My top vote would have to go to the Under the Power couple though. I felt so much chemistry there!~
In episode 20 after Zhao leaves because he’s going to “die”, it jumps from Mo Yan being sick for half a month and her brother explaining that Zhao already died. How did Mo Yan get off the mountain? How did Six Jin find Mo Yan to bring her to Shuzhong? How did Mo Yan get sick? The abruptness in the scene change made it hard for me to even feel upset over Zhao potentially being dead.
I’m also disappointed we never got to see all the six evils of Shuzhong or Shuzhong itself.
Lastly, I’ll never forget the deaths of Wei Wei and 5th brother. If they killed off the princess too that would’ve been the last straw for me lol
I think the romance could’ve been executed better. I’m not sure if it was a script or chemistry issue but the scenes between the two leads just didn’t feel like enough. There are definitely some cute scenes that make you smile but they are a few and far between, so I don’t think this would be my pick for a satisfying romance. I think that this later contributed to my interest majorly being on the sixth brother and the princess’s relationship over the main couple.
Other than that, I feel I can rate this drama a 7/10. I did enjoy most of the scenes and I didn’t feel bored or as if there were too many episodes. This was a good watch but it could’ve been way better. The last 20 minutes of the final episode was a very satisfying end though! I’ll give this drama that.
I’m curious, which drama was that?
The hardest part is waiting a week for the next ep.
Also, I felt the ending was bittersweet because I don't know how to feel about Xiyun/Fengxi giving up her position as the lady. She's the only one of her family left, so if she leaves, it's kind of like her family's legacy is gone. But on the other end of things, I could understand her wanting to spend the days she has left with Lanxi. Furthermore, we knew since the beginning of the drama that all she wanted was a carefree life doing what she wanted, so the ending was very fitting in that sense!
I loved the main actors, this is the first Zhao Lu Si drama that I really enjoyed with her as a lead (I haven’t seen many dramas with her as a lead yet, this drama would make the 3rd). Her character was also my favorite of the entire drama. I loved that she had this overwhelming passion for helping people and it never changed throughout the drama. It was also refreshing to see the many emotions that Yang Yang can show, because compared to his performance in Love o2o, this was much better.
I don’t have much complaints about the romance either because I’m happy they didn’t have any serious misunderstandings, breakups or angst that would keep them apart for multiple episodes. I also felt that the main actors have sizzling chemistry. In any other period drama they would’ve separated the main couple for the last 10 episodes and then on the final episode 10 they would’ve brought them back together within the last 10 minutes. I love that this drama did NOT do that.
I have mixed feelings about the ending (which I'll include in a spoiler note below).
It is bittersweet but I think it's very fitting.
Despite this, I enjoyed the main characters and meeting all these actors that I'd never seen before in my dramas.

Check it out! It should definitely answer that question :)
Also, I'm curious.. is the ML's voice dubbed? It really doesn't look like his speaking matches with the voice at all. (I know usually in C-dramas, majority of the cast is dubbed but I've never noticed a dubbed voice this much in a drama before).
Unfortunately, I’m on episode 26 and I’m finding myself skipping around alot because I’m losing interest. The second couple is pretty frustrating and their path to romance is too slow without enough reason for it. Lastly, The third couple doesn’t interest me in the slightest.
The leads are cute, Mi Ka’s smile is gorgeous and Kei Lei looks so good in his uniform, but there doesn’t feel like enough plot to keep my interest. Also, I sincerely wanted better for Mi Ka’s wardrobe.
I haven’t finished this drama yet but I do feel like the current rating for it is very generous. I can see myself rating this a 7 or 7.5 after finishing.
It seems like it's a trend in dramas for the last couple of episodes to be tumultuous until the very last one or the last couple minutes of the last episode.
I’m also not crazy about the cases happening behind the scenes. They don’t interest me as much as I thought they’d would.
Despite all of that though, this is my first time seeing the leads in a drama and I really like
their acting. Their chemistry is even more explosive. I hope this drama will end good.
