If you watch the opening theme song I believe that she marries Han Derang, they are both in wedding costumes. I saw on some Chinese sites it is said that in history Xiao Chuo kills her or has her killed. But the book and drama may handle this part differently and probably doesn't follow (folk) history.

Criminal Minds is much, much darker. I stopped watching bc of that.

Mingyi is just pathetic. Is there no new low level for this guy to stoop to? Stealing letters and throwing a pity party to stop her from leaving after promising to let her go? And I can't believe she falls for it and falls in line with his plans so easily. I had hoped Tang Yan would go out of her comfort zone and live up to Yanyan's reputation as a smart and strong woman but she defaults back to her usual same old same of being a very pretty but weak Mary Sue all over again. Her strong moments are dressing down a concubine and her brother in law with a few sharp words. Even Ms Li is turning out to have more back bone - Derang would be better served riding off into the sunset with her and not looking back.

I am a bit disappointed with 22 and 23:
