Hmm I was about to recomment 'The Promise of Chang’an ' to you with all smart characters but then ... I read…
I don’t watch that many either. Just Fargo and Billions. And whatever is on airplanes when we could still travel once upon a time a long long time ago.

You are right it’s Man in the High Castle. Fargo S4 out tonight led by Chris Rock. You don’t have to watch in order they are all standalone seasons.
Let me know how Chang’an goes.

Hmmm... thx for the color - I did watch the first two but I just felt uninspired by her and in general and didn't continue. I have cleared my watchlist bc I want to binge Fargo S4 and King of the High Castle but I may revisit after it completes and some reviews are out. Its long so a big commitement. I have been doing better with shorter dramas ever since things have gone back to normal for me now that my city is out of social distancing again.

The Long Night is a story about how much Jiang Yang sacrifices to bring justice to a victim...it was a long struggle…
Yeah I needed more justice also. It was definitely not enough.

Actually that is a good thought I came very close to watching that. But I hear its a remake of a complicated and tragic, historically inspired story. I am ok with/tend to like those but its one where the FL role is the most important role and I think the actress they cast is not good enough to pull off the role. I would rather wait to watch it later on down the road when they remake it with a more competent actress.

She says she has memory of both Mo Wan and Mo Xin. So I think the new Mo Wan has the essence of both sisters.…
Thx, that is the nail in the coffin... I am not invested yet and I loath palace drama. Hope it takes a turn for the better for you.

Heh... I love your intrepetation but can't quite convince myself to buy it. I was wondering whether Wenxi dies…
Actually I am very glad you came up with a happy view. :)

Ugh! This is bad. Flat comedy, the FL in her sister's body has a completely different personality from what we see of the empress, they are definitely not the same person at all. The actresses didn't bother to sync up their portrayal at all. No chemistry between leads just another childish air headed FL that is supposed to be smart. Even Chen Zheyuan can't save this. Dropping.

I don't think cp dies. There is no exact portrayal of his death. Wenxi used the same hairpin to attempt suicide…
Heh... I love your intrepetation but can't quite convince myself to buy it. I was wondering whether Wenxi dies also which is why they are together in the ending scene... Otherwise she would never agree to leave their son in the emperor's custody...

I was so sad I waited a few hours before watching the ending episode.

That girl really set things in motion and went on with her happy life while everyone dragged into the mess lost…
Yeah I felt a teensy bit better when Zhu Wei told her off but to make up,for it she throws her hubby under the bus and HE goes to jail! WTF!!! Jiang Yang’s first fair weather girlfriend was not much better....

Yeah if a troll like that ever knocks on my door I will show her the door immediately...

Agree completely - I think what made me the maddest is that it cost the person who demanded justice a little bit but it cost their lackey every damn thing thing.

He is CP's cousin.
No worries... If you recall part of his backstory is already revealed in Part 1. It is just that his loyalties are not that clear and CP is suspicious of him and keeps him at arms length. It turns out that the former Empress (CP mother) saved him so he is grateful and becomes an ally.

Its all Li Jing's fault.
She ruined Jiang Yang's life by asking him to investigate the death of her dead lover. Maybe they got justice but the cost was so high. It cost him everything.
