I actually usually find villains pretty interesting and can appreciate a well acted villain. This is not although he has gotten better in the latest episodes. I just really didn't like the pity party, pouting and Nong Nong baby talk - I am an equal opportunity hater of baby talk from both male and female characters.

Ah.... I just watched it... So that is what happened... Although I am starting to think that Duke An may end up being the big villain here. He just seems a lot smarter than Xindu/Prince Cheng. Although Consort Duan is pretty scary as well... I am skeptical about Xu Yan unless he is a wolf in sheep clothing because he is a weak character. He may have known where Fu Rong was because Fu Rong was taken by his father/Consort Duan/Prince Cheng? But I didn't watch that trailer, I rarely watch trailers.

I don't think the emperor has named a crown prince yet but I think he favors Prince Su.

I suspect she will become the wife/consort of Prince Cheng. Then it will be Prince Cheng/Qi Zhu vs Prince Su/Fu Rong in a battle for the throne. Sometimes I wonder whether her brother really died.

Recall she had a huge crush on Farmer Ju Shui, Duke An's alternate identity from the very beginning. I don't think she was working for Duke An until after she accidentally killed Ruyi.

Yeah that works too but that is less likely to make Duke An die from an imaginary stab in the heart...

Yeah @Me_lovedrama and @Nkauj Noog I think Duke An has his fingerprints all over this because he knew Ruyi was dead and conveniently arranged for Fu Rong and Prince Su to show up. But it also could have something to do with the 3rd Prince/Xindu faction although lower probability...

I know everyone is mad about the stabbing but there is one silver lining... we wouldn't get to see him shirtless otherwise...

I don't understand why Ruyi killed herself. Someone must be blackmailing her... there is a bigger mystery here... Like maybe Duke An (or someone else) has some hold over her or knows some of her secrets... So he could still be culpable. (There is some poetic justice to the blackmailer being blackmailed...)

They should name the kid after Duke An bc they owe it all to him... that will surely just kill him dead!

I think he can tell that Fu Rong is attracted to Prince Su but he is a megalomaniac - he thinks he successfully convinced her that he murdered her shifu. He also seems unaware of the fact that Nong Nong (barf! nausea!) is just not that into him.

Yups.... but keep in mind I also liked the last two episodes almost as much because I was LMAO at Prince An's stupidity.... I mean only a real dumbass marries off the girl of their dreams to their love rival! That must go in the hall of fame for dumbest move ever! The guy must be on drugs or 5 years old! And I like to see the each party make the other work for it. Its much more interesting than love at first sight.
