I'm speaking out for all the tan thais and half blacks who are denied roles just because of they way they look. If you even cared an ounce, you would fight for them too, but clearly you think half europeans getting dozens of acting roles while half blacks get nothing in the Southeast Asian entertainment industry is a fair thing right? or how tan skin is portrayed in a way that is low class and undesirable in these thai tv shows?

Unfounded? History shows from his tv projects that he looks down on tan skin thais and half black people. He can't hire THREE HALF WHITE people into one show and not think anyone will question the lack of diversity. There is a difference between being truly diverse (hiring ALL kinds of halfs and races) and whitewashing an entire population (hiring half whites and light skin asians only and inaccurately acting like they represent the majority of the population)

but New is PART of the industry. Hes the one that helping spread colorist racist message that people with darker skin are uneducated buffoons that are not worthy of lead roles. In the Love By Chance drama, New gave a Gag/Jester role to someone with dark skin + typical southeast asian facial features. New also made them act overly obnoxious and they were painted as undesirable by Mean's character. When has he ever done that shit towards a half white character? Half europeans are never painted as undesirables or jokes. In fact, I can't think of a single lead actor that looks like a tan southeast asian in one of New's dramas. Its not right that half whites get more of a chance to be on his shows than someone who looks khmer or burmese. There are MORE khmer and burmese than half european.

I disagree. A good show is one that does not need to improve at all but one that is great from the start. No one is going to keep watching a show hoping its going to be better. They're going to drop before that happens.

I agree with EVERY negative comment posted below. i can't believe how badly they f***ed up the show. Not that i liked the original show in the first place, if anything it went from WORSE to WORSER.

FYI i'm not seeing any concrete numbers. Where are the TV ratings for this show? Using word of mouth positive reception as "proof" that the show is somehow succeeding is nonsense lol

I just find it funny how they can find so many readily available half european actors/actresses to give THREE lead roles to in this one drama when bi-racial european thais are a huge MINORITY in Thailand. They don't make up a majority of what the country looks like. So it already is inaccurate in itself to hire that many in one drama. Where are the people that look Southeast Asian? Where are the other thai minorities like Viet, Burmese, Khmer and Malay?

If they're going to give half whites lead acting roles, then half blacks thais deserve the same chance these biracial white thais get. You wouldnt like it if you saw different shades of mixed people who are half your race being treated differently would you?

Im advocating for all halfs to be treated and celebrated equally. A half european should not be over represented in the media unless other minorities are treated the same. Did you not see the latest winners of miss universe thailand/philippines/indonesia? All are half european. People are tired of asians being devalued and nonwhite halfs being seen as "less than".
