I get it XLX is intelligent, but handing over family seals which are of great importance this early is unbelievable...she is still a maid in the family...and ML drinking from her cup is too soon....the plot has lost coherency for me now...Lin family that broke engagement from Shen family to save it's skin is not a family that crosses such lines between maids and masters

The story makes sense to me...she knew her mother was killed wrongly by the Xie family , so the rage..but she doesn't know the culprit and has to infiltrate the mansion, dig up clues and avenge every wrong that happens...I dont have problem with the plot or it s unfolding....FL has acted well, but I find it similar to the way she portrays her other roles... He is not quack as per the time period of drama...he isn't covering up the epidemic, he is running away to report to authorities and have the mansion quarantined...
I am not really happy with Zhao Ye’s acting so far. I get that her character is serious, driven by revenge...but Zhao Ye seems to be using the same expressions she has in her other dramas. I’m just not feeling the character through her performance. Xu Kai seems to be doing all the heavy lifting here.

Don't trust ratings, haters downvote fans upvote...nothing can be trusted...watch the 1st 4 episodes and you can make a decision.. Personally I find the story unfolding at a good pace, with great visuals and acting by Xu Kai is good...there is enough material in each episode to satisfy and enough suspense to look forward for further episodes...I recommend this to my friends
Some of the subtitles are hilarious...they used words like bacteriostatic, bacteria , fourth child 🤣🤣 have learnt enough Chinese to understand the dialogues,so it didn't matter to me this time...but I can understand how frustrating it is for others

Sometimes strength is not about position or power..it is about the number and connections...Emperor is supposed to be the strongest, but he can't do much against corrupt officials as they are deep rooted,well connected and hide for one another... Here Yan Rui is powerful but has to use underhanded ways to deal with the corrupt officials, and Xie is against the whole household... I think this drama is more a battle of intelligence against the already established network, and FL has already brought corrupt Nanny down, taken over the household...but she still has to take down almost the entire Xie family...ML has to bring down the entire corrupt system, he has only gotten grain from Xie family, other officials haven't released their stores yet and he still has to find proof of their embezzelment... They released 6episodes today itself while other dramas release only 4.. So far for me it is going well
