Please enlighten me, as to how can L&R with 10 lifes reincarnation can on air. I though china ban reincarnation?…
Its gotten through in other xianxia dramas as well. I think as long as its peripheral to the story or doesn't promote some kind of religious or superstitious ideas its ok. And to give credit to the production companies they constantly push the boundaries of what is allowed even though sometimes their shows get stuck for years or never see the light of day.

I actually asked the same question. Doesn't seem like it because otherwise everyone would've flocked to the novel…
Oh.... good idea... I need to finish Reunion S2 first which apparently started airing.

Heh even the epic plot twist you hint at is very predictable and the only possible way to end this well. I don't actually mind tragedies or complex stories but the most important thing is the actress that is in the middle of it has to really act her heart out. Her role is even more important than Cheng Yi's. Plus I have seen enough of him crying at this point I would like to see him in a different light. Maybe even as a villain...

Work from home is over for me so my watching time is more limited now I am gonna wait to see some more feedback before I commit to this one... Keep me posted if you keep going...

I am convinced this is gonna be a tragedy I don't need spoilers or book endings to tell me that. With this kind of back story there is no way it ends well. All I have to say is the FL is gonna have to be able to really act because she is the character that is gonna be torn between her kid and her lover. I am highly skeptical that that vain noisy woman from L&R is gonna cut it.

Just finished the first episode 1. Laughed my ass off with the FL tactics when she helped her big sis out. I love…
Is she ok in this? I haven't started this because my ear drums are still healing from her wailing like a banshee in L&R. I am a bit scared to expose them to her again so soon...

Review The Untamed
Since I'm currently in love with both Han Shuo (Tiger and rose -more lighthearted drama) and Chengyin (Goodbye…
I don't think Mark Chao can top his own Yehua. its like Hu Ge will probably never be able to top Mei Changsu... I need to watch Goodby My Princess its just been a depressing year I am trying to avoid tragedies... My all time favoite male character is Chen Kun's Ning Yi.

Check out the newbie ML in Maiden Holmes, I think he is still a young actor with room to grow but he is very charismatic and is one to watch.

Review The Untamed
I love reviewers like you and Avenuex because you guys are capable of judging dramas with objectivity: Storytelling,…
Hihi - thanks for your comments. You are so right... while of course its very important how a drama makes us feel and the cast chemistry, it cannot be the only criteria as those can be very subjective and different people can feel very differently. Getting a review right has to balance the objective criticism and the more subjective aspects. Its hard to get it right and thre is a lot of peer pressure to love idol actors or touching love stories in a way that is blind to all the flaws in the production. Its very lonely to not like something or not like it as much as everyone else. I find it particularly difficult with shows like this where the books huge hits and the book fans already know the story and the characters so they won't or can't see the flaws in the storytelling or shortcomings in the acting.

Sounds like we like many similar things. I dropped Tiger and Rose because I had a bad experience with Lusi in Love of Thousand Years but I am sure I will watch it at some point. I hope to see you start reviewing dramas because it would be great to hear some more balanced voices out there...

He's a good 'chess player' (even though chess has not been featured here) :D
Heheh... I know I was just being cheeky... and he takes off his shirt almost as often as Sifeng spits blood so I had sufficient provocation!

He certainly has the right chest for it...

He needs to learn from Yu Si Feng :P
Hmmm... He seems to be managing quite well but if he needs lessons I would prefer he doesn't kiss Sifeng... Best I take one for the team and teach him myself! Hehehehe!!!

THE PROMISE OF CHANG’AN who is ready to start watching and drama just aired. we can not get enough of Cheng…
Its sounds like a very dark and complicated story. Even though I love that kind of stuff, I still need to be in the right mood for it. Not sure if that is right now but I will for sure watch it at some point.

Title Love and Redemption Spoiler
hmm idk how I feel about the wrap up. I think HC needed to be killed by LHDJ to be satisfactory. I can't accept…
He drank poison wine and dies. LHDJ was not out for revenge for himself would not be pacified unless Bailin dijun dies to deliver justice not revenge for all the lost souls from his genocide against the demon race. He repents and hopes to reincarnate and make himself worthy again after thousands of years. My guess is he becomes a cockroach. It will take him a lot of amazing karma to become a cockroach demon much less a mortal... LHDJ dies with him because I guess because he gave half his heart to Xuanju and the other half to Xifeng. Ikr WTF??? But in all seriousness, I feel quite sorry for him. I mean, what a big f*** up!!!

I counted the times they kissed. Pretty sure it is ten in my memoris. Right guys?
I am way to lazy to count anything from spitting blood to kissing... But if I were to do one, I think its way better to count the latter rather than the former...

Review Sisyphus Spoiler
Ending Spoiler:
After he discovers his daughter's death was not an accident but that she was murdered, Zhang Haifeng participates in a science experiment that sends him into his own subconscience to try to discover who, how, when and why. So it seems he goes back in time but he doesn't really. His subconcious memory reveals that Zhao Binbin was working with Sun Xiaomeng because she blames him for her father's accidental death. His guilt at being an overworked cop and a negligent father colors how he wishes things could have play out differently each time but with certain inevitable outcomes each time (ie, everyone who dies still dies just in a different way). It ends with him imagining at the end that he adopts both Binbin and Xiaomeng when they were abandoned at the orphanage as a final act of atonement or a way to change the course of events as they occured later. It is a very sad ending because it is just a hallucination, what actually happened is what we are told in the very beginning and cannot be changed. This is just a lot of guesswork on my part and someone else probably may have a much different intrepetation.
