@AleksandraSucur already alludes to it below. I don't know how much it will follow history as the drama is set in a fictional dynasty - meaning they will change stuff and I am behind on episodes so I can't add much beyond that is the setup is based on the Li Wei conflict.

That's good to hear in the sense that means the novel does have plot movement? Right now its like a bucolic Disney/Bollywood movie - two infatuated people eyeballing each other and chasing each other around the village and singing songs and dancing... Its very cute and pretty but... is there more to it???

Its relaxing and gorgeous for sure but not enough plot movement for me.

Please re-read what I said carefully - I merely pointed out this review is 6 years old. Since I have no plan to re-watch any part of it my opinions stand. This is a very very very pretty drama. But up to ep 7 nothing happens plot wise. Kind of boring in a mesmerizing way. So far the story reminds me of Lady in the Butcher's Shop but the comedy in that one lands a lot better.

This was written YEARS ago and were my honest reactions at the time. What happened to him was tragic and you of course are welcome to your own impressions - go write your own review its all good. As for internet conspiracy theories, no time for that - you can go down that rabbit hole without me.

Nope had no issue with the voice actor just the facial expressions and body language.

Directing is a lot better. Acting is meh.

She was not in Dashing Youth. Her role in Whispers of Fate wasn't great. That was a terrible drama. I couldn't finish it.

Swords into Plowshares is great - I really enjoyed it! Couldn't get into How Dare You but I may give it another try sometime down the road. Haven't had time to watch much this year - seems every year gets busier!😅
