Feeling stupid for not loving this movie. Like I get it and I understand what Park Chanwook was going for. I enjoyed…
honestly i feel a similar way. It wasn't bad, and i got it, but i feel nothing for it lol. It seemed to lack something that i can't quite put my finger on
I think a better way to justify the age gap is to instead say that she's magically destined to be with him, and…
I'd say a part of the reason she's 17, rather than having an older character, is because an audience of teenagers probably want to be able to imagine themselves in her shoes. I remember being 15,16,17.. at those sorta ages, I really wanted to have some mystical destiny, and be the main character of a supernatural/magical story. The idea of going from a normal school student to being a part of a hidden magical world, or in on the secret that magic exists, always fascinated me at those ages. It's why the main characters in stories like Sailor Moon, Twilight, The Vampire Diaries, etc, etc, are teenagers; because a teenage audience wants to imagine themselves being a part of a magical secret.
A combination of that with the fact that they probably had Gong Yoo picked for this role from very early on, is probably why we ended up with the age gap as it is.
Just because Kim Shin is from the Goryeo dynasty, doesn't mean liking younger people like that is ok. The story is set in 2016. It's not the Goryeo dynasty anymore. We can absolutely judge him by modern standards. He's living in the modern era. Maybe if we're looking at figures who lived and died in the Goryeo dynasty then we can judge them with their own time's moral standards, but this is a character who has lived until the modern era, who is having the romance in the modern era with a modern girl, therefore modern standards can be applied.
At the end of the day, it's just a drama and i don't actually care about the age gap because i watched it as a teenager and enjoyed it then.
If you're someone like me who already really liked the original Kisaragi Station story, I'd advise you try not to compare the story and this film too much. The film doesn't follow Hasumi's story, although it contains many similar details.
However, where the urban legend was spooky because of the eerie loneliness, isolation, and mystery, the film mostly gets its spooks from monster-y horror. At times, it is good at spooking you, but at other times, it feels like a cheap bastardisation of the original story. It's a decent spooky film, although maybe a bit lower-budget.
are you kidding me how is this spoiling other kdrama this is one of the most popular and best kdrama i‘ve watched.not…
I think they're saying that if you watch it, any dramas you watch afterwards will seem so boring/bad because Goblin is so good that nothing can compare.
To those of you who have problems with the age difference between the main leads, think of it this way: the ML…
I think a better way to justify the age gap is to instead say that she's magically destined to be with him, and aside from some kiss scenes, they don't get up to anything overly weird when she's young. Additionally, she was portrayed by an actress who was in her 20's, if that helps. The age gap here isn't exactly appropriate in real life, but it is very tame in this drama.
I think your way of justifying it only made it seem worse and creepier
The whole "look how incompetent they police are, they even threw a cocked gun to a downed serial killer" scene…
Honestly i agree that i'd rather he survive in the end, but I still would've preferred a standard death ending to a lazy amnesia one lolol. If the character has forgotten everything they did during the story, then the story almost becomes pointless because we've followed them on this whole journey just to get zero payoff.
Does anyone have an idea of how long the gap would be between the release date and the time it is available online with Eng subs? A few weeks or a few months? I've never been so hyped for a film that hasn't been released like this lol
I'm up to date with the webtoon in English, but I don't want to start watching until I've finished the webtoon but there's over a year left until it's completed in English wahhhhh :(

happy enough ending. I'd call it a hopeful ending.
He does not die in the end
I watched this film two years ago.
A year after watching, I was admitted into the number 1 university in the country.
if you study hard, you will be rewarded with so much. Keep at it!!
Anyway, what a wonderful show it was. I had a lot of fun each week when new episodes aired
