Abortion theory somehow, strengthened after episode 7. (Just noting)
Abortion ... or miscarriage?

I'd recommend you watch the more recent shows (2013/2014) on drama.net as you'll find them in HD quality there AND you can watch these HD videos on wide screen.
LOL, what do you mean you stepped on your computer? Do you mean it fell? I can't believe you actually dropped it on the floor & stepped on it! :)
One person never causes a marriage to perish. They were both at fault. They both were too immature to realize…
I perceived him crying & calling out for his mother & father by the river as them being dead. The scene is actually quite common in Kdramas & usually it turns out that the parents have indeed passed. Moreover, if he had parents don't you think they'd've shown up by now or there'd be some mention of them? After all family is so important to South Koreans ... sometimes too important to the neglect of independence & individuality.
As for her locking him out & not letting him eat, that's not communication, that's passive aggression. It doesn't necessarily tell him that she's going to get up & leave him high and dry tomorrow. From a woman's perspective maybe her intentions were very clear, but to a man she's just angry and needs time to calm down. Remember when they were watching the football match he told her that she's too emotional ... which is perhaps his general view of her. That she lets her emotions get the better of her. I think it's common for men to underestimate a woman's tolerance threshold & then when the woman walks they experience it as coming straight out of left field, even though all the signs & hints were there from the get go. Happens all the time.
That's why it's always better to spell things out. Tell your spouse exactly what you need from them instead of resorting to hints & passive aggression. Listen, as I've said above, Jung Woo is at fault too. However, where Æ-ra is concerned, what I disagree with is the WAY she handled the situation. It was too callous & full of entitlement, as though money was the only true reason she married him (which of course we know is not the case). But it sure does looks that way from the way she behaved.
One person never causes a marriage to perish. They were both at fault. They both were too immature to realize love isn't enough to sustain a relationship. Having said that I'm siding with the husband. I do understand Æ-ra's bitterness (Jung Woo never should've quit his job without preparing her for the news), but she should have communicated her feelings better. Give him a chance to fix what's broken & if he doesn't budge, give him an ultimatum. Get a job or she'll walk. Rather what she does is quite typical of many women - she takes on responsibilities she'd rather not have & resents her husband for it in the process. He was counting on her to be by his side, instead she kicks him while he's down. I understand why he may feel hurt & angry.
I'm sorry but I'm shipping the mains with the 2nd leads. I'm so sorry. I don't feel chemistry between the main…
Oh god, pls stop talking nonsense.

Hehe Hi there, I would be the mrsLeeSeoJin Pattyrn4 referred to! I do wholeheartedly recommend Lovers if you like mature dramas. It's one of the best kdramas I've seen in terms of NOT being silly & contrived like 99% of what's out there. Definitely give it a go if you like hot gangsters & romance.
I see you like Nine. Me too! OMG, Lee Jin Wook IS SO FINE!!! #ded :)
And fyi, adblocker plus works like a dream on gooddrama.net. You're able to watch all the dramas, commercial free! Only problem you might encounter is that your preferred player might not open in full screen. However, there's always at least 2 players that does.

Hi. I saw on the feeds that you aren't able to find Ugly Alert. While it's not a drama I'd recommend to anyone, I think it's a good idea for people to check it out for themselves. You can find it fully subbed on http://www.darksmurfsub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/7140-ugly-alert-2013/. You'll have to register with the site if you haven't done so already.

Hey, nice to hear from you. No worries about being away. I totally understand. I wish I had the discipline to stay off MDL for a few weeks. I think I'd be a lot more productive! haha Anyway, your experience in Korea only makes me want to go there even more! You sound super busy though, have you had time to watch dramas? And have you moved to Korea (semi) permanently?
I've been fine, stressed out with life as usual, but trying to survive!
Romance should be removed as a genre. This is a family soap opera. Romantic themes facilitate the main theme of family, but remains underdeveloped throughout. Which is fine. This is not a complaint. Just FYI for folks who might start this with inappropriate expectations.
Seo Young frustrated me with her enormous pride & stubbornness, but I liked her a lot. Her faults just made her more human. She was a refreshing change from the innocent, wide-eyed wilting lilies that are normally featured in Kdrama. Though she remained sweet & kind & domestic, I liked that she stayed career orientated. She possessed strength of character and independence. Some things she should've discussed with her husband, but in general I liked that she maintained her autonomy and did not allow other people (elders) to dictate her life from A-Z (those who've seen the show might know what I'm referring to here). So yes, would love to see more heroines like Seo Young in dramaland.
LBY is a decent actress, but I doubt I'll ever fully warm to her. I've decided not to watch any more of her shows. But it's not because I think she has no talent. She's just not an actress that works for me.
Finally, where the characters are concerned, they were fine. The story was okay, but is not my thing. I find desperate housewife type dramas exceedingly unrelatable & I've seen the same story too many times. I like things in moderation. All the desperation, resentment, whining & self - pity are inconvenient. Also many developments were glaringly contrived and silly. I can tolerate a lot, but when things don't make sense the rating will take a hit. I skipped a lot of this drama starting from ep 20. Many boring or draggy story arcs, to the neglect of more interesting ones.

Hmm ... he sounds like the heroine here in MDSY. I understand Seo Young & her issues, but her inability to acknowledge her mistakes to the people she's wronged is starting to grate on my nerves. The more she lets pride rule her actions, the more people she hurt.
Anyway, I had a look at SWAK again and it's perhaps the love triangle that I wanted to avoid. Apparently it's very intense all throughout the drama and I just hate love triangles. Their use is often abused in Asian dramas.
Anyway, you've certainly piqued my curiosity so I might reconsider. I'd love to see a drama Rosie thinks is awesome! :)
Why didn't you like LJK?

Haha I gladly accept the label. I am a fusspot ... which simply means I know what I like! haha Anyway, thx for the rec of Sealed with a Kiss. I've had it rec'ed to me before but something made me pass. What was it? I don't think it was because of a misogynistic male lead ... (which btw doesn't worry me all that much otherwise I wouldn't watch Asians dramas at all. As long as there's no physical abuse or verbal abuse which is exceptionally cruel). Is the male lead worse than Le Jun Kai? You saw that mini drama didn't you?

My dear, Rosie, it would seem like you understand my tastes very well. I'm about 75% into MYDSY -- while there are some developments and story arcs I like, this is not the show for me.
The characters are all fine, I have no significant negative reaction to anyone. For the first time I see LBY in a role that I think suits her personality, as I perceive it, so she's tolerable to me here because she doesn't have to ACT so much. But the plot just seems so contrived ... and recycled. That's the worse part. I feel like I've seen it all before - the pompous jerk of a husband with the love child, the betrayed housewife, the cute/innocent romance blah blah.
Moreover, this is pure family soap opera - a genre that, on its own, is of very little interest to me when there's no romance. At least not when they're hopelessly deadlocked by all the same tired tropes.
So yeah. I took 4 steps forward with Nine & 10 steps backwards with MY DSY.
Re: OD, I'm so pleased you finally got around to enjoying that little gem of a drama! OD holds a very special place in my heart.
Re: my latest film projects ... thx for asking. Business could be better, but we're keeping busy. We just won a big account the other day & on the fiction film production side we have 1 film in production, one's with the funders & another is in development. So busy times. What about your life? What you been up? Do you work? I see you're planning a meet - up in London. I might come! :) I truly miss living in London...
I'm liking him in MYDSY. He has a nice presence, though his acting isn't always the best. And the man sure does fill out a suit, in the best of ways. Somebody should change his pic here though. The current one isn't doing him justice!
Anyway, boya? No recap?
