Totally!!! I wonder if they even have the energy to fight all those fight scenes too. I would much prefer ML to be fit to match the role rather than scrawny. There are some ML out there that are sooo skinny, even more than the actress. Ding was super skinny in that cat drama that just ended too so I’m so glad he looks much more fit in this drama.

I love this drama so far. I love the mystery crime solving mixed with a little bit of romance. I think if only there were better subtitles, the audience could have a better understanding of all the episodes so far. For now, we are relying on bad subtitles and body languages to get by.

Anyone notice that Ding has a bit more meat on his face? I love love that!!!! I though he was too skinny in his other dramas. Here, his facial features are soften and his body is better fitted for that armor suit. I hope he keeps this weight because I love seeing his dimple when he smiles.

FL, for her age, she is doing very well with her acting. I was skeptical at first of her age but she is a solid pairing with Ding. Plus, she is soooo beautiful too so that’s a definite plus. Ding always look so much younger than his age so this pairing is really good.

For anyone having second thoughts about watching, give it a try.

Loving this drama so far but one thing I’m curious about is, why isn’t anyone looking for the real Nie Sanyu? We are almost half way through and there aren’t any news or clips about her….is she alive? Will she appear later on? It’s seems ML isn’t even at all bother to look for his wife now that he has Jiman in her place. I know she’s cruel and all but I also think she deserves her story to be told too.

While everyone is trying to figure out naksu, I wonder when and how they will reveal that Uk is a prince.

I think Uk will start to become suspicious of BY as she starts to recover her memories and start acting like MD. The way she talks and eat the honey biscuit might trigger his curiosity. I mean, we know BY is the long lost daughter discovered 3 years ago, Master Lee was gone for 3 years. Uk is smart, he will figure out something is fishy and of course Master Lee will talk in riddles….then Uk will figure out the truth. I think he needs to find out the truth before Jin Mu does or else BY will be in harm’s way.

Also, they have 21 days to produce a witness. Lol

Right, but I don’t think she can open it yet so he might brush it off as her having flash back memories of the sword owner’s. I think she has to open it for him to believe it.

In episode 4, BY thinks she is recalling memories of the owner of the blue jade, MD. Uk is keeping her with the idea that she might help uncover answers to questions he still have for MD. I wonder if they will explore the idea of him falling for her because she holds memories of MD without knowing that she is the same person.

I feel the same way too….I think he kissed her because he was too emotional and missed MD so much that when he saw BY, he thinks it’s MD. It is her but he doesn’t know it, but there is enough similarities for him to reach out to her despite him being alone all these years. What a sad situation for him….crying and yearning for his lost love and trying very hard to not fall in love again.

Today’s episode was so sad for Uk. Sad in that he’s struggling to hang on to her memories and didn’t get to see her the final time. He has yet to fully let her go because he didn’t see her die so to him so there is still a glimmer of hope that her soul is somewhere out there. Then to have others playing around with her names and getting him involved, it was just too much for him. Because he loved her, yet he has to be the one to catch her if she ever comes back. He’s starting to slowly come to term with letting her go and finally went to her resting place to see for himself that she is truly gone was so sad.

I think he senses something is off with BY, he’s being drawn to her but also is staying loyal to his love for MD. I’m sure we will be getting hints and similarities between MD and BY drop here and there for him to piece it one by one that they are the same. I just hope Master Lee would just tell him the truth so we can get on with it and focus on the rest of the story. There is still so much left to resolve.

I was hoping they would pair her off with Seo Yul since he needed a love interest and I didn’t want that fake girl to be it. But the way she’s written in part 2, doesn’t look like that’s the plan. Would have been nice, the physician helping him treat his illness and they fell in love.

I like the legal side too. I meant the FL need to start transitioning over to take over as legal wife once YY leaves. It seems FL is too focus on the issues at hand.

I actually enjoyed the first half of drama because I felt they both have enough chemistry to pull it off. Then once they broke up, it’s like the storyline took a different direction. I too felt like the ending wasn’t as great as I was expecting. The whole jumping into the water to save FL and then their confession afterward was abrupt and seems out of place because just prior to that, FL lead was avoiding any romance with ML at all cost. She kept him at a distance and hinted that she was no longer interested but now all of the sudden is interested because of a voice recording???? Ok…..

Then we have a speed up on them trying to get married, she leaving abruptly for her career, coming back, everything was rushed rushed for the viewers. I think this drama spent more time focusing on separately them rather than putting them together. And like you said, I didn’t feel anymore chemistry from the two leads in the end. Everything was felt like let’s just get this over with kind of thing. Both of them are good actors, the storyline towards the end just wasn’t done well. Plus, with all the build up to Zhao, I was expecting a more satisfying ending to him but all he got was a pen fight.

Just my opinion. Others might have enjoyed it more.

Yeah she was his picked for the ladies but she decided she wanted the Crown Prince so that’s why she snuck out to get his attention.

I think the king is smarter than he appears. Before, YZ put up an image of a weak and naive Prince so he wasn’t under the King’s radar but now he is. Often times, the King has commented that he is more capable than the Crown Prince. But remember in ancient China time, even brothers will fight for the throne. Maybe he’s trying to trap Crown Prince so YZ can succeed him? I don’t know….but I’m sure as a father, he’s not blind to what’s happening among his sons. At the same time, he cannot allow a concubine’s son to be crown Prince when he already has a “legitimate son”. It’s the rules of the court so somehow sometimes they have to figure out a way to overthrown the Crown Prince without causing a riot.

The other thing I am thinking is that the King has to do what he does to maintain order since it has always been the norm for their region. But so far the King has been allowing YZ to do a lot of things by himself but he does have to put his foot down when things get out of hand because he is the king and he has to show there are rules and orders to go by. Maybe the King has his own agenda.

Maybe the king has his own agenda. By casting ML away, then it puts him off the radar of Crown Prince so he can go undercover and do more work? So far we have seen that the King only favors the Crown Prince in front of everyone but has been supporting ML secretly.

I know, when I saw the preview I was like OMG. Like I get it, he’s a total jerk and deserves it but dang….there will be consequences for sure bc he’s the Crown Prince. Let’s see how this play out tomorrow.

As I recall in the earlier episodes, LW told YZ that until YY is out of the picture, there will be no development in their relationship. Which is probably why we haven’t seen much development in their romance.
