While the FL's character is not the strongest, I do feel bad for her. Years ago, she trusted the boyfriend she loved and fought her family who was trying to marry her to the ML for money. Only to get rejected and left behind by her boyfriend for the same money. The male lead is deeply in love, but the female lead always sees it as a marriage of convenience, a transaction devoid of genuine affection. This is why the male lead suppresses his feelings, never daring to express them, yet his actions consistently show her favoritism. His ex-boyfriend's deceitful behavior further exacerbates the already strained relationship. This is a consequence of the female lead's personality; loving such a woman is truly exhausting. The male lead's four years of coldness in their marriage are not without reason.
everything was written so beautifully. the end moved me to tears. the plot progressed so naturally and the feelings between the couple was built so organically (on the FL part anyway, the husband has been inlove from the beginning)

I like the grand fathers of both ML & FL. When they still didn't know that FL is the long lost heir of the Bai family, they still know how to appreciate a good character of a person. By judging their composure and stands of principles in life they have no doubts in commenting how good the FL was in their eyes.Too much bullying & the FL always needing to be saved but the leads had really good chemistry. That's the only thing saving this drama.This overall is a good drama. The first half was trash. like girl how many times do you need to end up in the hospital? Everyone was bullying the fl and ml was always late. The 2nd half redeemed itself. It also showed the story of how they met and fl’s background. This is worth watching.

I completely agree! The way it embraced all the familiar clichés while making fun of them was brilliant. And yes, the male lead's confused and bewildered reactions whenever he read the female lead's romance books were absolutely priceless and some of the funniest moments in the drama!

I loved that too. The drama really did a great job showing that happiness doesn’t have to fit into society’s expectations, and that staying true to yourself can be its own kind of courage. That message felt very honest and quietly powerful.
