really cannot stand the sight and sound of Bai! She's such a hindrance to WX.
I still mostly like her but I think they really did make her a bit more annoying this season. Like the screaming and the constant need to be saved. And the making of Bambi eyes... But she hasn't been completely useless yet so she is still on my good side although I have to agree her character has regressed.

The ending was too neat - its like a waste of time if there was a witness all along! And this woman is so evil she just watched a murder take place she could have stopped it a gazillion times and she does nothing and doesn't come forward. Finally Meibao herself knows how vicious he is, she just lets him go without making sure he leaves??? It was so beyond stupid! Slaps forehead!That's why she is dead - no survival instinct. I think they should have stopped it at 15 even though its a darker way to end it.

It's really solid until ep 12-14-ish. I really didn't expect it to fall apart like that, which makes me wonder…
I saw somewhere it is based on a novel but don’t know if it follows the story faithfully. The last episode feels like they wanted to give it a less dark ending, like let Meibao free herself and choose to live. But yeah it sags towards the end but is still a good show. :)

I think the person in the white dress is her brother... he used to wear a wig to disguise himself as a girl to take her piano lessons. That is also why the pictures are a threat to them Meibao has nothing to fear but her brother does since he is celebrated pianist. To be honest that part of the plot is very weak because I think neither of them have anything to fear once they are grownup. The pictures are actually evidence of child abuse. Its the biggest plot hole IMHO. I have a strong impression that the stepfather was more into abusing the boy than the girl - even the creepy way he says his son and he will always be close at the end...
