FL speech on honesty doesn’t sit right with me, especially since she is going after a man who is already in a relationship, and her piggy-back riding him was so inappropriate as a request. I felt really bad for his girlfriend for witnessing that scene. It’s not innocent.
—I’m dropping this show. Sorry, I can’t tolerate this glamorization of cheating and stealing someone’s man. It’s not cute and heart-warming. Sorry jcw and kyj, I tried to hold on but there’s no real substance to the show, I can’t continue to turn off my brain and my morals as I watch this. This is not a relationship I would support in real life, why should I support in drama?
—also barely anything happens on the show(if it was a slice of life or melodrama, I would accept it more) it’s more of like a bunch of random scenes and comedy sketches taped together. There are plenty of good comedy dramas that can be funny, moving, and have a good story like Chief Kim, Kkondae Intern, mystic pop-up bar, and etc —-this show isn’t it :(
BTW this recap is doing a very bad job at reviewing. You will learn that JCW might be in a relationship with his…
“ The thing is that whenever you are miserable you always go to the person you want to talk/see. Most people will dial a friend, a sibling or their parents. He is looking for her specifically. He also remembers the things she said. Most people forget about trivial things such as an app, but if you go to someone directly to ask her for the app, then you are looking for something else without you even realizing. ” —your first two sentences, there’s truth in that, however the rest of the statement is just your conjecture. I seen plenty of kids shows that uses horoscopes as part of the plot of an episode. Superstitions. People don’t believe the horoscopes and then when it supposedly come true, they take it more serious LOL
“ The fact that he tells his girlfriend that he is not going to fire her in one of the earlier episodes is another red flag. It clearly shows that there mutual feelings. Sure, you can say that his girlfriend works at the head office, but why would she care who you are going to hire. Or the fact that he is not honest with his girlfriend about him getting drunk with KYJ. If JCW did not want her to be close to him, he could have fired her or ignored her. But he does not...” —once again these are your conjectures.
—regardless even if this is the truth, the only thing that proves is that they are having an emotional affair. It shows that he is also a scum bucket if the feelings are already mutual. That’s cheating.

“ she is talking about coming up with a new menu and that they had more than 200 customers today, but he straight up ignores it.“ —well of course he ignores it. He’s feeling miserable and glum lol
“ He is only asking her to install an app and ask her why she is not able to work tomorrow. In other words, he is not checking up on the store, but on her.” —okay maybe he was not checking up on the store but neither was he checking up on her either. He was there for the app and, just curious since she’s his employee. Normally you tell your boss why can’t you come in for work
BTW this recap is doing a very bad job at reviewing. You will learn that JCW might be in a relationship with his…
“ Their interactions are minimal. It is more that he goes to her, whenever he is sad and drunk due to his fucked up relationship with his girlfriend. ” —minimal, that’s debatable. It’s not like he goes on rendezvous with her privately. He manages the store, so that’s where he heads often to check up on things, it’s not like he’s intentionally visiting her for a therapy session lol
“ She never approaches him or stalks him in private.” —thank goodness or restraining order ASAP lol
“ It is true that different social and academic status are not always a big deal, but in Korea it certainly is. Also, they hang out in different circles and she does not want to bring him into her circle. A relationship does not work whenever one partner treats the other as a second-tier citizen.” —I think we can all agree, his girlfriend is not the greatest. However, this fact has no correlation to FL behaviors lol
“ Although not a valid excuse, but thanks to KYJ the girlfriend might actually learn to see JCW in another light.)” —I was also thinking this LOL
BTW this recap is doing a very bad job at reviewing. You will learn that JCW might be in a relationship with his…
“ what I am trying to say is that what she showcases is mainly human nature. If you like someone very much, you will tend to boast about you own accomplishments. ” —I agree haha I just want to say it’s not so innocent like a child boasting.
“ In the first two episodes, there was a strong feeling that she was trying to wreck the relationship, but now there is more of a natural progression where they grow closer to each other.” —I don’t think it’s a natural progression if she’s still working at the store and putting herself in situations where feelings can be stirred. If she waited three years to apply for the job, she can absolutely wait longer when/if he is no longer in a relationship.
“ but I do share it with people that I like. My intention is not necessarily to have them break up with their significant other, but rather that they like me back as a person.” —that’s great! And that’s good you have pure motives when you showcase your accomplishments and the joyful events in your life. But let’s be honest, it’s not the same for FL. She is here to play haha
“ I think the first two episodes really set the wrong pace, because the director programmed us into thinking that she is out there to steal the guy. But now it is very mellow. JCW will not break up with his girlfriend because of KYJ, but because his girlfriend and him are not a great match in terms of education, background and status.” —but that’s what she is still doing by working at the store. There’s no reason for her to work there. People do not need to be in the same social status or academic status to compliment each other or be in a successful relationship. It’s just by chance for this specific relationship those issues are the dividing factor amongst others. FL is one of the issues. Even ML friend warned ML girlfriend...
