where did i criticize the actor? i just simply said he was hired cause he was half white (which is true).

And i do frequently criticize thailand as well as many other Southeast Asian countries for this very thing. Its sad that South Korea and Japan are much more better in comparison to Southeast Asia in terms of asian representation (and we already know how much they hate dark skin in Korea and Japan)

I'm seeing alot of "why aren't there many kiss scenes???" complaints here.

I hate to point out the obvious but they want Bright to be the next Mario Maurer, Nadech Kugimiya, Sunny SuwanCreepyPermaSmirk etc. They want him to be another mainstream half white celebrity. Thats why they won't let him do too many "gay scenes"

Remember Love of Siam? There was only ONE KISS scene and the lead Mario Maurer (also half white) never did a BL series again. Mario Maurer went on to become a huge star after that movie, while his dark skin non-mixed co-star FADED INTO OBSCURITY.

This is how Thailand works. Even in the promotions of this drama, i can already notice Win being treated as 2nd class compared to Bright. and surprise surprise (not really) Win doesn't even have as many IG followers as Bright.

Thailand may seem like a progressive country in terms of this shallow LGBT image but through the cracks the country is still hugely flawed.

Explain why half black thai actors don't get lead roles then. They should get equal treatment too.

The main couple is actually the least popular among the cast this time. Ben Brasier was never a good fit for the Pha character. The writer must have been high when she picked him.

and they aren't popular in Thailand either. After all, their show flopped. It doesn't make sense to keep propping up a failed pairing. All they are doing is losing money and viewers.
