I disagree with the notion of the younger sister's inability to have the mental capacity to have a relationship.…
Oh i agree, parents should not Push, encourage, or suggest for any type of romantic relationship. If the individual doesnt naturally seek for it themselves then i find it manipulative to sway them into it.
poor Dora has every nasty person against her except the ML. this show is incredibly stressful. I’m sorry. anyone…
I disagree with the notion of the younger sister's inability to have the mental capacity to have a relationship. Self-advocates for those with disabilities have been hard at work to discourage society from looking at one or some deficit in cognitive function as a determining factor of the life they can live. This essentially is something only her physician can declare.
I do, however, respect and see where you are coming from because she does need a higher level of protection from predatory individuals. It's a difficult situation, and different countries have different laws. I had the same mindset, too, until I did an internship at a living facility that allowed people with developmental disabilities to have sex in their rooms with a partner of a legal age. Some states allow it as their legal and human right.
To be in 2024 and romanticizing an abuser is gross. Based on her nightmares, Do Ra should instinctively be afraid of all men, tbh. I knew it was a Makjang but this one is just not for me. I'll be back to check on the little brother and little sister ship.
I can’t believe it’s already coming to an end! I’ve been getting spoiled with good dramas lately with Destined with you, My Demon, Please Marry My Husband and now this.
What will I do after it ends????
Hyun Bin, Gong Yoo, Song Joon Ki, Woo Bin, Min Ho, Jong Suk, Ro Won, somebody please!!! come up with a new drama right after this one.
As much as I LOVE the FL, the ML's family better be against a reunion unless they live in the countryside with them and run a company there. Her family is so toxic on so many levels that they deserve this new phase of their lives.
Everyone in this show is morally ambiguous. Even if the marriage is consensual, Do Han is lying to AJ's parents, how will they feel to find out about how he followed and nagged their daughter into a marriage contract when they were excited for the union?
JH is still an awful brother for not considering how SKorea is already not accepting of people who are different. He doesn't take his brother's desperation into consideration as to why he would go to such lengths.
AJ is also lying to her friends and family and has made a career out of people lying to their loved ones.
My problem with the comment sections is that they seem to be looking at the lens of who is good and who is bad.
Being gay doesn't give you the right to intentionally lie to people. He should protect his identity but why get into the position where you intentionally lie to the press and to AJ's parents?
Being a neglected/abused orphan does not give you the right to control someone's life.
Being poor and struggling does not give you the right to lie to your family and friends.
FWIW, Yura was in the source of the material, just not in the webtoon.
Ahhh I see what you mean. No worries, I actually had no idea there was a web novel too tbh. I just don't have a problem with Yura's appearance in the drama since it gives us a balance between getting to know Ji Won's personal life and Ji Hyuk's personal life. I was just pointing out that maybe a more seasoned actress might have been less outshined by the level of versatility we have been seeing from Lee Yi Kyung and Song Ha Yoon.
The showdown scene between Ji Won and Su Min is the level of acting we all deserve. It's the only part not in the webtoon that I have enjoyed so far. This show's ending is low-key the GOT for me, except they made it longer and diverted from the source of the material. Yura is such a weak Villain in comparison to the OG baddies, and the actress is outshined by every actor she shares a screen with to the point that it dulls any level of intimidation we are supposed to see from her. She is not bad she is just far behind in terms of the rest of the cast.
FL is highly unprofessional. I'm on Ep 3, and I'm hoping she gets better at her job. To be honest I'm surprised she made It through a rigorous nursing program because of a crush. At her level she is more capable as a non-licensed personnel. I would love to see her swoon over the Doctor while they are at home and fully focused on her patients at work.
First, Jo Jong Suk is carrying this Drama. He, the dowager, the queen, and the court lady are possibly the most entertaining portion of the drama. SSK's character has been falling flat to me in the last 2 episodes for whatever reason. Also, this is probably the most amateur Kdrama job of plotting. I know they saw signs of my girl swaying to the other side, and still put their lives at risk and relied on her? IT COULD NEVER BE ME.
There is always the possibility that he is duplicitous. That would be an interesting plot devolvement, although…
I low key hope that he really is. That he has been fooling himself to be kind and just couldn't hide it anymore once his big bro his most powerful threat was out of the way. It would be more interesting but for a love story it would be quite angsty.
TBH it’s clear to me that his plan is to find who is behind the poison, punish them and bring back his nephew and keep his promise to the King. He was told to trust no one so he is doing just that.
i am not convinced that he suddenly became ruthless and cold.I hope he truly is though because there is no such thing as a Kind Hearted King. a King is always under a threat, has to be always suspicious, command respect and instill fear. The place and the throne has never been for the weak. The weak do not live long or become a puppet.
My issue with cross-dressing dramas is the lack of self-reflection on the part of the person for lying to people. They keep this lie for way longer than necessary, and to people they don't need to keep it from. It's just a drama, so I can stan the OTP disregarding their whole relationship started out on a foundation of a lie. I'll just enjoy the fantasy because, in real life, that's a BIG RED FLAG, lol.

The criticism of "controlling someone" was towards LJH forching DH to become president when all he wants is a quiet life.
If you read my comment carefully you will notice how i criticized AJ too for lying, so talking about it agin in this response would be redundant.
Liars always have a reason that is to them a good reason to lie that regardless of who they are hurting with their lies.
I stand by my original post, every one is morally ambiguous in this drama.
