Y’all might find it cute, but ML like this is genuinely irritating and annoying to me, like there’s so much…
I think that is definitely how it appears but he also has an ulterior motive for staying close to her. It is quite clear that someone hidden within the 6 Sects is behind Chang Fort massacre and what went down all those years ago. He is playing up his (genuine) infatuation with her bc it gives him a good excuse to stick around. It is kind of convenient that his goals align and I would agree that it cold be interesting to see what he does when/if hey diverge. I wouldn't be surprised if they go there at some point in the narrative.

It is an unpopular opinion for some: but I am really glad Zhao Zhao is doing what she is doing. I feel like so…
Indeed even though some of the triangle set up etc are cliche, her reactions and way of dealing with them are not.

True but I think the FL has every right to string everyone along - what I like about her is she is not a people…
No what I said applies to both men and women equally - no man or woman should have to make personal decisions like that under time pressure to please someone else's timetable. They should take what time they need to be sure they know what they want. And their admirers don't have to wait around for them - they have free will and can choose to walk away anytime. If they choose to wait around for them, that's on them.

As for Lingbo I think we must be watching a different drama bc this chick is all about tantrums. Can't feel that bad for her - she has been stringing along her Plan B second disciple. And she will be much happier with him. If she were as brave and decisive as you claim, she'd have broken off her engagement already. And why not also call her out for doing exactly the same thing you think the FL has been doing? Yuqi also has beeen stringing what’s her name along - not sure why he is a victim? In fact the FL has hurt no one - Yuqi is in love with someone else, Yuzhi's feelings are one sided AND he still is engaged to someone else. And we know she will choose the ML eventually. So no one is a victim here - in fact you can argue both Yuqi and Yuzhi are the cads.

Yups he has his own agenda too and she is not sure that some of those motives don’t involve using her!

Ep. 21: I've lost respect for FL. She is the best fighter in 6 sects & can hold her own in a fight against…
True but I think the FL has every right to string everyone along - what I like about her is she is not a people pleaser, she pleases herself first. She obviously is drawn to the ML but the situation is complex to say the least so she hasn't made up her mind IF or HOW to go forward with him. And she has firmly and transparently told Yuqi she has no plan of marrying him anytime soon just to please everyone else. After all Yuqi is the one that wants to marry someone else. Why should it be on her to dump him - then its going to look like two generations Cai women broke off with Zhou men. The ball is in the spineless Yuqi's court. Why should she take the fall for it? Her engagement is a good excuse to keep both the ML and Yuzhi at arm's length while she decides on her own terms what is best for her. Yes, for once we have a selfish FL who puts herself and her wants first instead of pleasing everyone but herself. Why is that disappointing? I am totally cheering for her!!!

I think at this point of the narrative Qi Yunke is increasingly

Those who said that Bao Shangen only had 1 expression really need to watch today's episodes and watch how she…
She really is pretty good - her role here and her lines are much better than Whispers of Fate.

I don't get the complains seriously, their acting is superb 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah - drama is not perfect, the editing is a bit messy, especially in the beginning. But the acting and the story is very good. And so is the dialogue, esp that of the FL. But this kind of stuff is usually lost in translation.

Yes, my smart TV has the Tencent app. It's under "wetv" and works just fine for me. I'm not sure about…
It should be there. Depending on your region you should search for WeTV or Tencent Video. I have Samsung, Sharp, Sony and LG TVs, they all have it .

Title Generation to Generation Spoiler
In at ep 2, do the further episodes ever explain why ML is clingy to FL? Sure, their family might have been close,…
He is using her and has an ulterior motive.

ZYR was terrific in 12 Letters. I think he is pretty good here too but the director is overly fond of making idol…
He pulled more or less the same sh*t in The Double but I think that had a much simpler plot with so many melodramatic and tropey arcs it was easy enough to follow that people were able to ignore the editing. This has a rush out to air kind of feel to it - even the dubbing is not really well synced. Kind of bothers me bc I am just following the dialogue not reading subtitles.

Not sure what you are asking - are you confused or not confused?
Yeah, its not a jianghu story unless there are all kinds of eccentric characters with strange skills popping out of the woodworks left and right.

Yeah I am low-key annoyed by it - but at least he has toned down the excessive melodrama of The Double.

I would seriously recommend those who are lost or confused in the first 1-2 eps to either give the drama a little…
Yes totally agree - I don’t want to be spoon-fed in such a boring way. Dropped both Divine Tree and How Dare You for the overly not confusing but boring exposition style of storytelling. Not to mention the FLs doing the narration in an overly childish high pitched voice.

Seems like we got 50% of the watchers confused/lost and 50% knowing what's up right away. Im def not in the last…
I think the plot is fairly straightforward - the ML is simply trying to find out who the mastermind behind lthe Chang Fort massacre and avenge the Chang family. So far the clues point at some of the members of the alliance of 6 sects colluding with the demon sect. All the subplots tie to this quest. The FL is helping him because there are hints that it is the same conspirators behind the destruction of her aunt’s early demise years ago.
