I watched this months ago but I still can't get over how they did my man Huang Jun so dirty. He loved TaoTao so much, he really didn't intentionally hurt her. He was just too oblivious to see that whats her name was trying to get between them.
When he shows up at the wedding and watches from the doorway, I nearly cried :(
If they were planning this ending from the start, they should've shown us more interactions between TaoTao and BaoBao to justify that they were getting married. I feel like they just wanted to bank on the excitement of the audience being surprised that BaoBao had returned. I just felt that there was no clear reason for why they got married
Does anyone know any similar films that involve piecing together the life of another person, like how Kanako's father has to piece together the life and personality of Kanako in order to investigate her disappearance?
This was one of the GMMTV 2022 series i had been really excited for. The original trailer got me so hyped. The trailer led me to discover the band Only Monday, whose song is the opening theme song. Over a year later, they are still my favourite band!!!
I only had time to watch this series now, and i watched it all in one day from start to finish. I am absolutely obsessed with Mond's performance as Sun. He did such a brilliant job. I switched from watching him in some Baddy 3 Friends videos this morning, to watching him in Midnight Motel, and the sudden contrast was very shocking hahah. He's honestly so good, I really REALLY need to see him in more roles like this. He better feature in many GMMTV 2024 projects!
I should also mention the other two haha. Jan did really well in this, she's probably my favourite Thai actress. I'd love to see her in more darker shows, because she really did well in this one. Off as Mote was a really likeable main character, although I feel like the writers didn't fully succeed in making us root for him. Kat and Sun both had their backstories which made them easier to care about, while Mote just had one scene about his mother's death, and not much more. However, he still managed to be a fun and likeable main lead.
I waited over a year for this one, and i certainly wasn't disappointed. I actually really like the length. 6 episodes was a very good choice for a story like this.
to finish off, i will say: PLEASE GIVE MOND MORE MAIN ROLES LIKE THIS!!!!!! HE IS SO GOOD!!!!
not my fav park chanwook film and felt like something was missing but it was still pretty good. a bit boringat…
You're right, it really did feel like it was missing something, but i still cant quite figure out what that is.... It had the nice cinematography, the beautiful soundtrack, but the whole time i felt that i was looking for something...more? Maybe it was just too long a film? I feel like after the main guy moved back to be with his wife, the story started to drag on a bit...
I'm enjoying this a lot so far. I originally added it to my list because I found Kim Jong-Min really funny in Busted. Now I'm watching it and I really like the cast. Kang Ho-Dong and Kim Dong-Hyun are both very funny. I like P.O. as the maknae of the group too. All in all, they're a really good cast.
Finally, I am watching it! Production-wise, it's surprisingly good and the guys are funny.
I love that you waited 2 years lmao. It's like the disappointment of this not being a drama took you 2 years to recover from, before you could watch it. Honestly it's been in my list for about a year or so, so i will start it now hehe
I can handle dramas with sad endings. I actually love when a drama ends dramatically with a main character's death or something shocking. It makes it more memorable.
What I dont like, is a drama with a stupid, pointless, lazy, sloppy ending. And this drama is one of them, for me. So... after 15 episodes, where we follow Do Hyeon-Su, watching him grow from a psycho fraud who fakes his entire life, to a man who actually cares for his family and wants to fix everything.... only for him to completely forget EVERYTHING we watched him go through?? Effectively making all of those 15 episodes completely pointless. For him, they never happened. We don't even get to see OUR Hyeon-Su experiencing anything after the conflict has been solved, because he's taken from us just as everything ends. Instead, we are left with this boring shell of a man, with no recollection of the events that we have followed him throughout.
So now, we are left seeing Jiwon choosing to restart her romance with this shell of a man, while the REAL Hyeon-Su, who risked everything to save those human trafficking victims, to catch the accomplice, and save Jung Mi-Suk, and all that.... he's just gone. He's essentially dead. And now Jiwon will just be dating this empty version of Hyeon-Su, but she'll always long for the REAL Hyeon-Su, who's never coming back. This is a terrible ending. Honestly they should've just had Hyeon-Su get killed when Hee-Seong shot him. That way, it'd be a nice ending of "Look, he developed from this coldhearted deceitful man, into a caring and loving husband who is willing to die to protect his wife from getting shot". That would've been a much better and more fitting ending. It's like they were too scared to kill him off, so they just killed off his memories and personality instead... effectively the same as killing off but ten times worse in terms of writing
BRO WHERE IS HE hes too good of an actor sawrry yall idgaf about no bullying rumours from when he was a child…
Honestly i feel a similar way. I do not give a single damn if an actor did any kind of bullying as a literal CHILD. I'm here to enjoy someone's acting abilities and skills, i'm not here to scrutinise someone's entire life story and "cancel" them for stuff they did as a kid. If the bullying really did happen, it should be addressed privately at the school during the time it takes place and there should be discussions with the students, parents and teachers, in a private environment where the child can learn about the consequences of their actions, and understand that what they've done has hurt another student. This is where it can be handled properly and resolved.
