Wow this is word for word from the webtoon. As Stephen Bowman said, I guess the fake break up is indeed happening…
Now that's got me wondering too. Is there going to be something introduced that's different in the drama than the webtoon? Are you happy with the reorder in drama ?
As thought it looks like it's following webtoon with fake breakup the whole response from Hyesun was hilarious
Yes Hye Sun has always been helping them and not Sun woo. Without Hye Sun alot about what makes a Gumiho's would be lost. Also she is always the bridge for the river of misunderstandings as we mere mortals don't understand what makes a gumiho. I think the question Hye Sun posed is really interesting. Was Fox wrong ? I don't know but I can understand that Dam would want him to save others. Maybe I'm not human then as I can empathize with fox lol
I have two questions, which are not letting me sleep for two nights straight! Someone kind enough, to answer this…
2. I believe we will know more in ep 13, something in the previews about his red bead turning blue but yet he did not turn human ( this is only my conjecture at this point ). What we know so far is that Fox has instinctive animal hunger. The infamous kiss that was from lovingly passionate to animalistic intensity showed us he has a animal hunger for her which if not satisfied he will grow weak (He cancelled a class because he grew so weak not being able to satisfy his animal hunger) This hunger became a threat to Dam. This really affected the Fox, he agonized about it as he is by now deeply in love with Dam. At first, he wanted to resolve this problem on his own but thanks to Hye Sun and courageous Dam, the Fox shape-shifting to Jae Jin, they decided not to stay away from each other, courageous Dam stepped up and basically told him we're in this together. I don't think he actually kissed the co-worker. Also Hye Sun suggested ep 10 he collect energy from other women in order to spare Dam from being a threat. But he has historically not been keen on this. So there must be desperation on his part to do so. He also mentioned that the bead is collecting energy which made no sense to both Hye Sun and Fox and the show did not elaborate on this. ( My thinking is, and I could be wrong is that his becoming more human - his human feelings and emotions, human thought process and human experiences because of Dam is collecting energy )

1. Fox was a loner , not interested in being human. Therefore disinterested in collecting energy from humans or forming any human relationships. Dam accidentally took his red bead. At first he thought it would be interesting to take her energy by offering her to be his roommate and lying to her he doesn't know how to take back the bead. He never intended to harm her or risk her life. In ep 1 when Fox explained to Dam why people born on the year of tiger made her sick and touched her cheeks to remove her pain, the red bead turned blue which has never ever happened to him before. This not only made him more interested to be human but curious about Dam. At the end of 2nd ep he wanted to take back his bead as he was developing human feelings of sympathy and affection for Dam. (Dam could not eat chicken nor drink alcohol as per his contract and fox saw her cry in her room missing her mum as she was just told she will die if the bead was not transfered back - even so Dam had thought her toilet incident inadvertently would lose the bead to the sewer, this selfless act by Dam who should be happy about losing the bead deeply affected Fox especially when he asked her why she was worried about losing his bead) of course by the time he did take back his bead they have both already fallen for each other.
1 more sleep to ep 13!!!! Might not be able to sleep tonight. Ep 12 I was crying for Dam. I think ep 13 I'm going to be crying for Fox .. the previews are ripping my heart out for Fox.... why has his bead turn blue yet he is still not human?
The main premise of the show, as I see it, is Fox Woo Yeo's journey to being human. It is in essence a love story.…
Yes I do expect the pay off to come in the next few episodes. I hope it will be done right ( writer-nim, 🙏). Alot of us viewers can't wait for this pay off - The triumph between the love of a fox and human against all odds, against time and against human destiny & fate, to have what we humans take for granted, an ordinary future together. ❤ It will be magnificent to witness. And I cannot wait.
With all that has happened so far, is the ml not being able to be close to the fl the highlight of the show? Because…
The main premise of the show, as I see it, is Fox Woo Yeo's journey to being human. It is in essence a love story. I see Dam as the key. Their beautiful love story - a human's love for a fox and a fox's love for a human, is the promise of his humanity. These 12 episodes so far is at it's crescendo where the stakes are very high. The fox has months to live, he is tortured by the fact that he can never be her ordinary future. He tried to resolve his energy issue on his own, taking it from a co-worker rather than risking Dam's life. Now this big mistake has jeopardized the only thing that matters to him which is to spend as much ordinary time with Dam before he ceases to exist. I do not see what is happening these past 12 episodes as repetitive. I do see their relationship blossom and grow, that the fox is experiencing more and more human joy as well as human suffering. And making mistakes along the way. We also see Dam learn more and more, with the help of Hye Sun, about what is at stake for a fox to be human. I am looking forward to Wednesday, these past few days have been unbearable to say the least.
