Omg yes, my thoughts exactly. I might just be a casual viewer, but in anime we see tons of MCs like Ahjin, and…
I never claimed what was humane and what was not. However when pedophillic themes in anime were brought up your counter to that specifically was that Kdramas are brain rot. Instead of condemning those themes in the first place. Ive watched death note already but my point was never to criticize anime in the first place. It was to criticize how you brushed away pedophillic themes (that btw also exist in Kdramas too) when it was pointed out for Anime.
I feel bad for the Ajin. She was failed by the adults who were supposed to protect and shape her. The trauma she experienced led her to form maladaptive behaviors. A majority of how she acts now is maladaptive and tbh she needs clinical treatment and the 2 ML are not helping her situation.
In terms of YJS, if Ajin is her parents creation, he is his mother and Ajin's creation. If he had been raised by just his grandfather im sure he would have been a messed up in a different way. I know she corrupted him as a way to survive but I think thats why its more difficult to watch him now. Since we know as a child he was drastically different.
She was way better off with just the second ML imo.
I was on her side with the school bully but she crossed the line blaming crime on an innocent man. She predetermined it too from the moment she met him. Decided to work with him, build a relationship with him. I am intrigued and loving the writing and acting but this is the first time I hope the lead faces retribution of her actions. She better face jail time before the series ends.
i hope the drama veers off from the webtoon, where she tries to marry for money. it seems too trope-y -- i rather…
No Jae O doent know who she is. He has not even scratched the surface. But I agree Jun Seo it has a codependent relationship with her. needs loooots of therapy.
Remind me since I don’t remember but did she know that the prince took away CZs maid and the circumstances?
Im not criticizing the female lead but just sharing that I didn't understand her sympathy for him considering how strongly she felt about women's fate.

I specifically remember she noticed the maid following him was different and guessed it was due to the jealousy of his future wife. I dont think she knew where the location the maid was sent. But her thought process after guessing what happened was Poor CZ. forced to marry, forced to send away the maid.
But he had the option to stand his ground but didnt because he wanted to cury favor.
I don't remember if the novel shows audience He Yan discovering the maid was sent to the crown Prince although im sure she eventually would have found out because gossip seemed to run rampant in the capital.
I never understood why He Yan especially in the novel was not repulsed by Chu Zhao. Granted most of his villainous acts were a secret but she felt pity for him and not the loyal maid he sent to the crown prince. She felt pity for his forced engagement with his mentor's daughter but he had the option to walk away and live a more difficult life without connection.
Women to him seemed to be means to an end and she knew that but pitied him and not the women he used? not very in line with her philosophy for advocating for women.
May the type of love in this drama never find me.
