I chose to analyze the words used by XS (albeit in translation) in order to get some clarity regarding the situation…
By the influence of your analysis, I went back to rewatch the scene of Xing Si's conversation with Mu Ren and Li Cheng the day after. Sexually assaulted, my arse. He is full of guilty consience and shame for thinking he took advantage of his "younger brother" ("It was my fault, I should not have drunk", "How could I do that with my brother?", "It was probably because of my pestering", "But he wouldnt have voluntarily...", "How will I explain this to his mother?"). It is astonishing that people are in total denial about this.

Very thoughtful and level-headed analysis. Pls be prepared you are gonna be lambasted by the witch burners and those with lack of comprehension, though.
Okay so I read most of the comments abt the show and honestly I think everyone should calm down, the show hasn't…
If you look back there are quite a few viewers trying to argue - with reasonably valid points - why it was not a sexual assault. There are some extensively detailed pieces of analysis about their mutual conversation in the bed, verbal and non-verbal affirmation from Xing Si up to the point that what he feels the day after is likely to be more guilty conscience and shame than anything else, but even the majority of those agree this was a morally dubious and coldly calculated trap being set up, yet it still does not mean lack of consent. But everyone who just tried to see this complex case in a bit layered way are more or less aggressively shouted down straight away. It is maybe because romanticized rape is so rife in BL people immediately get triggered at just about everything out of pink and fluffy, but debate is about to extinct anyway here. Depressing.
A curious little show which for all its draggy narrative, obvious flaws, low budget and amateurish look manages to deliver a charming story, likeable and well-enough drawn caharacters and decent performances. A heart-warming. joyous time-filler.
I scrolled through the comment section and you seem to be responding to everyone who doesn't like it. Serious…
One of the very rare cases where I agree with your points but still it is a bit rich coming from someone who admittedly loves hate-watching so much in some other cases.
The concept that a guy is gang bullied and beaten up by his ex who is still somehow possessive about him too ("You're my bf") is rather weird for me. I don't say it cannot happen, but it is pretty odd.
Check out the series by director Jojo Tidakorn, he's pretty awesome. It does get "horny" thought (but with consent)
The guy is simply an artist. 3WBF is a minor masterpiece, and both seasons of Friend Zone and Gay OK Bangkok are marvelous, intelligent pieces of adult entertainment. His visual style is quite stunning too.
Anyone know any BLs drama that is written by a man? It seems, and this might be an unfair categorization, female…
Gaya Sa Pelikula and Meet Me Outside. And at least two of the upcoming Thai BLs, Call It What You Want is one of them. There's another one but I cannot remember the title.
