I know this is a multiple-couple romance drama, but I still can't help but be duped. Most of the promo relied…
considering wang xing yue's rise in stardom last year, it's no wonder that they pushed his arc to the forefront in the teasers; it's all about marketing i guess
Just spent a whole day binge watching this. Things went crazy but it was fun, it's like a mix of dr romantic and code blue, and considering both are two of my most favorite medical dramas then this should be a no brainer formula for a hit. The fact that it's only 8 eps is probably the reason why some of the cases feels weirdly serendipitous, but hey, afterall we're here for the fun part so i'm kinda glad they skipped some of the potentially tedious part. Also, this could sounds like nitpicking but i feel like some of the comedic scenes are wayy too overreacted, (the screamings, especially) but i kinda see where they're going with the style so it's still somewhat watchable. All in all, it was a fun 8 hours to spend in the weekend.
[Filming Spoilers] yan zheng, changyu, and ningning 🥺https://x.com/forxiwei/status/1883535751591424499?t=Xw0MAYvMgF421XuSfHiCwg&s=19
i was worried that the drama would cut changning out from the narrative, cause i'm not seeing any kids on the cast and credits list. but seeing this clip has restored my faith back!
just starting the first episode and few things already baffles me. the seemingly meek but actually philanderer husband of 2nd sister; the audacity of the peeking boys to scold the girls for their unruly behavior; even chai an, like, of all things a boy can do to attract ladies, why resort to kicking a ball into their head? and he didn't even look that guilty about it? i know we're setting the bar low for future progression. but they're not even trying to make me like the characters, especially the male ones. we need some redeeming quality so we could cheer for their growth, but so far i'm seeing none. then again, it's only from the 1st episode. let's hope things will get better in the next ones.
I think if all things go smoothly, this could very well air late 2025. Blossom, by the same director finished…
While i do think it would be great for this to air soon, I also don't want them to rush the production. TPR was very quick to air but the editing was very choppy and lackluster. I hope the same thing would not happen to this drama.
its kind of a major spoiler. if you are sure, I can pm you.
Ah well, i just have high hopes, cause this director has successfully adapt a book into a smash hit before, which i enjoy (i didn't read the book, but i didn't see any reader complaining about it either). But yeah, i'll try to curb my expectations so i won't be too disappointed if it crashed 😅

above everything i really hope they're not going to try to shove a love triangle too much into the main couple relationship. book xie zheng was even got jealous by random person standing within 2m radius of chang yu, if they stretch this stupid jealousy angle for too long in the drama i really would not be able to tolerate it.
i ffwd the first ep but i think some of the jokes got lost is translation. i feel like if i'm watching this with better contextual understanding it would be a lot funnier.
I just completed the novel, man what a ride. I rarely read translated chinese historical novel because of the…
On the contrary i think it doesn't stray that far from the spunky and un-ladylike characters that she usually plays. From NLB, WCRG, ROTF, and i think even her character in dafeng is not going to be the typical princess character. However, i think she's probably going to be dubbed cause her real voice is very cute and girly and not very suitable for a female general.
what was that epilogue lololol are they pulling the marvel card now. the little girl is so cute though. now that i think about it, this director loves to put mini cross-references as easter eggs in his short dramas. let's see if he'll do it again in his other drama after this. who knows if we would get zhao zhao mo mo couple cameo on that linghe-xiwei drama that's currently in the making.
Maybe because grief got to him. He lost his mom, then found out his dad was the cause of it all. Later his beloved…
i think it's kinda intentional cause this drama is rather FL centric, in my opinion. in the first place, this drama was about DZ's second chance and it just so happens that she met the same person from her first life. we also see things from her POV most of the time, since SM doesn't remember anything from his past life.
I haven't got time to finish this yet, but i just want to note that i love the scene where DZ was doing hair care for SM, washing and coloring and then putting it up in a hairdo, all the while casually discussing about the state of current politics XD. I love how this director always manage to make domestic situation like this feels so sweet but meaningful at the same time. It's one of the things that i like about his short dramas and I'm glad he has more chance to do it in a longer drama.