For now I only watched the first episode and a part of episode 2 and I just can't get into the main characters…
“ Seem like we are watching the same dramas haha ! (Well in the moment I try most of the current dramas because I am bored and kdramas are like a drug to me to thriller me )” —it’s always nice seeing you around (^o^)丿
“ I dunno if I will continue this one so please tell me tomorrow if episode 4 is better ? ” —will do! Tomorrow is my last straw lol —I’m thinking about checking out MPB FL new drama, it’s coming out soon lol
“ I think I prefer when the two main lead -and I means in romantic dramas- have less romantic moments together but more " meaningful " than just random moments” —the same, I support this sentiment haha
“ I just did not like the last episode because of the editing and because I was awaiting a goodbye scene between them” —I was hoping that they leave too(it would be more poignant) and that WJ can be reincarnated as Kang Bae daughter lol
“ I am smirking like an idiot knowing they are indeed a family -the underpants moments and their faces ” — (^∀^)
BTW this recap is doing a very bad job at reviewing. You will learn that JCW might be in a relationship with his…
“ She is not preventing him to see her nor luring him into having sex with her.” —she’s obsessed, but I’m glad she’s not that obsessed haha —If she tried to prevent him from going to see his girlfriend, that’s when you file for restraining order lol
“ Sharing that she has a new record of customers and other sort of happiness is not flirting, but rather cute. It reminds me of a little kid that comes to you and tells you he/she became first at school or learnt a new song. That is not flirting... ” —That example may not be a flirtatious action but we already know what her intentions are and why she’s working at the store. Her winggirls spilled the tea lol —your example is of children innocence (friendship/family), hers is more of boasting to her crush and somewhat trying to boost up her image and the attractive points that she has. She can share her happiness to other people but no she chooses only him lol
“ His girlfriend on the other hand is almost a closed book. He does not know anything about her whilst they are together for two years (such as that her boss is a youth friend). Their relationship is bound to break up.” —I recommend you re-read the concluding paragraphs of the recap. It explains perfectly why the upcoming relationship of the leads is not okay. It doesn’t matter if the girlfriend is a good one or not. What FL is doing is worst than his girlfriend. She’s intentionally alluring someone who is in a relationship. If she waited for them to break up naturally instead of involving herself into the equation, then that would be an acceptable story.

“ You will learn that JCW might be in a relationship with his girlfriend, but that his girlfriend is ashamed for him and does not invite him to see her parents.” —I’m watching it with subs right now, yes it’s sad that his girlfriend is ashamed of his status and it is probably one of the conflicts that will lead them to break-up, however, I can’t deny the fact the FL will play a huge impact in the break-up. She’s tempting him and contributing to an emotional affair.
“ To me, they are building to a story that is much deeper...” —I hope that’s the case, there are people who told me that the webtoon isn’t that deep and that the issues that are featured in this drama has been done numerous of times before. The show is coasting on the talents of the leads.
“ Watching a drama without subtitles or no fluency in the language is not ideal” —I agree! Thanks again for the suggestion :)
For now I only watched the first episode and a part of episode 2 and I just can't get into the main characters…
“ However it is really hard to watch because of course the drama is centered around the two main leads so I think I will just drop it ( I will not make the same mistake like with Monarch King when I thought I would end up to like the two main leads ).” —I absolutely understand! If you don’t like both the leads, it’s really hard to enjoy the show. At least Monarch had other leads in the show besides the main couple lol I’m pushing through because of the actors, but I will most likely drop it after I checked out tomorrow episode. The premise is making me too uncomfortable
“ I just do not love how they make Choi Dae Hyun 100 % as a pusshover” —I agree, I wished he was more assertive.
“ She just seems like an obsessive girl to me who just saw a good looking guy one day and decided he must be hers. I think I would have accepted it if he had done something big for her to move her but he just told her to quit smocking and frankly she is in love with him because of his looks/ first impression of a good boyfriend that is all” —everything you said makes sense to me. Her actions reminds me of something what a second female lead would do with her heavy-handed tactics. Kind of reminds me of Lee Gon falling in love with TE due to an ID photo lol
Like I said, I’m still watching because of the actors but the problematic things are constantly bothering me and making it challenging for me to enjoy this show. I wish I can memory wipe my mind, so that I can rewatch mystic pop-up bar lol
—I agree, he needs to set boundaries especially since he knows that she has feelings for him.
—what makes it “trash” is the romance, emotional affair.
