably check out a Season 2 although tbh, I would have preferred they just wrapped it up properly. Have you watched 13 Reasons Why? It is an American production on Netflix also.

The thing is what is the point aiming for the throne (which I think is clear is what the PM is doing) if you have no one to leave it to? Or worse if your grandson is not really your grandson? Plus the second prince is an unfavored prince without a mother from one of the four families (and more but if you haven't seen 15 I won't spoil you). The PM only needs his own military might and Xiao Qi's military to seize power.

Well he only has to get rid of her, he doesn't need to mess with the prince. I am just thinking if he waits until she has a kid.... well that becomes really messy... Plus its just making my blood boil how open she is about it!

Rejected bc I didn't say it is the official poster I just said it was ugly. Heheh! Maybe you should try - just make sure you say its the official picture which is the rule. And is true by the way. Someone must have said that sallow ugly picture is the official one which is simply not true.

I am surprised given how ambitious and ruthless he is that Wang Lin doesn't kill off his daughter in law:
I mean she is openly sleeping with the second prince, she could get pregnant and saddle him with a bastard grandson. Why not just have her killed off, why is he tolerating this nonsense from her.

according to the novel it's not polygamy.
Ah yes ok... I think in the novel he had 3 or 4 concubines but as per @Skibbies below they were not wives and I think he got rid of them once she came into the picture.

Is this drama similar to Minglan in the sense that ML and FL will be faithful to each other until the very end…
I don't really know for sure but from what I can see, I don't think this is that kind of show. I am one of the few who didn't watch Ming Lan - I felt it is even more boring than palace harem it is common people harem.

At first I thought around 16 years old and high school but she started to work as intern and she mentioned that…
I think no more than 18? He met her mom on a 10 year undercover operation and then he was in a coma for 8 years? The actress is only 15.
