Title Love and Destiny Spoiler
It wasn't hard for LX to get out since she sealed him from outside. It was much harder for JC to get out because…
Even JX told JC he is not the only one who can deal with it - JC, shifu, Tien Jun and maybe Tien Lei AND LX (but not Yun Feng who volunteered) were probably the only ones who could. Why LX and not YF when they are both high gods? Early on when Zhong Hao was torturing JX he mentioned that only someone from the phoenix tribe can easily enter and exit the abyss.
JX told JC that whoever went would be stuck there for eternity. JC didn't want to let his shifu do that bc of filial duty and also as War God it is his job, no one elses. Even if JC and shifu went one of them would be sealed inside and JC would never let that one be his shifu. I suspect shifu was going to ask LX to help him seal the gate because she can fly out as a bird afterwards. Shifu was willing to do this so that JC and LX can be together afterwards.
Technically it only took one person to seal the gate - YT and JX both are liars or they didn't give full info. One person to seal the gate while the other person holds the demon lord inside. That is why it is probably easy to unseal the gate and come back out - once they deal with the bigger problem of not letting the demon lord back out at the same time. That is where we are left to make our own analysis as to how JC managed it. I never thought it was such a big plot hole or loose thread.
Hope that helps . :)

Ah... makes sense. Well if you haven't seen it, I suggest you check out Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms or Eternal Love (Netflix title). L&D was great but I watched it only once. I had to ban myself from rewatching TMOPB I got so addicted to it. I think pretty much anyone can watch it on Youtube but its under the original Chinese TMOPB title.

Indeed - your memory is better than mine... I mostly remember I really didn't like the 30/40s+ episodes and that was one of a few attempts at filler humor that fell flat on me...

Does anyone know what's written in the letter on ep 44???
I think it was a piece of paper that says he has a concubine. Assume he didn't want her to see that. It was not that great an attempt at humor.

Yes it is but though playing a 20 years young prince it is a little bit awkward, don't you think? ????
This topic comes up often in historical c-dramas. But to put it in perspective, average life expectancy was very low in ancient China - i think under 40 years and the marriage age was around 14-16. People matured and aged a lot faster as well so a 20 year old prince in those days has likely lived half his life already and in today's age is probably not that far off from Luo Jin's current age. A young 20 year old actor is less likely to be able to convincingly pull off the sophistication and maturity that many of the more complex roles call for and has in a few dramas ended in immature and shallow performances - in other words a total train wreck. These "teenage" characters from those times are far more mature than the present day norms of that same age group.

OMG this is a must watch... But uhm... don't Yang Mi and Tang Yan hate each other??? Hope the wrong kind of sparks…
Tbh I barely follow celeb gossip, I think all the "fights" etc all generate publicity anyway so none of them actually mind that much what the rabid fans are saying negative or otherwise. But that specific rumor was pretty widespread if even I heard about it so I was surprised to see them teamed up here but looks like that won't happen. The show itself I hope does happen bc of Hu Ge and I wouldn't mind seeing him cast alongside Tiffany instead because Hu Ge + Yang Mi has been done before very successfully already. I do like both actresses about equally.

I wonder if everyone who watched the first 4 episodes manages to catch the full intricacies of the 'Plot of the…
I had to watch twice to figure out what happened with the scrolls. I am only at 6 but the exam fiasco so far is easier to follow. To be honest I don't love the approach the screenwriter has taken with these plot twists. We don't need full disclosure but what we get to see does not even meet the standard of fair disclosure. This prevents us from being a participant in the crown prince's play and really buy into it. We are just confused bystanders that are either impressed or dismayed when the plot is uncovered. They don't get it that part of the thrill is trying (successful or not) to figure it out ahead of time. That said, I am loving the initial interactions between the main characters, in particular the two leads.

I seem to be stuck at 6 for now - I can see there are up to 10 out on a Youtube playlist I just can't get access to no matter what I try. Boo! :(

For those asking about quality of English subtitles, I watched episode 2 againto compare two versions from different…
I also found Astro had excellent subtitles for Longest Day in Changán and Love and Destiny - better and comparable to Viki respectively. Its too bad its not easy to access but many sites like Dramacool often manage to obtain the Astro version - look for yellow font subs its usually from Astro.

Why does the king hate his crown prince so much?
It is a very complex relationship - he is reluctantly proud of him but at the same time feels threatened by him. He is envious of his relationship with his teacher and his uncle. He is frustrated by his defiance, his lack of trust and his bad habit of showing him up in front of the court. He thinks he is weak because of his compassion and yet is humbled by it. Ultimately it is also just survival instinct. There is a lot of precedence throughout not only Chinese but world history of the impatient heir that deposes his father. The crown prince is not blameless in this. But so far I suspect they actually love each other.

Title Eternal Love
It's too easy to rewatch since it's still on Netflix. It took me months to calm myself from continuous rewatching.…
I prefer re-watching it on re-youtube because I find it easier to fast forward but yes indeed its so easy to get sucked into the rewatch. On Untamed I am on ep 18 but for some reason I am still not hooked. I started it 5 months ago, it must be the longest it is taking me to watch something. That said, I think its ok, I don't hate it I am just not hooked.

Nirvana in Fire - its not a light drama but to me its still really is the best c-drama made to date. Funnily in so many ways my top 2 cannot be more different from each other. They are almost opposities...

To be fair it is only a small bit - like about 6:30 minutes into episode 2. I didn't notice it until the second time I watched it.
