Still waiting to see him act again.... He made so much progress when acting in Extracurricular. He has so much poetential. Please return to our screens soon!
Just saying, they could've switched the story around and had Akk be Enchanté (and a bit less engaged in helping Theo find enchanté). It would have been basic and predictable, but it would've created a more salvageable plot than "Theo is a spoilt childish rich guy who wastes everyone's time because he is needy and wants Akk's attention". here's how it could've gone: 1. Theo writes in the book 2. Akk sees this from afar, reads Theo's message afterwards and decides to write a reply as "Enchanté" to make Theo feel less lonely 3. There are many more interactions between Theo and Enchanté in the book before Teho gets in any way attached (in the show he seemed a bit too obsessed with Enchanté as he'd only written to him a few times) 4. Theo asks Akk to help him find Enchanté, Akk says ok, but is reluctant because he doesn't want to be found out 5. Theo is the one who advertises it around the school to find Enchanté, and the 4 guys appear claiming to be Enchanté 6. Story carries on as normal with Theo trying to figure out if one of the 4 boys is Enchanté. Akk tries to encourage Theo to notice that the boys are all after his money and are lying 7. Theo is eventually fooled by one of the 4 boys, and thinks that he's Enchanté and agrees to date him 8. Akk is upset because he knows that the guy is only using Theo, so he appears at the date, drags Theo away, and we have the rooftop scene, but instead it's Akk revealing that he's Enchanté and he only wanted theo to feel less alone and doesn't want to see Theo being used by others 9. The end.
I'm upset at the screenwriter. What did Han Yang do to you??? And they're both my favorite actors who never get…
While it was really painful, i think Han Yang's ending was there to remind us that not everyone will get a good happy ending, and how harsh addiction is in reality.
What on earth was that conclusion to Na Wang Shik's story? When they have the scene of him in the car crash, i assumed it wasn't actually him because we weren't shown his face. The same with the scenes where he's tied up near the bomb. Even with his dead body, i assumed it wasn't actually him because we weren't shown his face. They never made it clear that Na Wang Shik was indeed dead.
It felt like such a cheap conclusion to such a complex and likeable character's story. He died while tied up and bombed? Na Wang Shik? The same Na Wang Shik who we grew attached to as he saved Sunny, was shot in the head, trained hard to become a strong fighter, infiltrated the palace to become the emperor's trustworthy guard, led a group of dissidents who wanted to end the imperial family....... THAT Na Wang Shik died to a simple bomb and didn't even get a goodbye scene like the other characters? How could they do that to such a fantastic character? Why the hell couldn't they do... SOMETHING to make his actor return, even just for those little scenes at the end where the characters were there in the palace and then fading away? I really though at the end we'd see Sunny turn around to see Na Wang Shik, and she'd say "Thank you for saving me" or something, and then Na Wang Shik would fade away like the others did.
I truly truly love this show, and i actually really liked the ending, in terms of the imperial family ending, and the emperor dying and Ari living with Sunny, and the sweet scenes of the characters at the palace fading away (I wish we had one of the Grandmother too....) but damn, they really ruined the ending for Na Wang Shik's character. Not even a mention of him in the end. It's like Sunny forgot him.
This is honestly one of the greatest dramas i've ever seen oh my god
i feel like i watched a different show to everyone else though? Where's the crack that everyone is saying that this show was on? To me it was just a really exciting dramatic story, not too crazy.
Heheh this airs on the day my final exams finish, what a treat! but i do plan on watching the original Spanish show first, so i wont be able to watch it straight away
It's such a shame that he hasn't been acting much recently. I honestly thought that Extracurricular was gonna boost him to loads more big roles, but he hasnt acted much since. I first saw him as Ha-Min in the webdrama A-Teen, and seeing him grow throughout his roles, gradually improving, was brilliant. His role in Extracurricular really really showcased some brilliant acting skills.
I really hope his career hasn't been too held back by those elementary school bullying allegations. It makes me angry that someone would try and ruin someone's career by bringing up ELEMENTARY SCHOOL bullying allegations. I mean, cmon, you can't judge an adult man for anything he did as a literal child. It's my firm belief that the things person does up to and including the age of 18 should not greatly impact their adult life (unless it was some actual serious crime, which isnt the case here at all). Children are still learning about the world, and how their actions affect others. An elementary age child certainly won't have a full grasp on things like this. If bullying is an issue during elementary school, then bring it up during elementary school, while it can be dealt with properly between the school and the parents. I see no reason to mention this stuff years later as adults, other than to damage the reputation and career of the alleged bully.
