Title Yummy Yummy Yummy Spoiler
Hi, my friend! I read a discouraging spoiler, it seems reliable to me... https://www.tonboriday.com/2025/10/yummy-yummy-yummy-drama-ending.html
You're as inspired by your humor as you are by your thought-provoking comments, you deserve the praise! 😄 I always find it unacceptable to literally cripple the happy ending of any original work, because the ending of any book ties its values to the moral of the story: the series untied, disconnected the values that were carefully constructed (like the blocks you mention) from the final message presented to us as the story's moral. Therefore, I completely agree with you. I was going to reply today to your comment from yesterday, in which you create that perfect image of the blocks (Jenga). It couldn't have been a better metaphor. The question isn't simply whether it's a happy ending or not. Sad endings, as long as they're coherent, are completely acceptable. An example of this is Romeo and Juliet, a success for over 500 years, with countless adaptations, both in theater and film. But what they did with this series, 宴遇永安 (literal translation: Banquet of Yang'an), was to vandalize the work. It's like replacing the Mona Lisa's enigmatic smile with a grotesque laugh. The solution is to keep, in our imaginaginary, the novel's original ending: they lived happily ever after and were so happy that they reincarnated a thousand years later to once again consecrate themselves to each other! 💞✨️🎆

Hi, dear friend Mizuhira-san! I couldn't help but laugh at first; you really can be funny at the worst times, and that's great! 😂 But, back to the point 😢 I'm devastated. This isn't just a cliché ending, but a brutal demolition of everything that made us love the characters and the story. The values of all these elements, intertwined in a single weave, were like a cloak that sheltered us all. Today, they're tearing off that cloak and leaving us in the cold and the salty rain from our eyes... To preserve the sweetness and the vision of everyone united in a single family, I advise pressing "stop" on the wedding scene. We have the right to dream and be happy forever, among them, as grateful guests!

The angst in this drama is driving me back to finish watching Fated Hearts. At least they have a true happy ending.…

OMG! What a sublime Greek chorus, commenting to the audience on everything the scenes say and what is behind them does not say, but is only felt! Perfect, Jabofi! I have the same feeling and perception of the series' collapse in the way it ends a captivating story that initially delighted us, but lost strength and meaning in the long-awaited ending!

This show is starting to piss me off. I get that the focus isn't romance, and that's fine, but it's 32 episodes…
Some spoilers already point to a disappointment.

What? Noooo... Please, not such an ending again! (╥﹏╥) They could've let them stay together in the Yong'an…
I never imagined this lighthearted series would have such a melancholic ending, even if there is a happy ending for LY and SSG in the future. We fell in love with the Lin Yan of the past, we have bonds with him, and reincarnation erases everything we've built and assimilated. Thank goodness we have Fated Hearts, one of those rare 100% satisfying series! I'm so happy you're watching Blood River! That means you'll make me laugh again!😆

They will finally get married (first link, from 033"), but their happiness will be brief . SSG will return…
I'm replying your 3 comments here. I feel the same way. Indeed, they build characters whose trajectories and development we follow for weeks, we fall in love with them, we identify with them, and then in the end, they erase all that construction and present us with a character pulled out of a hat with whom we have no connection. TBH, at first I thought LY had also transmigrated to clear his father's name; it would have been a more acceptable solution. From what I've seen in these spoilers, LY's outcome is completely disappointing and unfair, an ending that feels like a punishment, as he'll die alone after long years of solitude. And you're right: series repeat patterns, forgo originality, and boldness, by dedicating the same old formulas to such a loyal and sensitive audience, with rare exceptions. I, personally, don't like series of this genre. I started watching not only to overcome the lack I feel of Fated Heart, a wonderful series, 100% satisfying, but also because I like the protagonists. And now I started doing the same to overcome the disappointment with this series, I started watching Blood River, there are already 5 episodes available.

According to the series end's previews, everyone will forget about the Shen family, with the exception of LY. The Shen family will also forget everything, but in the ending's revelations, it's unclear whether SSG will forget as well. We saw in episode 1 that there's a butterfly that we assume fulfills the magical function of the Shen family's transmigration. According to the spoiler, the butterfly reappears to SSG, who, in turn, sees this appearance as a clear sign that she and her family will return to the future. There would be no point in not making any connection between LY and the mysterious man who could supposedly be his reincarnation (because he looks so much like him).

Connecting LY with this man seems predictable to me and lends coherence to the narrative. SSG belongs to the future, LY belongs to the past; this equation can only be resolved if they both belong to the same timeline. From the very first episode, we've had the notion that they would return to the future at some point. From the perspective of having to sacrifice someone for everyone to be together, it would be easier to sacrifice LY than to leave the entire Shen family trapped in the Tang era (with the entire context of life in the future to which they belong, ties to relatives, friends, Yang Yang's school, etc.). Reincarnation is also a more interesting solution, as this will make LY also belong to SSG's modern era. It is only from this perspective that a new chance at fully achieving happiness becomes ideal, since, being both from the same timeline, they will not face disruptions, nor will they be threatened by any supernatural incident. Although I feel sad thinking about LY being alone and spending his life in the pain of loss, the solution of giving him the full realization of happiness in a reincarnation in which he will finally be part of the Shen family and live a prosperous life with SSG, will give us a more than perfect happy ending!

These series make us suffer terribly, it takes me weeks to get over it! lol And I'm still recovering from how much I miss Fated Hearts. What would we do without friends to make us smile! 😄 PS: Are you going to watch The Blood River? (Gong Jun). There are already 5 episodes available. I'll check it out to brighten up my day... Thanks for making me smile! 😃

I completely agree. We saw several long episodes dedicated to the noisy conflicts between SSG's parents, devoid of any real importance to the development of not only the characters themselves (nothing was added to SSG's parents) but also to the plot itself. LY had little screen time, and the development of his relationship with SSG was even less. This lack of balance is incomprehensible; the series lost consistency; we barely felt the arc's changes; it became a sluggish and linear narrative. It's a shame they wasted LYR and WYL's talent and charisma on a plot that was fading, although I believe in a truly happy ending for their characters in the future, but, as you say, short, and I might add, superficial.

What is this teaser for ep 29 -_-
They will finally get married (first link, from 033"), but their happiness will be brief . SSG will return to the future during the Shen's Diner fire (second link). LY will spend his life alone and die old (third link). The hope lies in his supposed reincarnation, as suggested by the appearance of a man very similar to LY in episode 1. The moral of the story would be: it's better for LY and SSG to be happy in the future, with prospects for a happy and lasting life with children, than for them to live in the Tang era. It would be a somewhat murky outcome, since we know she belongs to the future and returning to it is only a matter of time. Living with his reincarnation in the future ensures that their happiness will never be threatened again. Fingers crossed

Considering what we already know about part of the series end, we can already predict 👇
Better than LY and SSG being happy in the Tang era is that they'll be much happier in the future, with the prospect of having children and a prosperous and long life. This assumption gives meaning to LY's supposedly reincarnated appearance in episode 1.
