I think he was just exaggerating so that people don’t pay attention to him. He knows that his parents don’t care for him and so he’s trying to climb up the political game by being discrete.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But we have to also think that the Prince was under the care of the palace and now he has a mansion/household to manage. Typically the wife helps him manage household but since FL is inexperience then she has to be trained. I think the point of the New wife taking over was more meant to be like a comedy and over exaggeration since her personality is suppose to be sophisticated and regal, very businesslike so that’s why she conducted everything in a business like nature. But if you watched the latest episodes, she starting to soften a bit as FL starts to show more competence. If you think about it, New Wife and Prince are just commodities for the two nations. Their happiness and freedom are something they didn’t have growing up…something they are both teaming up together to achieve.

Her goal is to raise his status so that he has enough power and will grant her a divorce. His mansion is in disarray because there is nobody to help manage it. In the political game, there are images to uphold and rules to follow and unfortunately, FL doesn’t know how to properly do it. New Wife is the best person right now to help the three of them get what they want: Prince to get promoted, her to get her freedom of a divorce, and FL to get legal wife status. All this can only be obtained once Prince gets back into the court and have enough power. She’s not here to play with them, she’s here to make sure everything is going well so she can get in and out asap.

This drama is such a breath of fresh air!!! I love the pace and the comedy. I love the sisterhood and the brotherhood so far too. And can we just say, thank goodness for ML’s butler…spilling the beans to FL about ML’s feelings. He’s like one of us…watching them go at it and is like “come on girl, how can you not know!” Lol. I’m so happy that now they know they have mutual feelings for each other. I hope the good feelings of this drama continues on to episode 40 without too much dark moments. It’s so refreshing to watch this drama.

The high school part was because they were all best friends and those two just took off without telling her anything. If your best friend left without telling you, you would be sad too…for her, it’s more sad. Yeah, he’s clueless…I hope his character gets better. So far the previews are picking up the pace a little on his character so hopefully he redeem himself. I’m glad he told SFL that he only loves FL, I just wish he would say these kind of things to FL directly too instead of pushing her away.

I agree….she needs to stand firm or he’s just going to think he can make and break her heart anytime. But I’m glad he told SFL at the funeral that he only loves FL. Hopefully that is enough to stop her from meddling in his business.

I think it’s the issue with how the ML lead treats FL. First he left her in high school with a broken heart, came back and stole it again, and then broke it again, not taking into account that she has been his constant source of support and happiness all those years growing up. He hides things from her, doesn’t offer any explanations why he does certain things until she is already very upset. He makes plans with her but he backs out yet he drops whatever he’s doing and run to the aide of the SFL. Yes, his family is important too but since growing up, she has become a part of him, she was his family growing up. If he can’t handle her, he shouldn’t have come back and mingle with her heart.

But again, like someone commented below, this is a love drama so we will see all side of the story whether we want to agree with it or not.

Right, at this point I’m pretty annoyed with ML. I want them to break up now because I think FL deserves so much better than being second in his priorities. He’s always putting that SFL first, if he can’t handle setting her aside then he doesn’t deserve FL. Like she said, she’s been chasing him all these years while he’s been chasing SFL. It’s time the table turn and let him take a turn chasing after her. If he doesn’t, it’s not worth it for her. I don’t care if he has family business responsibilities, FL was willing to stay for him but it’s him not being able to distance himself from SFL that I’m like, that’s it girl, you need to pack and move on.

So far I feel like we might be getting a surprised. We know that nothing really happened much oversea between ML and SFL and he thought about FL most of the time while he was away. Maybe he has always been in love with her but has an obligation to take care of SFL until she’s better, plus he probably was sent oversea to learn the family business. Cause so far, it seems like he’s not really moved by SFL’s presence and he’s so busy with the family business, he seems clueless that SFL was feeding FL all these lies. He has already told FL multiple times that he finally got her and he’s not going to let her go this time, he’s going to give her all his love. So for me, at this point in the episode, he’s just the clueless boyfriend 😂

My take so far up to episode 14 are these:

1. FL has very bad insecurities about her relationship with ML because she has trust issues. She would rather trust the words of SFL over ML.

2. ML is clueless why FL is feeling so insecure, maybe for him, there really wasn’t anything other than a crush for SFL so he probably doesn’t have any lingering feelings for her. It’s like when you used to like someone and then later find out about their true self and you’re like turn off.

3. SFL has bad insecurities about herself and honestly, I feel like she’s not a true best friend to ML and FL. True best friends share all their good and bad, instead they left FL without any explanation and when they return, they expected to resume their friendships and expect FL to be there for them as if nothing has happened while they were away.

Right now I’m not exactly liking how they are portraying the FL. She’s suppose to be confident yet she looks like she’s moody all the time and upset with ML when he himself has been setting up boundaries with SFL. I was expecting a confident FL who is like “whatever, I’m strong and I won’t let her get me down”. Instead, she’s letting SFL walk all over her and then she gets upset at ML. Hopefully she realize there is much more to life than loving ML.