I'd say like 99% of us said or did something as a young kid that made another kid cry. We've all probably teased other kids on the playground at some point.
I said it before and i'll say it again: the things that a person does when they're 18 or below shouldn't be able to impact their life and career as an adult, unless it's something extremely serious. Especially things someone does as a literal elementary school child
that's great to hear! Welcome to the Goldenness life lolol. there's a really good website called golchaindex.com that's really good for new fans to find golden child content easily. Next comeback is their 2nd Japanese single "Rata-Tat-Tat" which will be released on 11th May.
They're a really great group of people, so i hope you enjoy your time as a Goldenness!! I've only been a fan since late 2019 so i still feel new, but maybe i'm not that new anymore lol.
if you have any questions about Golden Child, or if you want random recommendations of videos/series they've done, just let me know!
my main issues in this show were the fact that Sarawat felt more like a robot than a real human character, like, he seemed kinda out of it for most of the show? Like he just didn't act like a person would act?? Also the lack of chemistry between the leads. I don't mind if a series lacks physical romance stuff; but i just felt that the two characters didnt actually like eachother at all. They didnt suit one another. I don't really understand the BrightWin ship, because I don't see how they fit well together on screen.
It's definitely the type of series you'd binge during a school holiday (like i did) just to have something light to watch. Honestly, i only kept watching for the very brief side romance of Frank and Drake's characters (uhhh Sarawat's brother and the dude who also played guitar). Also, i really loved the soundtrack. Scrubb have some great songs and this series helped me discover them. The first song i listened to when the clock struck midnight on new years eve was "Thuk yang" by Scrubb.
I waited until the finale thinking that I would binge it and I've been stuck at ep3 since April 1st because I…
yeah it really is one of those shows that you need to watch as it airs each week. The idea of binging this in one go sounds painful lmao. it was a decent watch, when it was just once a week, but i wouldnt have been able to binge it lmao
At first the series was good actually, I was thinking that it had potential but when I found out that Theo was…
Honestly they should've ended the series with that rooftop scene after Theo said that he was Enchanté and it would've been a much better ending.
But no, we had to see the show get much much worse by having Theo act like a little kid who's refusing to let his parents split up. I mean, cmon, what grown adult would bother to try to make their parents get back together lmao, that's the type of plotline i remember seeing in kids shows when i was like 12 lol
Lmao i was in a local supermarket a few weeks ago, here in Europe, and they suddenly started playing the opening music for this show and i just kinda froze and was waiting to hear Earth and Mix shout "EMS EarthMix Space!" at the end of the song lmaoo.
of course, it's just a song, seperate to this show, but i found it funny
Sorry but was anyone else wanting to slap Theo when he found out about his parents' divorce?
Firstly, him being angry at Akk for not telling him?!? It's not Akk's place to tell him about that. If I was Akk, I certainly wouldn't have told Theo that his parents split up, because that's for them to tell him.
Secondly, his reaction to it was so childish? I can understand feeling upset and confused, but he's a grown man. He reacted like a young teenager would. The scene where he tried to get his parents back together was so cringe too... Idk but i thought it was really rude and unfair of him to basically try and guilt trip his parents into staying in a relationship that was clearly painful for them.
I think the entire storyline of the parents splitting up should've been left put because it only made me dislike Theo more. Poor Akk having to deal with that spoilt rich boy ahaha.
No hate on the actors btw. I really like both Book and Force, but god i hated the character of Theo, he was written to be so unlikeable, i feel sorry for Book being given such an unlikeable character as his first big role
I enjoyed watching it each week, as it gave me something to look forward to, but the story and writing were really poor.
Glad i watched it though because without this, i wouldn't have watched ForceBook Show Real, which was a fun short variety show. Honestly i preferred that show to this drama.
As a pair of friends, I really like ForceBook. They're good fun. But as a pair of love interests in a drama? Not really. I hope they can both get chances to act separately. I like them but i dont think they suit eachother as a couple in a drama.
Among all the upcoming GMMTV 2022 series, this is definitely one of the top 3 i'm most excited for. I liked Jimmy in Bad Buddy, so i was delighted to see that he would be getting a lead role so soon.
The plot seems really interesting and i'm excited to see how the story will play out.
And the filming has already started so we won't have to wait very long!!! So so happy!!!!
If anyone else on MDL is a Goldenness, you are legally required to let me know. I'm so excited to see Jaehyun acting more. I think he'd work really well in any acting projects.

I'm a huge fan of both body swap dramas and bromance stuff, so this was a great one.
