Title HIStory4: Close to You Spoiler
Just a little note on one aspect of Fu Yong Jie's character:I think since one of the reasons Xing Si actually…
It is not YJ's idea out of nowhere. When he had a convo with his mom, before their trip to the sea, it is mentioned that XS would prefer living at home with the whole family, he basically moved out because he was afraid of his dad finding out his secret life. YJ is doing everything for him. He is clearly a good person who happens to have serious mental problems.

Thank you for the MODC parallel! I just realised that there was that link there between Close to you and MODC…
There is a direct, if side, connecting thread with MODC. Liu Mei Fang' character is the sister of Hao Ting, played by the same actress.

i'm not mad, just disturbed that they think drunk people can give consent.
What I was trying to say that he seems to think he knows what is best for Xing Si and he should do whatever he wants to make him happy, regardless of whether Xing Si wants to go thorugh what he planned for him or not. As if he did not consider Xing Si should have a few more say about his own life. But after what he did to him at the end of episode 8, when he hided him in the bathroom just when he was about to cry, I have started to revaluate this as well.

Just to add on a bit:The part at the end when Yongjie knew that Xingsi was going to cry and then lead him into…
Do you mean killing off the brothers or just one of them? The writer is known for the tragic end of MODC, yet I doubt they wanna go through that passage again.

You're insane. If someone is very drunk and another person takes advantage of this, it's rape. Even if someone's…
You could have said "I have no argument so boooo". That saves even more space.

I have written elsewhere that Yong Jie could have chosen the longer way. He could have expressed he knows about Xing Si's feelings for him and he could have reassured him it is mutual. No doubt this is a more difficult, longer procedure with more hassle, but less controversial. Yet Yong Jie always wants quick fix and he wants to control and drive everything himself. And here comes his mentally disturbed, antisocial personality with slight socipathic tendencies. He cannot take others' sensitivity and inhibitions into consideration. He knows Xing Si wants him and tries to sort this out for him inconsiderately. The same with Xing Si's dad. He purposefully tries to transfer the possible future outcome of Xing Se's coming out to himself, not being considerate that it is Xing Sie's path, he has to go through this with his dad, Yong Jie could just give him a hand and be by his side at best. I guess their journey will be about teaching each other to change. Xing Si is likely to help him to get rid off his obsessive tendencies and mental disturbance, not to treat people like chess peaces, whereas Yong Jie is likely to teach Xing Si - in his twisted ways - that he needs to be a bit more selfish about his own happiness vs expectations of his dad and the people around him in genreal. Actually, that is why I like this story line. It covers interesting avenues and it handles taboo and stigma subjects quite effectively so far. Honestly, I did not expect that from this series when it started in its zany way.

You think rape in fictions are unforgivable, so what about killing. We have all seen many hit series and films…
The sarcasm actually is strong on solipisism5's comment.

I get your points and I agree with them, but that is just not what I am talking about here. I guess the creators definitely wanted to show a morally wrong, condemnable and scheming but strictly consensual situation, and actually they made a pretty fine balance. That is why the verbal and non-verbal foreplay was so carefully worded and constructed, and that why Xing Si 's freakout the day after is entirely and vocally about his feel of shame instead of feeling like a rape victm. Even when Yong Jie arrives he keeps slapping him only when he repeatedly says "I love you not as a brother". The creators IMHO were hell bent on avoiding rape. And that is why it is so depressing to read these one byte knee-jerk reactions, and I cannot help but feel bad faith behind at least the most of them and also a compulsion to conform.

I did not mean that Xing Se should undertake the role of psychiatric care, of course, the kid certainly needs professional help. But not just that one. Someone you love and someone who loves you back could also be a big help along counceling to help you change.

There was no rape, even if you choke on your volmit. Edn of :D We have acknowledged, your brain is replaced by Swiss cheese with holes. Luckily, screenwriters do not listen to patethic shits like that. Enjoy the step bros budding love hun. :)

Without doubt one of the best and most beautiful BLs of all time. Imaginatively written, sensitively directed, arrestingly acted and character-driven all the way, filled with love, understanding and an avalanche of true emotions. Plus a lavish production. And apart from these escellencies, it literally kicked nearly all BL clichés in the arse. An instant classic.

Change the record and get a brain. And learn to argue to a basic level. And you educate yourself on serious issues like rape. Maybe then you would not spread so much crap like the raped one giving verbal and non verbal consent, initiates French kiss and have a hard one while being sucked. If you knew anything about rape you would know it is impossible. The pseudo-outragers like you debase the sufferings of real rape victims. Are you not jus dumb af but also senile? I have stated above I have had countless sex while drunk in my life. Maybe you should try each one for the first time. You would probably be less frustrated and would say less nonsense.

Sorry but I am sick up to the back teeth with the abuse of these ignorant tossers, and I don' take the insults anymore. I have had enough. And it is not about this particular show. This aggressive cancel culture and terror of opinion is unbearable. (Unlike you I would not be OK, if this was rape. But this was not)
