i don't how this drama managed to get a rating of 8 and above
It's big and flashy, has an interesting modern monarchy setting, and has intriguing fantasy elements. The story doesn't bring much to the table, but those other elements manage to bump up the ratings, I'd say.
does it have a happy ending? does Oh Sunny and Lee Hyuk end up tg?
They don't end up together, although their relationship does get a little bit better later on as Lee Hyuk starts to like Sunny, so he isn't as awful as he was before
I watched this a couple months after it came out, in order to learn who was who in Golden Child and I remember learning Joochan as "the guy with the heelies" and Jangjun as "the shirtless dude" and now 3+ years later, still a Goldenness, I find it so funny to look back on my first impressions of everyone.
This was such a good watch!! Actually really liked the main couple and second leads. FL was especially likeable, which was so refreshing. It is the absolute PERFECT length, at 10 episodes. Such an enjoyable drama.
where can i watch thissss in Indonesia, i want to rewatch so badd
You can watch it for free on Viki. I just logged in with an Indonesian vpn and it still worked so i think it's available in Indonesia too. i believe the full show is on youtube (some playlists dont have all the episodes, but you can find them by searching for that episode number). If neither of those work, try Dramacool
Is it draggy or doesnt have much plot?Bromance or romance?
I wouldn't call this one a romance, but even so, sometimes i get sick of seeing romance in dramas, so I'd skip this one if I didn't want romance in a drama.
How can this be rated so high with that shit ending
I think having a tragic ending is more fitting for a drama based on a true event from history like this. It hurts, but it helps us feel a very small amount of the grief that victims' families would have felt at the time. It would have been nice to see a bit more about where everyone ended up afterwards though.
Is it draggy or doesnt have much plot?Bromance or romance?
It has plenty of plot. May drag a little around episode 10/11 kinda point, but that may just be for me. It picks up and becomes interesting soon after that as the mystery comes together more. There is both bromance and romance. Some bromance between main character and the prosecutor who became his older brother figure, and then a romance between main guy and main girl. Although the romance is not the focus of the show, they still have their nice moments.
When they revealed in the finale that the kidnapper Kang Geun-Taek received his name from Kang Eun-Joo... that was so hardhitting, I wish they had explored that further.
As far as I'm aware, the controversy was found to be based on lies, just so you know
From what I've heard, he did not force her to do it, as she originally claimed. Apparently it was a decision they both made and agreed with, and he cared for her after the procedure. There are updates you can find online by searching about it, I'm only summarising from memory/
Looking forward to seeing him onscreen again. I had liked him in Two Cops and was happy to hear him rising to fame two years or so ago. I only got around to watching Start Up and Hometown Cha Cha Cha recently, but I really enjoyed him in his roles. It's a shame that controversies get stirred up so often for actors when they hit a boost in fame and progression in their career. Anyway, I will for sure watch his upcoming film when it reaches me with subtitles. Glad to see that he hasn't been stopped by this mess.
YOOO I love this webtoon!!! It'll be interesting to see how the drama adaptation will go. I'm still not sure whether I want my webtoons to be turned into dramas... because i already just enjoy them as they are, but i have high hopes for this, regardless.
