From the latest episode I presume the Li Cheng - Mu Ren story line is about to be more absorbing and complex as it progresses alike. Maybe not quite as deep and intirguing as the Yong Jie - Xi Si narrative, but it is definitely on its way.

I agree several of your points and I disagree with at least as much of your points, but what I really wanted to say that if I were you I would not bother to keep trying to convince hate watchers. You and many others were fighting with tooth and nail in the past week to argue thoughtfully and meticulously, trying to bring attention to the compexities and symbolic aspects of the narrative, but none of your valid points were counter-argued. They are not listening. They just keep ranting about their strawman version of this show instead of what is going on the screen. A waste of effort.

YJ punched Mu Ren because he thought he made a move to the man he obsessively loves. He did not know about their relationship. He did not do it because he is a bad man who likes beating people up in the street, but becasue he was not in his right mind. He is a mentally unstable kid, in urgent need of professional help. He does everything what he thinks XS wants and needs, twisted as it is, and that includes the hotel room scene. Naturally, it does not make his actions right nor does it justify them.

Enjoyably ramshackle just like the first season, though with noticeably higher production values. A bit too much jealousity for its own good and sometimes protracted, but fun to watch from start to finish as much as its predecessor.