So far, I’m enjoying this drama a lot. I hope we get some character developments for all three instead of a love triangle with backstabbing and miscommunications.

I think SFL wants attention and she only kept him around because she needed someone to rely on. I just hope FL doesn’t become the thing that ML and SFL pushes around while they sort out their own relationship and feelings. Seems like SFL is going to fall for ML now that he’s no longer available for her. I just hope ML doesn’t fall for her trap and leave FL hanging. One of my biggest pet peeve of dramas is when one of the lead leave the other to “comfort” the second lead, leading to a bunch of hurt feelings and misunderstandings for the rest of the drama.

I’m hoping we get more development on his character and why he choose to entangle himself with SFL so much. And I hope FL becomes stronger and move on with her life even if she doesn’t have ML anymore around. I hope it’s not one of those drama where they broke up and then he dates SFL and then come back to FL in the end.

I’m loving the drama so far but I hope they don’t drag the live triangle out too long cause they got together so soon in the drama that I hope the rest of the drama isn’t about SFL coming in between them and then we get like one episode in the end of a rushed reconciliation.

So far we don’t know much about ML’s true feelings toward FL. Per the trailer and hints at the beginning, we know that while he was oversea, the person he thinks about often was FL. So what happened to him while he was oversea? I feel like his getting together with FL was a little lackluster actually. We didn’t get to see much development on how and when did he started to fall for her. It just kind of happened because he knew she loved him and since she was his constant source of happiness and security…he just decided to be with her? And also, I didn’t like that FL just accepted him as her BF so fast without questioning his feelings for her when she knew he was chasing after the other lady all these years. Its like she is in this happy bubble and she doesn’t want to listen or think about anything that might otherwise burst her bubble. Her character started out strong but now it seems she’s having insecurities….I hope we see her pick up and move on with or without him.

I think a few people are having a hard time understanding why 2022 ML has to died while 2021 ML is alive. The storyline has hinted that in order for everyone to be saved, either FL or ML is going to have to go. It doesn’t make sense for FL to be it, we have watched them tried to save her multiple times. The only logical person was the ML and it makes sense that it’s 2022 ML because he couldn’t be with FL since she’s from 2021. Now, some are sad over it but just think…..he’s still alive. Think of it as his future self came back to save him so that he and FL can have a future together. If you think of it from 2022 version then you will be sad but if you think of it from 2021 version then you will be happy because our ML and FL will get to be together and grow together. Yeah, it’s kind of weird that she fell in love with his future self but he still retains his memories and as they get closer and closer to the year 2022 is when she’s starting to get more comfortable of the idea that it’s really him coming back to her. This is the best ending, all characters are saved. He is still alive and they will be getting marry.

This drama was refreshing and didn’t take after the typical time traveling plotline of waking up from a novel, game, etc.

The storyline was good, I enjoyed every episodes although the second lead’s love storyline was getting annoying and I wasn’t feeling their chemistry from the SFL.

The FL, she’s pretty young compare to the ML but she was able to hold on her own, her acting was pretty good and her crying scenes were realistic. I have watched some dramas were younger actresses come of being too cutesy and such but she’s not.

The only one thing I didn’t like was the FL running away from their relationship multiple times. Like common on, there’s not enough time left to be together, stop with the cat and mouse chase.

Overall, the ending was good. I loved the ending actually…it was the best way to end it. She got the best of both worlds, she was still able to be with him regardless. He still has memories of 2021 and 2022 with her. The FL has every rights to mourn 2022 ML, she was in love with him so it’s an adjustment to see his 2021 version in front of her yet she can’t hold on to him the same way. I’m glad she was able to overcome that he’s still the same person, just 4 months behind.

I hope we get more of this kind of time traveling dramas that ends as it should as a fantasy drama instead of some lame ending like how most have.

I agree with you. What people are forgetting is that this drama is about WY so we aren’t going to get the heavy hugging, crying, kissing scenes we are used to getting from other dramas. Everything about her is simple and to the point. Her falling in love was simple, her break up was simple, and her make up was simple. Same thing with her interactions with other characters. That is how I viewed this drama so I’m satisfied with how it ended.

She’s beautiful!!! She can be an adorable autistic lawyer or a handsome King. She change her facial expressions to be her character. She’s not one to look like a model face in all her dramas. That’s what acting is all about. I hope she wins the Baeksang award this time.

For season 2, I want the whole gang to quit that law firm and go start their own with a work-life balance schedule so they can solve meaningful cases.

I would not be happy if they introduce a love rival to the story. It’s already enough trying to convince her to be with him, throwing a love triangle at them is just messy work. I want more cases but not the ones that drag beyond one episode long. Also, I want to see her as a bride in season 2, we already saw that she herself doesn’t think she is marriage material and her dad worries if she will find someone who can love and take care of her enough to marry her. We want to see her happily married and see her dad move on with his life too. That was what I was hoping for the ending of season 1 but it didn’t happen so I want to see it for season 2.
