Its a problem because New hires the same half white girl time and time again when that role could be given a real thai girl. Half white people are not walking down the streets in thailand. They are not a reflection of what the country looks like. Make a show that REFLECTS the population. Southeast Asian people deserve to be represented in their own TV shows and Its sad that southeast asian girls STILL come 2nd to half whites in Thailand TV shows. I never see Hollywood give Asians lead roles so why should Thai tv shows be filled with white people like Mai Davika and Urassaya?
By putting half white minorities in lead roles CONSTANTLY, it sends the message that "white people are better than everyone else". The proof is in that the same treatment doesn't happen to half blacks in Thailand. You would think a full asian with dark skin stood equal chance to a half white girls in the casting process but they really don't. They are seen as "less than". Its racism that needs to be exposed. The Mydramalist people who have a problem with my comments don't want their "half white/light skin" storytelling fantasies to be ruined with my logical reasonings.

Thai dramas don't accurately portray the beauty of the country and its people unfortunately. Its basically classism mixed in with racism. Dark skin people are not represented enough on asian tv shows.

This isn't the only thai drama too, there are many other cases. Ever see that movie with Nichkhun and the two other half white leads? They weren't even treated as "halfs" in their roles. Do you think thai people would do the same for half black people? i don't think so, they would have probably designated them to "black/mixed" roles and make them into joke characters.
