I've watched until ep 16. I think there will be romance? Both of the leads will have their own girl/wife? For…
Having caught up to 16, I highly doubt the leads will have romance. I suspect Dora has a lost lover who owns the stupid cloak she was fighting with Tang Fan over and she will ask him to help her locate him. And I think the silly Yu girl is just going to be in this one arc. If anything Dr Pei elopes with Tang Fan's sister - that is the only likely romance from what I can see.

why coz of the ML too ? im droppin this checkin out heavenlysworddragonslayinsabre
Yeah they should have cast a more experienced actor as Wuji - the guy was just too green he didn't have enough screen presence. Yang Xiao stole the limelight. That said, best remake so far.

The strength of this drama lies in the way the trio male leads are used in this drama and how their ever-evolving…
I don't like the humor either - it is funny in small doses but they always take it too far and it just becomes crass. The problem is Jackie Chan is such a legend (who has a rather low sense of humor) that no one dares to criticize him or give him honest feedback.

As someone who never read the book, I am not at all invested in what happened in the book and am indifferent as to whether they change it in the drama. A change for the better is fine by me. That said, I don't think romance needs to be a part of this be it BG or BL. If they can incorporate it and it is well done, that's great, even if it is BG. The 3 core characters are interesting enough by themselves. All the rest is rather superflous, I am not going to get that fussed abou it.

I liked the old title as well, but they were apparently worried about reminding people they are under corona quarantine…
Yeah, I am into my third month of social distancing and my apartment definitely feels like a lonely castle at this point. I probably would have waited to watch this if they didn't change the name.

You have a same mind with me !, f*cking director,he ruins the good creator story , when i watch hot blooded young,WHAT…
Yeah I had to drop ELOD as well. I hate this guy. He loves making women look dump and stupid. And he turned Dijun into a stupid teenager rather than make Fengjiu grow up. He ruined that story and those characters as well. What a turd. I won't watch anymore of his drama. I don't know about his endings bc I never make it to the end.

Yeah painful - I really struggled through the first episode. I hope it picks up.
It is snail's pace - I dozed off a few times. NIF ep 1 was confusing bc of many characters but it had an air of intrigue from the get go. This one didn't really, just a lot of character intros. I will still watch a few before judging it but just make sure you are well caffeinated before attempting the first episode.

I can get up to 14 but its raw on mango TV. Depends on how fast Amazon will sub it.
Same title Love of Thousand Years. I think she can fight a bit but this is not a wuxia the fighting is peripheral. Looks like Prime Video is slow they are only at 10, Youtube is at 12 and I can already get 18 (but no subs).

For sure - I am so very glad I watched this before I watched TROP.. That said, the romance here is much more obvious.
It all gets worked out but yes, frustrating!

Oh she causes a lot more mischief before she is found out again. She is gonna mess things up for them again from the jail. This goes on to the end - even when she is busted she manages to squirm her way out of it and come back to cause more trouble.

Whereabouts are you in the drama? Lingxi is her target throughout and she lies about her a few times.

Is it just me who thinks Andrew who plays SXR looks a teensy weensy tiny bit like Leslie Chueng?
I started watching this because Farewell My Concubine was one of the unforgettable movies I watched. And one of my big regrets is I never got to see Leslie in concert even once before his death. I was so happy for him that the movie gained him international recognition though.

I’m on episode 7 and I got the feeling that tang and that girl in red are gonna end up marrying somehow.
Impossible - he is living with Sui Zhou already - they are domestic partners with maid/adopted child and all already. Plus that girl is super annoying, he can do better.

Yeah Luo Jin's acting in RN was really excellent but I don't think his character is at all like Ning Yi. He plays a weak crown prince who actually has a lot of power but is too idealistic and not ruthless enough to use it effectively . Ning Yi is a relatively powerless prince who is much more realistic, very ruthless and strong. To me, they are very different, almost completely opposite characters. The emperor in this show is much more like Luo Jin's character in RN in terms of being idealistic to the point of unrealistic.
