I have a technical question. I tried to watch the first episode, but something seemed off with the aspect ratio.…
Yes it's supposed to look that way. It's a stylistic choice to replicate the look of old tv shows from back then. It's a bit strange at first but you get used to it.
I watched both seasons years ago and guess I ended up liking season 2 as well, but I just finished watching season…
You've hit the nail right on the head.
It's season 2. The main couple are already together, so there doesn't need to be any of these "competitors" trying to get together with either of the leads. Nao has already "won" by getting together with Uehara in season 1, so why does she need to have competition? She's his girlfriend ffs.
This could have been a nice season of their relationship actually developing. It could have focused on Nao growing up and going through college, and Uehara opening up more and maybe building more friendships, and maybe working through what happened in his childhood or something.
The episodes i watched of season 2 all just felt like the writers were regurgitating the same old formula from season 1, when it didn't need to be like that. They're ALREADY TOGETHER, why do they need to have competitors???
Honestly it reminds me a lot of Mischievous Kiss for the same reasons. Season 2 had a lot of re-using the things that had worked in season 1, but at least that season 2 was still good and watchable. I still have never gotten past episode 5 of good morning call season 2 :o

Yeah no. I don't want all that shit becoming legal in my country. Adults choosing to buy illegal substances and funding organised crime groups and then blaming the government is fucking laughable. It doesn't need to be legalised. People need to cop on to the fact that their high is funding human trafficking, arms smuggling, and more nasty shit. It's not the government's fault if you can't control yourself

you have to take into account that in countries where these substances are illegal, then the only way to obtain them is by funding organised crime groups. It's never as innocent as just someone smoking a joint... it's someone giving money to criminal gangs, who generally operate in various illegal areas such as smuggling firearms and human trafficking. I live in a small country with both drug problems and organised crime problems. I hear stories of crime groups destroying the lives of many people. I'm sick of people acting like them buying illegal substances isn't contributing to this when they're literally handing money to these gangs to get their drugs.
No competent writer would include a psychopathic male lead who manipulates his victim into a relationship, in…
honestly i found that plot twist to be so dark and wild for such a light themed show, that it just made it ten times better because i couldnt believe they'd throw something so messed up in there. it increased the entertainment value because it was just so crazy
There is literally zero plot in this season. It's just "stuff happening". Like, every scene will start and you're having to do mental gymnastics to figure why it's even happening. The storyline is way less coherent than season 1. It's like the type of story you'd write just for yourself as a hobby, and not a story made for others to read and actually understand.
This season has taught me to really appreciate when the creators of a show have excellent skills in telling a complete and coherent story. This season is just "scene and then scene and then scene"... there is less flow
Please, please, you have to watch season 1 first. Season 1 is the proper version of the storyline. It has a coherent…
honestly i have no idea. My guess is that they wanted to re-do the story so that Ling Yizhou didn't trick Xia Lin into believing she had Leukaemia because that's such a messed up thing to just brush aside.
it really didn't need a season 2, or if they were gonna make a second season, it should've just continued on and showed us their married life n stuff, and show how Jia Fei and Wen Li are doing, and everyone else. We didn't need this weird alternate universe season
Please, please, you have to watch season 1 first. Season 1 is the proper version of the storyline. It has a coherent plot, and the characters are more complete. Season 2 is moreso just scenes and moments, with less actual plot happening. Also season 2 references season 1 at times. If you watch season 1 first, you'll be able to just chill and watch season 2, but if you watch season 2 first, i think you'd be more confused and not really know what's going on.
I think a better way to justify the age gap is to instead say that she's magically destined to be with him, and…
she was 19 in Korean age, but in international age she was 17. She was still a minor and she was a secondary school student. If the relationship was in real life, it wouldn't be appropriate for an older man to be in a relationship with a school student.
However, if you actually read my comments, you'd see that i actually don't have much of a problem with this drama and the age gap as it's shown. It's a fictional story, and the relationship is extremely tame and no actual romance happens until she's an adult, and even then the romance is tame. My original comment was actually defending the drama's age gap, by saying that the supernatural "destined to be together" aspect makes it less weird, and the fact that these type of stories are aimed at younger people who want to connect with the main character and imagine themselves in that scenario.
