I specifically said South Asia and Malaysia and I have worked in companies in south east Asia and the sentiment exists especially in very conservative workplaces. Itās not a catch all but specific to the law firm the heroine works in. Loose is not bad character exactly itās on a continuum. Several family run businesses have very conservative management. I have worked with some Malaysian Chinese family businesses and I can assure you these feelings prejudices persist. I worked in a consulting firm and we had a separate primer for working with family businesses which have any unique and sometimes extremely conservative work ethics. Example the CEO may refuse to speak to a brown Asian (which I am) or a woman (which again I am) so we would organise our client meetings in such way.
I told someone who gave this drama a 1.0, it did not deserve that low score and they replied 'You should be happy…
Itās fine dude. There are enough people who are liking this drama. Ultimately itās the view count and the buzz which matters. Also if itās doing well in china or not, since if this does well we will get similar stories. Unfortunately what AvenueX said was that Yang Mi is changing agencies in china so she is falling prey to hate campaigns. Nonetheless another China YouTuber Marcus Here shared that this drama is doing well.
I don't get one thing, Li Dai is also unmarried then why it is compulsion for QS to be married for the job?? šš¤
Itās not only china. Many east and south Asian cultures are like that. In South Asia you donāt get invited to social functions like weddings and at work people donāt want to be seen alone with you since you could be a ālooseā woman (essentially any good looking woman who is single at mid thirties is considered loose in South Asia, since they feel she wants to have āfunā and not settle hence has questionable morals). I cannot tell you how many Indian, Pakistani, Malaysian dramas I have watched where itās the same story. Hence the law firm does not want to be seen promoting said ālooseā women. This drama is not pulling stuff from thin air, rather it slowly unravels these societal norms. Episodes 13 onwards you will see many discussions within this drama about this prejudice.
This drama's rating got stuck, i don't know why people are rating this low whereas lighter and princess getting…
Itās statistics this drama has more haters of noona romance so they give poor ratings instead of a fair assessment. If you donāt like something you give 3 or 4 and move on. If you are a hater you give 1 without even watching.
Who else looking how does the morandi color palette looks like? š
I did. And I thought it resembled the guerlain metor balls. Have screen this aesthetic used by YouTubers such as Anna Bey when they talk about elegance.
I am loving the drama so far. The chemistry between the couples is amazing. But I do have two points 1) Xu Kai does not have much screen time at all 2) I am tired of some backstories which are getting boring a) the nosy mom b) the cheating man and his wife, please stop it with the cheating man and his wife I am literally fast forwarding those scenes.
I did not know that. Since the country where I stay WETV and Tencent has blocked YouTube from playing this drama, so in this country I can watch only inside VIU or WETV app
Look, I really do like this show for the most part. The leads have good chemistry, and I don't find that side…
I also hated it. But to be honest it could be lost in translation. Since in my language there are two three types of words to describe if some is not healthy. āKamzorā or āNazukā means not sick but needs care. So it could be that. Something which is queen English we say āof weak constitutionā. In India where I grew up such kids usually stayed with their maternal or paternal grandparents since there were many people to take care of them Aunties, grandmas, grandpas. It was a tradition that if mother and father were both working, instead of hiring a full time nanny people would prefer that delicate children stayed with their extended families and then they resumed living with their parents once they were stronger. China might also have a similar tradition.
After reading the comments, this drama has both, extreme haters and lovers also, and i dont like both kind, its very…
Itās slow and steady. There are some convenient plot devices the author has used. Also the lead actress is overdressed at times. Having said that the chemistry is really good, it never gets boring and it has the rare quality of making you wait for each episode to air. You can watch āMarcus hereā on YouTube who collects data from authentic Chinese MR agencies and they report that this drama is top 3 this week amongst all the web dramas being aired. He reports weekly entertainment numbers from the Mainland and is pretty accurate with proper citations. So people in China are liking what they have seen so far. But in fair assessment they are loving Yang Mi doctor drama much more in China right now.
I'm not supporting bad comments and all but the dramas you mentioned deserves those ratings they are bad like…
So am I. What I donāt like is 1) rating 1 when you have not even watched it 2) writing bad comments about actresses and their characters when they are just doing their job. It is really not ok. Even I disliked now we breaking up , but that is after I watched a few episodes and heard some really cringy dialogues especially awful French, it was terrible. But thatās it. Calling SHK names is not ok, but she was called names (she was called a Mack and few other choice words) itās bulllying. Why would you do that to an actress just because she is doing her job. They also called PMY desperate again thatās not the worse they called her. The comments were very very vicious.