Bringing up childhood bullying accusations years later when the alleged bully is now an adult man, especially now that he's becoming a famous actor, comes off more as an attempt to damage his reputation and ruin his career, rather than as a way to resolve what happened.
There's a reason why children aren't given the same responsibility as adults are. They're still learning about the world and they're still discovering how their actions can impact others. How can you punish an adult for bullying they did as a child when they were still learning about empathy and how to treat others? Even in Itaewon Class, the main character says to Kim Dong-Hee's character something along the lines of, "That's why you're a minor, because you can't take responsibility." Kids can do shitty things, but, they're kids, they do that sometimes. It's all a part of growing up.
Anyway, the viewers dont caaaaare we just want to see him act again
I love Jang Han-Seo so much, the show is worth watching even just for him.
Really though, i was last here in january 2021 when this aired. I watched 2 episodes and thought "Nah, i'm not into this" but i came back recently, a year and a half later, to give it a second chance, and it was so worth it. Unfortunately, this is one of those kinda shows that can take a couple episodes to hook you, so for the first while you can feel a bit bored, but, oh my gooooood, after about episode 4 or 5, i was hooked completely. It's so worth watching. I love it with all my heart. Yknow how some dramas feel like a drag at the end? This drama only really drags at the start, which is better in my opinion, as once you get into it, it doesn't drag anymore.
At the start, i thought i wouldn't like Hong Cha-Young, the FL, as she seemed a bit annoying, but after a few episodes, i liked her as a character. There is a point around episode 4 or 5 where the show just *Clicks* and hooks you. Yeah it can be a little annoying that it takes that long, but once you get to that point, it's so good, you will love it.
I can understand the reviews for why people disliked it. I think it was given the wrong kinda hype when it came out. I think it's one of those dramas you'll either love or hate, and the only way to know is to watch the first 5 or so episodes.
Give it a shot. Honestly, the description imo doesn't do it complete justice as there are so many likeable factors that arent explored in the description, but i suppose you cant describe every detail of a show without spoiling.
what's wrong with the review?? is it not worth watching?
The last time i was here was back at the start of 2021 when the show started. I watched the first 2 episodes and decided "I'm not into this, it's not for me, i'm dropping it" Over a year and a half later, i decided to give it a second chance and watched it again, and oh my god i'm so glad i did because it's now one of my favourites. I think it's a type of drama that isn't for some people. Maybe there's a certain mood you gotta be in to watch it.. i dunno. But i highly recommend watching the first 5 episodes and making your mind up then. It takes a few episodes to kick off (which i know can be annoying sometimes with other shows) but once you're into the story, you'll be glad you stuck with it, if it's your cup of tea.
bare in mind that my standards have been lowered because i suffered Enchanté for 8 weeks in a row earlier this…
i think the one thing that made 2gether better than Enchanté is that there were more characters to pay attention to, unlike Enchanté where they only let you pay attention to Theo and Akk's story. Honestly though, when talking about just the main couple's stories, both Enchanté and 2gether are just as bad as eachother. I'm glad the 2gether hype gradually faded lmao. I don't think i could've handled Enchanté having the same crazy hype
Once again, does anyone know where i can watch this? Even if this comment is really old by the time you see it, please let me know anyway. Greetings from 2022 lmao
Such a nice film. The only tiny detail i didnt like was that the girl was wayy too quick to realise that her phone had gone to the past. I think it should've been written better because that part seemed so rushed lol
He loved TaoTao so much, he really didn't intentionally hurt her. He was just too oblivious to see that whats her name was trying to get between them.

He was so good in Not Me last year, and Midnight Motel this year, surely he should get more roles???
*checks comments*
"what on earth happened in there..."

You're definitely right: this film has to be watched on a big screen, so yeah i suggest waiting it out.
