Agreed with everything you said. I love that they are so honest with each other. That they trust and believe in…
Yes misunderstandings like these are all too common in kdramaland and used as a tool to advance their plot. That is why I too, like yourself find it refreshing and addictive because it doesn't insult viewer's intelligence and there is an actual story to tell. I totally get you about the noble idiocy expectation. I, too thought Woo Yeo might not tell her about the red string. Because it's fate/destiny of a human and that he will bow to being noble and let human destiny/fate takes it's course. Thus, he will not fight for Dam. That is why I was blown away that he told her about it and let her make up her own mind what to think about it. I really appreciate the writers for doing this. That he respects her and trust her to do so. I love this healthy communication. I love this mutual respect of talking heart to heart without judgement. It makes their relationship worth rooting for. Again, everything you said I totally felt. It makes me really happy to find like-minded people.
Which kiss scene? Best to clarify. There are different camps here π
Exactly. You hit it on the nail. I found it tender passionate intimate ... mind blowing. I love that it was Dam who went in for the kiss. So rare in kdramaland especially in such an intimate long tender kiss. Hands were where it should beπ€£ This time Hyeri stepped up. This kiss belongs to both of them without which it wouldn't have been so special.
Nfl the whole police station set up made my heart flutter for a bit, it's just such a tried and tasted trope to…
In this show, SML hasn't redeemed himself and all this before the red string bonded them. 1. SML cannot take no for an answer. Dam has shown zero interest in him. Dam clarified beside the bus that she is indifferent to the bet incidence. That incidence will not change her interest for him. Dam has not given any mixed signals. In fact, she has been brutally honest. She has said to him in private that she is likes someone else. She later tells him in front of everyone she has a boyfriend. This shows he has boundary issues. That he does not respect her. Therefore entitlement issues. It's really not healthy.
2. The viewers saw his internal dialog when he thought Jae Jin is her love interest. He felt he was superior therefore having superiority complex. That Dam could do better being with him. He later used money to reward his sister for confirming the notion that he is superior to Jae Jin in the looks department. Bribing her twice for it too. We also see he him looking at the mirror satisfyingly. To me, that shows he places wealth and beauty over what's inside.
Since his history of being a player, the bet imcident and his silence objectifying women - he hasn't changed to redeem himself. The bet and the objectifying women apology was just a blip, he still has a long way to redeem himself.
The best thing in this drama is the communication b/w Main leads..I was totally surprised by that..Lee dam talks…
Exactly! I really want to see them happy with Woo Yeo smiling and being happy. I want to see him break out of his shell and be human. Like the mukbang and office pull chair tease. Like the first date bouquet and picking clothes as if he is a young man on a first date instead of a 999 year old gumiho. I want see this inexperienced 999 gumiho's journey to being human in love!
I hope red string will get us there quickly and not drag on.
Here goes my personal wishlist :1. I know in the webtoon, WY only turned into a human in the very last chapter…
Your wish list is my wish list. Especially 3. Please don't ruin it with 3. Woo Yeo has cultivated morals and honour for centuries, don't mess his character now this late in the game.
Yea that two where says nope taking your choice away and forcing to love this one idk something taking someone…
Yeah it annoys me too but I'm hoping it's to lead Woo Yeo to be human. That this is the joy of love and being loved, longing, jealousy, pain and heartache that he must go through to become human.
one thing I really love about wooyeo and dam is that they communicate well. most of the time (in dramas at least)…
Agreed with everything you said. I love that they are so honest with each other. That they trust and believe in each other to tell the truth even if it will hurt the other hearing it. The pacing is just right too. The red thread misunderstanding was paid off quickly in the next episode. No long drawn out misunderstandings and noble idiocies. P.S I loved your long write-up.
Exactly, Feels as though they didn't see that mind blowing kiss between the leads. Also Dam was the one going in for the kiss with Woo Yeo. How can that even compare.
