It's very ambiguous in the drama. Certain parts seems to imply that they had the one night stand but other parts seem to suggest that they didn't. But there is also no reason given why LYZ was so upset about SZR and DXS relationship. The script and editing is so messed up that the story really doesn't make much sense anymore. It's such a waste as the actors are really good.

There were scenes of it in the original trailer and the novel also has this. In fact, in the novel, the one night stand was the key reason why LYZ was so against SZR and DXS relationship. In the drama they've retained the part that LXY was against their relationship but we never got a clear reason why. They keep on showing us that rain scene where DXS fainted ifo LYZ car w/o explaining /showing what happened afterwards. The terrible editing made the drama very incoherent.

Ya agree, it's was very ambiguous and I think it's because of the editing. Cause from the trailer we can see snippets of them on the bed and making out but it's probably cut. And in ep 1 in the airport you could see DXS clearly recognising LYZ's voice and feeling uneasy but there was no transition subsequently to follow up on this point.

If you like melodramas then this is definitely recommended. LYZ is the ML and in the novel the FL eventually will end up with him. SZR will only appear alive up to ep 6. Subsequently, only sporadically in flashbacks.
It's very sad to see Lan Xing Jie die in ep 42. She is truly a hero. Despite not being a trained spy she choose to sacrifice herself to ensure Lin Nan Sing can finish his mission.
