I enjoyed it. Just a standard college bl with nothing much going on, but it's nice to watch during boring summer holidays. They shouldn't have had the plotline of Typhoon liking Daonuea as a main thing though. Having these useless extra characters who crush on the main character, even though neither the audience or main character likes the person just makes for an annoying story. They did it here with Typhoon, and they did it in 2gether with Mil. The issue with these types of "competitors" who are competing against the main character's love interest, is that they act moreso as obstacles for the actual romance, rather than likeable characters who we can enjoy watching or even root for, if we like them enough. It's not like in some non-BL shows such as the kdrama School 2015 or the Jdrama Good Morning Call, where viewers are able to like both love interests, and even root for the second leads. In shows like those, the love rivals act as normal, likeable characters, who we enjoy watching, rather than these pointless obstacles. And the thing with characters like Typhoon, or Mil in 2gether, is that they never notice when the main character is very clearly uninterested in dating them. They disregard the main character's feelings just because they want a shot at romance. They're selfish and uncaring, and incredibly annoying to watch. At least make love rivals be people we can like, and feel sympathy for, even if we don't want them to succeed in romancing the main character. With Typhoon, he was so unlikeable that i was just wishing the whole time that he'd just go away from Daonuea. I didn't feel any sympathy for him or anything. ok rant over
It's not really a BL, no. But it's a show made for BL fans. There is a small amount of BL, but not enough to fully classify it as a BL. It's worth watching though.
Please give him a main role in a series!!!! please please. He's handsome, he has real nice shoulders and he was especially good in 3 Will Be Free, as well as his other roles. Please give this man a main role. Let's all hope that GMMTV 2023 will give us Gunsmile in a main role
Is it just me or did anyone else take quite a while to figure out the relationship between Aunt In and Uncle Nu? (Geejee and Gunsmile's characters) At the start i thought he was just her bodyguard or driver or something, and then i thought they were mother and son lol. Only about halfway through the show i realised they were brother and sister lmao
I am a big fan of bodyswap tropes in general (something about getting a chance to live as someone else always fascinated me), but i did find the bodyswap between relatives somewhat offputting. Luckily, this show handles it really well compared to how it could've. The way they have Mix acting as Win , even when in Lin's body, like 90% of the time really worked well as it shows that Korn always viewed him as who he was regardless of which body he was in, and also, it made it less uncomfortable.
I loved Mix's acting, especially when Win was being real mean. It really showed off his acting abilities, and it made his character growth much nicer.
Normally i dont want kdramas to get more seasons because i prefer a story to stay within 1 season, but i really think a season 2 of DP will only give us another masterpiece, just like season 1. I like that season 1's ending could've worked as a standalone ending, but it is also suitable for a season 2 ahhhhhhh i cant wait
Good premise and interesting story but it is presented to us in such a confusing and strangely paced film that you find yourself feeling quite lost by the end. Son Ye-Jin's acting was great though. I just think the order of events and the way it pieces together should've been done differently as it can be tricky to follow
While it was really painful, i think Han Yang's ending was there to remind us that not everyone will get a good…
I would argue that in this life, there is no such thing as a "good person". We're all just humans, with both positive and negative traits. None of us can ever truly be "good" or "bad"
Imagine you're on holiday in Thailand and aw shit you've just gotten injured, so you head off to hospital and you're waiting for a doctor to see you and Wai from Bad Buddy walks in like "ayo what seems to be the problem?"
No there's no actual side couple. Only a tiny glimpse of one side character having a crush on another side character, but there's no proper side couple
Anyone else who is really frustrated with Na Wang Shik's ending... I HIGHLY recommend watching the drama 'Zombie Detective' next. It's starring Choi Jin-Hyuk, who played Na Wang Shik, and also the other actor who played him at the start The reason i recommend it is because it basically serves as a sequel, in a way. Choi Jin-Hyuk's character wakes up as a zombie with no memory of how he died and he wants to find out who he is. If you do some mental hoopjumping, you can decide that this is what happens after Na Wang-Shik died in The Last Empress. Also, episode 1 or 2 of Zombie Detective has a tiny reference to The Last Empress Also Choi Jin-Hyuk looks very handsome as a zombie, i wont lie
This drama is the perfect blend of comedy fun and also cool investigation stuff. IT perfectly mixes the two genres without going too heavy on one or the other. I didn't find the FL annoying like others did... maybe because i liked seeing a familiar face as she's in Extracurricular which i really liked (Although i hated her character in that show because she wasn't very nice....). I liked the FL in this show though.
Choi Jin-Hyuk as a zombie is definitely the main appeal of course.... ngl, he looks extra nice as a zombie :0 I'm now going to have to binge more of his dramas
Also, I suggest watching the drama The Last Empress right before watching this one... it just works (also this drama has a tiny reference to The Last Empress in like the first or second episode) Also the stories can kinda connect if you jump some mental hoops lol
I'm so excited ahhhhhh this is the GMMTV 2022 series that i was MOST excited for... so when JimmySea were in Safe House it gave me hope that this show would be airing soon, and now there's just a couple weeks to go AH I CANT WAIT

My heart aches after Ter's death though bruhhhhhh
Oh how i wish we had seen some KornWai even just a little.
I'm glad they work together in the end though
