At this point both ML's annoy me.First the obvious: Sun Woo. Dude! She already said 'No'! Multiple. Times. And…
Woo Yeo isn't human. He is at the point of desperation. His time is running out. Although he should have told Dam the truth, he wanted to handle this on his own - big mistake. Also, this is the second time that he made the mistake of using magic which Dam does not like as it puts others at risk - second mistake. Woo Yeo still has alot to learn to be human. That is why he hasn't turn human. He is going through all the human emotions - jealousy, envy, hunger, sexual desire, heartache, heartbreak etc. The drama is showing us his journey. The red thread pushes him to act rashly, now he is paying for it. However Dam does not know how high the stakes are for him. That he will turn to an evil maegu and be eliminated by the mountain spirit if he doesn't turn human. Taking energy from others was because he didn't want to harm her. He does not know any other way to be human, neither does Hye Sun. Though I fully understand Dam. I also understand Woo Yeo. Life is never easy for us humans and Woo Yeo is getting exactly what it's like to be human.
Ep 12 Woo Yeo made me so uncomfortable. He giving out paedophilia vibes ;(
Jang Ki Yong is only 2 years older than Hyeri. Both in their late 20s. In this drama, His character is 999 year old gumiho. No one in the universe is going to be older or his age.
I still love it despite all the problems. I feel like I am in this fight along with them. Of course people will…
I expected some angst and conflicts to propel this love story. We are coming to the end. There must be a climatic end where stakes are higher. And this break up is definitely raises the stakes to nuclear. The best part, for want of a better word is I can't blame either of them. Yet I didn't want either of my beloved Main leads to be hurt, all the same. I guess that's the power of a grand love story. I don't love this story any less, I just emotionally invested in them that I didn't want to see them break up.
My favourite line in this episode is what Hye Sun said to Dam when Dam asked what she thought of the red thread, about one's destiny that's tied to it. She said "Do you know why all animals want to be human? Because only humans can decide their own destiny." Script writer I applaud you! This is too cruel that I have to wait a week of having to fester on this DamYeo break-up.
Same. I will be nursing this break-up the whole week now sigh... pass me the makgeolli
The show showed twice where she stopped because of that damn red string stopping her from walking away. Sometimes she could even see the string. Each time even if she stopped she cursed the damn string. As the show said Unlike Animals, Humans decide their own destiny. She has always chosen Woo Yeo.

Under the circumstances red string and all, I believe they were both put in that position where their lives intertwined time and time again. This was out of their control. However how they handled this was vastly in their control and Dam couldn't have handled Sun Woo's advances any better than anyone. However I can't speak the same about Sun Woo, which I find needs his butt kicked. She really stepped up and was always honest with Woo Yeo even if it wasn't her hugging, touching her hair and etc. There was no way for her to avoid. I viscerally felt she loved Woo Yeo because she wouldnt have broken up if she wasn't in love with him and made alot of sacrifices to be with him.
Awwwwww that doesn't sound so bad now. The thing is I viscerally get why Dam broke up with him. Mind you, I only watched the drama. I felt Dam was giving it everything she's got. So this from Woo Yeo felt like a huge betrayal. I felt like it wasn't so much that he used someone else so he wouldn't hurt Dam but more like he wasn't honest as she was to him that broke the camel's back. Every step was courageous at the risk of a well-being : when Woo Yeo shape-shifted to Jae Jin, pull chair office, after blackout kiss, each time she reinforced that she was willing to put herself at risk for him. So him keeping mum and now all her uni peers think he is with someone else is just not something even I would let slide. It's interesting that in the webtoon she faked the break up. I felt it wouldn't have the same feel if she faked it in ep 12. They already deviated, I think the break-up made sense. It also pushed this drama up a notch. Do you feel the same? What are your thoughts on the different versions?
Yes I have watched it. Thanks to you at least the blow of Woo Yeo "cheating" has softened abit... tiny bit. I'm still hurt by it though.. I really didn't want the writers to take this part of the webtoon. I'm anxious for Woo Yeo to explain himself, with the spoilers I think Hye Sun is going to be a great help again. I could really feel Dam's heartache. So I really want this resolved quickly but it looks like She might find out that he might die if he doesn't turn human? And running out of time? Also the blue marble which she seems to be the only one who can save him???? Not looking good... looks like more angst to come. How do you think this will play out?
No I do not read Korean and another commenter has kindly given me the links for the webtoon. Now I'm interested to read the webtoon if I can get inside Woo Yeo's mind. Thank you!
Am living for every scene with Hye Sun & her road in learning new idioms 🙌, LMAO, hilarious af 🤣And to see…
It was hilarious I laughed so loud I thought she would grab her own chest not Soo Kyung's haha I love Hye Sun. And I liked that she straight up said what a genuine nice guy Jae Jin , and there isn't fakery there. Love!!!!
"The way it is right now I prefer the webtoon, because that is when we began to see that he really isn't human, it was about him learning how to be one by making mistakes and getting burned, thus correcting them and learning new lessons, there was a clear character transformation. However, to each their own, plus the drama isn't over yet, they might pull it off in a different way."
^^This made me want to read the webtoon. I really hope this will be shown in some shape or form on the episodes that's left.
My 2 cents worth.