Dunno why you're so riled up defending age gaps. Relationships should be equal, so age gaps aren't good when one person is very young. If it's two legal adults involved then i don't care much, they can do what they want, but i don't see why you'd be so invested in defending age gaps that you'd call people retarded over it lmao. Get over yourself
The main downside I'm feeling with this season is the fact that Xia Lin and Chu Yan already knew eachother from the beginning, and they already get along ok. For me, the absolute HIGHLIGHT of season 1 was the love/hate bickering relationship between Chu Yan and Xia Lin that grew from full-on just not liking eachother at all, to being close friends who look out for one another and actually care for eachother, but still bickering from time to time. The bickering was so funny, i miss it. Seqason 2 has made Chu Yan so bland in comparison to season 1 when he was the best character
I loved this so much. The main couple's romance had some really good moments in there. Side couple could've had…
Ok but what on earth was that twist with Ling Yizhou having stalked her and then tricked her into thinking she had Leukemia and basically forcing her to marry him??? It was an interesting twist, and i enjoyed the surprise that such a perfect guy had a secret like that... but WHAT. it was so unexpected and bizarre that i enjoyed it, although, it was strange that after it was "resolved", they never really spoke of it again. Also it's strange that Chu Yan never found out that their marriage was created by that contract, or about Ling Yizhou stalking Xia Lin. I think it would've been good for such a central character to know about those things.
And finally, that relationship between Chu Yan and what's her name was so forced it was so boring. I guess they needed a way to wrap up Chu Yan's story after he'd liked Xia Lin, but basically making up a new character solely to be his love interest just felt too forced, like they needed to write Chu Yan out of the main plot. If his love interest had been in the show for longer then it'd have worked better but she only appeared a couple times in the later half of the story.
I loved this so much. The main couple's romance had some really good moments in there. Side couple could've had a bit more time but oh well. Chu Yan was absolutely the best character. His love/hate bickering relationship with Xia Lin was so enjoyable to watch. I really really enjoyed this show
Such an odd show in the way that the villains are getting a lot more character development than the leads, who…
i'm guessing a lot of their development was probably lost when they edited out some scenes with Hyeon-Ju in them. I guess they were supposed to all develop together but then it was changed because of her wrongdoing
good way to describe it is that it's interesting, a decent watch, but nothing to write home about. Somewhat wastes a unique concept and finishes off to be very forgettable
How’s the bromance in this? In the mood for something homoerotic
bahaha it won't match that type of theme, but it's a good show for people who like seeing guys become close friends really fast without much hostility between them at the beginning. It's nice seeing them very quickly become friends and look out for each other and fight together.
Such a masterpiece. Absolutely adores the duo of Gunwoo and Woojin. I love when characters are fast friends. Absolutely loved the different characters they teamed up with throughout.
Hyeon-Ju being written out of the story was just annoying. For episode 7 it was ok because i assumed she had left and would return soon. it seemed ok then. but then the show ends and she still hasn't returned.
Drunk driving is incredibly wrong, and DESTROYS lives and kills people, so she deserves to be punished under the law if she has been caught for it- HOWEVER, when a drama has already been made, they might as well just keep her character in the story and complete it as it was supposed to go, rather than rushing to rewrite the ending in order to scrub her from the show. I don't CARE if a drunk driver is in a show if they were casted & all before the drunk driving incident. I just want the drama to be well made. I have no problem if she doesnt get cast in other dramas after, but it makes zero sense to remove her from a show that she's already in. it's just annoying. i think removing her from the show only damaged it more than if she had just been left in and the studio said "we won't work with her again, but the incident occurred after we'd already made most of the show so we can't do anything".
anyway she's young so i hope she learns from her mistake & never repeats it. it's a shame that the show that many people worked on had to suffer because of one person.
Cute and enjoyable for sure. Really liked the past life stuff. While it did lack that certain kinda punch that makes a drama really outstanding, it still delivered a really nice watching experience. A nice, unique setup for a romance story.
Overall, a decent watch. But one thing do bug me most, something I tried to ignore while watching the drama and…
i think a part of her attachment to him from back then was coming from the fact that she knew him as Han-Ya in her 1st life, even though she didn't realise it. Also i guess she was just very grateful to him for helping her to have fun enjoying being young without thinking about her many past lives. it was a bit odd though
