Well you should read @Skibbies critical review and then one of the others. I enjoyed it a lot even though the role of Qin Shi Huang was miscast because of the other pivotal characters. If you are very knowledgeable, you may like @Skibbies have a lot of fault to find with it but if you only know a bit but not a lot (like me), you will still find it very interesting.

Thank you for writing this, I really enjoyed this ALMOST as much as your original Lao Ai post (at the very bottom of this review) which is hard to beat. As a big fan of your insights, I urge you to post these thoughts to a proper review and attach or even incorporate all your contributions because you have no idea how helpful it is. But if not, then at least just make it a discussion about historical insights in the discussion thread so it doesn't get lost. Of course you shouldn't tack it to my or anyone else's write up - it would be intellectually dishonest and would not give proper credit to you. I am sure I speak for many to say how much fun an enlightening it has been to watch this with you. Awww.... I was looking forward - there needs to be balanced reviews for every show and besides none of us are as well equipped to be critical. Ah ok - I am gonna watch a few of My Best Friend's Story too just because of Ni Ni but I may not complete either. I got unexpectedly hooked on The Penalty Zone - its so good I keep binge-ing it. I think my fav this year was Winter Begonia by a wide margin and I loved Ancient Detective also. I watched a few of Fearless Whisper but lost momentum. I may go back to it. I know I won't be able to find any of the older shows you are watching, I can't even find Qin1 in Chinese! BTW - still waiting your review for this...
