He doesn't even bother to deny when thirteen says 'i know you likes her, but--'... Apparently, distance really does makes the heart grow something something. Anyway. The new song for ep 14 is also really pretty!!! This might be one of the rare case where i'm going to like all the OST, they're all so calming and yet quite... what's the word, heart-wrenching? All the little things happening in the latest episodes, despite rather annoying, slowly paved the little pathway for shen nuo to go back to man er. I guess I'd have to forgive them for forcing me to endure yet another hua'er's scheme to ruin everyone's day.
I was a bit taken aback by the absence of the opening song. I'm so used to skip the first one and a half minute that i almost missed the beginning part of this episode. But today's new ost was beautiful. That and shen nuo's leaving (for now) adds to the feeling that we're entering a new arc. I wonder whether we're going to see more of man'er trying to fend for herself or if it's going to be a fast forward/time skip to the next part. Anything is better that Family Dispute on a Farm, i guess.
starting this and now i'm on ep 3. so far it's very entertaining. the ML's narcissism is borderline annoying me, but it's fine because he keeps suffering because of it lol. i agree that this feels very similar to WWWSK, but sillier. i hope it stays light and funny until the end.
I really don't want to be rude to an elderly (fictional character or otherwise) but i just want politely request grandma to kindly shut the f up. She doesn't just talk but she shrieks, like, 95% of the time! I just get worried about her throat, sometimes. I usually run away from the earliest sign of makjang-dom but somehow i just can't stop watching this. I just hope we're going to get good enough gratification after all these emotional drainage. Come on, drama, please give me the romance that you've promised! Don't tell me that I have to wait until episode, what, 18? 20???
Okay but I really like the FL, ML, and the SML so far.Man Er stands her own ground firmly, and doesn't back down.…
Very great observation! I usually don't mind love triangle situation as long as everyone is being reasonable and respectful. Shen nuo is probably intrigued by man er but i don't think he would realized that he likes her without any external threat lol. He's also tends to be an ass just to tease her. In contrast, you heng is always such a gentleman, and I think shen nuo could learn a thing or two from him lol.
The NPCs are quite savage. I don't know if I want to be in a game like this... 🤣🤣🤣
Right?! I was shocked at how everyone is so mean and shameless. I mean, it's not unrealistic, but it's giving me whiplash because i thought it was just a light romcom. Now all of a sudden it's borderline makjang XD
Continuing from the 'ml is another player' theory, the game feels like two different genre from each of their pov lol. While man er missions are about farming/family/wealth building centric, shen nuo's game sounds more like adventure/political centric lol
I think, either the shen nuo is another player or someone from development team. He seems to know way more things…
Something that i noted was the drama felt very... staged? Kinda like a theater production? Something about the direction maybe making it look like things only happen in front of the camera; it feels very disjointed when new character came into the screen. Especially during the whole family introduction sequence. The grandma (and the whole extended family, actually) acting was also very, hyperbolic(?) that it adds to the theatrical vibe of it.
I think, either the shen nuo is another player or someone from development team. He seems to know way more things than he lets on. Also, from watching few dramas of similar tropes, man er probably was supposed to end up with you heng in the game, but then got distracted by shen nuo XD.
i know the director has his issues lmao but i am glad he is the one directing this show because the aesthetic…
The only reason I'm not happy with the FL cast is that she usually played rather softer(?) type of character who cries a lot (at least from what i've seen so far) and, I was just so blown away by neo's chemistry with a plucky heroine in back from the brink. Honestly, I just love plucky heroine in general. And I'm really excited for this drama, but if I don't like the FL's then I think it's going to a deal breaker for me. But, as of now, we don't even have synopsis yet so, I hope they're going to prove me wrong.
Starting this up to ep 4 and this is just the level of ridiculousness that I enjoy for a weekend binge so far…
I'm done! And that was delightful! This is the perfect amount of everything for me. A bit campy at times, but I'm glad that the drama seems aware of it's own limitation. I love that it doesn't take itself too seriously, and so it can avoid being bogged down by unnecessary draggy angst like many other dramas. Pacing is also good; 30 episodes feels like a breeze and i never feel bored. Every characters done their part well, and I love every single one of them, even the villains! Special shout out to siya-xun couple for being so unproblematic but also super adorable in their cluelessness; they're probably up there as one of my top 5 favorite side couple ever!
I came here and saw the eps count and proceeded to retreat lol. And then I accidentally stumbled upon the compressed 1,5 hour version on youtube and that was a very easy watch. I give this 7.5 out of 10 for the short version. Not sure how I would feel if I have to sit through the whole 41 eps though.
I am watching it on kisskh.co. OMG, the translation was shocking in some parts. They translated the ML asking…
Same! But I have to say I've been trained by the atrocity of mangotv ai-translated sub so I guess at this point for me any hint of eng sub is better than no sub at all XD
