Its not weird...the drama clearly showed him being invited to stay in the mansion and arrangements being made for the same when he arrested the brother

If this were another drama, I’m sure the comment would be something along the lines of:

“The ML is so restrained around everyone else, but completely loses it around the FL.” 😂
“He’s so composed with everyone else, but the FL is his weakness.”
“I love how she brings out a completely different side of him.”

But when it’s this drama, suddenly it’s, “My nephew acting pitiful to get candy.” 😭😂

The bias isn’t even subtle anymore. And when there isn’t much to criticise, I guess you have to get creative and find something. 💀

Handing over seals is equal to having full authority...that's why XZT always resisted when she was told to give back her seals...i think you should read carefully, it wasn't that it was not explained, the explaination was not convincing and too convenient for the plot

ML has feelings for XLX because she is intelligent and resourceful but not towards Yuchan who has been with family way longer and has earned their trust and for whom ML went to great lengths to bring back into the family 🤔??

So Zhao is evil for wanting to be with her lover(who duped her) and finding ways to escape a marriage she never wanted but Xiuwan is innocent for being duped by Du duo....double standards...if Zhao family had another daughter they would probably have sent her to Lin family just like Lin family is sacrificing the other sister now

XLX's character has become too Mary Sue at thi point...disappointed with the writing...
ML drinking from FL's cup is too early and considering Lin Family standrds too forced...ML can admire her at this point, but crossing lines seems forced...

Madam Lin is just wolf in sheep's clothing...no master likes being outshone especially by someone they consider inferior...

So true...i am noticing such inconsistencies too, the plot lost its coherency from that angle....and the grandfather and uncles missing during epidemic, yet turning up to make an ominous decision is way too obvious

Ep 19 showed the true colours of Lin family..no matter how intelligent or resourceful one is XLX is still a maid, someone to be shifted off to another hall to serve once the matter settles, and why would XLX be reluctant to leave? Slaves getting their freedom, obviously they'll be overjoyed....why would someone assume one wants to live in servitude just because they think they they are fair and generous household...this clearly shows the mentality of people which lead to such exploitation in past...
Also the scene where XLX is getting her freedom and Zhao is being carried to her new prison...the contrast was painfully ironic

The reason is not convincing...it seems too early and premature...no matter how weak anyone thinks they are, the ancient masters never handover family seal to maids

No..he is back in today's episode making decisions for the family...his absence during epidemic was just convenient plot hole
