Funnily enough, I had just rewatched part 1 of the ep 6. BTS, when I saw your reply. And I even replayed the bridal style carrying scene, but I was always too focused on Myeongcheol saying "It's fine, I can carry him once or twice" 💪 and the ripped pants afterwards👖🤭
But now I rewatched it again and OMG those heart eyes are literally shooting arrows💘 So sad that Myeongcheol didn't noticee, he's too focused on his carrying duty. Plss look at your puppy 😍😭

Yeah, I also believe the ratings still being over 6.0 is just out of curtesy for the actors. They really did their best. 🥹
I bet you're right about the improvising, the bits and pieces we see of the "directing" in the BTS seem so lost, so Myeongcheol does all the work in fixing that while acting. He's doing the heavy lifting in making the scenes flow somehow. Did you see his face when the woman explained to him how he should go about the bread eating, kissing and the ketchup(?) heart? Though he signaled he got it, he still looked so confused and as expected, the scene's flow turned out soweird... what was that awkward smiling and nearly kissing a few times, while Hyeon Seo was still trying not to choke on that dry ass bread? 🥲

I'm also praying for another better project for them together!! Tbh, I didn't get that invested in Sweetheart Service bcs I just didn't feel either pairings' chemistry that much. I gave it a 6.5 in the end mostly just bcs the acting was pretty good. But it was so forgettable that I don't remember a lot. I didn't like Taeha suddenly being pushed towards the bartender either. It felt like he's using him to cope and I don't get why producers always think that as long as everyone is paired with someone it's a happy end. No, you don't just happily take a random "second choice", that's not how love and dating works?? 😃 And I also hated the disappearence trope before that. Taeha vanishing like that forced Yuha to shoulder everything alone and it just didn't feel right, like which really close, caring brother would do that??

I almost feel like the story of Tide of Love had more potential to be good, if they had executed it differently, but lets not get into that rn. Let me finish watching this ship sink first, and then let's talk again 🥲

Ep 6 didnt disappoint 😃
- Spending unbearably long, boring minutes on Jaehun staring at an icecube ✅
- The least BDSM-like belt scene I've ever seen 🙂
- Weird elevator music paired with kiss sounds seemingly recorded through a walkie talkie 🤖
- No continuity between cuts. The second I thought they improved, the blindfold is suddenly folded in half, then unfolded and repeat. Later the water bottle refills magically... I give up 🙂
- Serious question: is this a water ad? I already guessed so in ep. 1, but now I hope they aren't sponsored by that brand or they'll never ever sponsor any bl again...
- Jaehun becoming less intimidating and more and more unhinged. Slowly, I start to understand why Haejun always looks so tortured and undecided. Making out with a knee... ok sure 😃
- The funniest fainting scene I've ever seen. Did anyone notice Jaehun licking his lip when he was shouting Haejun's name? Is he that hungry?? 🤣🤣 And why is he suddenly so calm and silent afterward, wouldn't you normally keep repeating their name if sb. fainted? It doesn't feel like he's panicking, more like he's picking up an unconscious person he just poisened and wants to silenty dispose of 😅

I hadn't watched the BTS yet, when I first read your reply and mistakenly read "pLant ripping" instead. My first thought - oh no he must have been angry, but the poor plant. Then I re-read and basically ran to watch the BTS to see the pant ripping 🤣 Not sure if I'm more happy that no plants were harmed or sorry for Myeongcheol. When reality finally hit him he really looked like he wanted to vanish into thin air right there. 😅 Hyeon Seo is definitively not helping with his curiosity. "Putting his head down to his ass" might not have been the most sensitive thing to do 🤣
But I absolutely love their dynamic, like you perfectly put it. Their "silliness and cuteness" is everything 🥰 Hyeonseo is giving innocent, lost puppy energy while Myeongcheol is giving elder, protective brother who fails to completely control his pup 🥹💛

Tbh you don't have to check out Sweetheart Service... I don't actually recommend it. Apparently I gave it a 6,5, but I can't really remember what it was all about even though I watched it like 2 weeks ago? I swear that makes it sound worse than it actually was 😂 overall, it was just sweet, pretty solid acting for another low budget production, but a pretty forgettable story 🤣 Also Myeongcheol is just a support role there, so he doesn't appear a lot (though when you check the comments, he was the most loved actor in that series).

Yes, the BTS are on YT SEEKMedia channel. But they're really short, but who would expect am extensive making of for such a mess of a show anyway. Anyways, I enjoy them for the actors' chemistry.

Right, there's plenty of that kind of "weird shit" which makes you wonder if it was actually a director's instruction or if the actors came up with it themselves. Especially when it comes to the "slave's cries of pain" I'd really like to know who suggested that. But you're right, this keeps it entertaining. So, pls keep it coming! 😂

Their acting was so much better in Sweetheart Service and I watched the BTS and tbh their off-screen chemistry is all I hoped for when I heard they're gonna have a series together... so much wasted potential. Couldn't agree more!! I don't think I've ever looked forward to the next ep of a drama this much...(plot twist) just because of the comments. It's becoming my favorite show rn bcs of the comedic geniuses among the viewers 🤣🤣🤣

I don't know either😅 The concept seems to be "failed highschool group project" and I'm more worried than excited about them trying to start some sort of plotline now 5 eps in 😂 I doubt that giving Jaehun a backstory now will help to clarify or make up for the mess that this drama was till now. But tbh I don't really care anymore, I watch this to laugh 10 mins straight and check the comments here afterwards which make me laugh some more 😂

You mixed up the names (which can happen easily since their names use same sounds just switched). Kim Haejun needed the money for his mother. And Han Jaehun is the rich guy hiring him to be his plaything.

Genuinely curious, did you all catch the text message at the end of ep 5, bcs where I watched there were no subs. Apparently we're getting some sort of plot in the next ep, are you all excited?? 🤣

Why would you start the ep with another random dude in the car, when you know ep4 ended with you know what but with Haejun? And Jaehun fixing his collar, does that mean he has more than one plaything at once?
Who thought this weird music together with the voiceover for Jaehun's monologue was a good choice? What is this ketchup(?) heart, is that supposed to be sexy? Why does the other art student feel as random as the car dude?
Just more confusion and more questionable choice...and just when I wanted to say at least there's no more grunting and Haejun looks finally comfortable while kissing, surprise surprise it came back and he's looking tortured like always...🤣
But I have to give them that, no grunting for half the ep., instead: no natural sounds at all, constant elevator music and weird dubbing 😂👏👏👏
Soo, reading the text message at the end of ep. 5, they actually try to start some sort of plot now?? Without ever really mentioning Jaehun's background before wow... good luck with that I guess. I'm seated to see how they're gonna maneuver this train wreck to the next stop 😂
