honestly, I totally get your slump after Go Ahead. That one just hits differently. You can try Time and Him Are Just Right it’s a low angst youth drama I watched recently, and it has that soft, comforting vibe that might help you get out of the slump.

Yeah I get what you mean. It’s kind of mid for me too not boring enough to drop, but not engaging enough to land in the 8s either. I think I made a mistake picking it first since it’s technically a sequel. I only realized after checking MDL a few episodes in, and I feel like the high rating is partly because of the cameos from Hospital Playlist.
What's the angst level on this one? The Hong sisters often make me tense!
Haha that’s honestly a valid concern with the Hong sisters 😅 I had heard so much about them too, and this was actually my first drama from them.
For this one, the angst is moderate and not overwhelming. It leans more toward quiet, emotional depth rather than heavy, stressful tension. It’s the kind of angst that makes you pause and reflect instead of making you anxious. There are a few moments that hit hard, especially in the second half, but overall it stays controlled and more on the melancholic, introspective side rather than intense or exhausting.

It sounded suited to my current frame of mind until you mentioned the love triangle. I always appreciate your…
Thank you, I really appreciate that! And honestly, the love triangle is pretty annoying and feels forced here. I’d say just watch it whenever you’re in the mood for it. You can honestly skip most of the SML parts and you won’t really miss anything important.
I didn't care for the FL as much as I imagine I was supposed to. I really like Lee Jong Suk as an actor (he's…
Same. I started this for Lee Jong Suk too. I just could not connect with the FL, and honestly I did not care much about the romance because it felt very one sided. It was like that with the ML, and even with the SML as well.
I would have easily rated nine stars (I don't rate as high as most MDLers), if not for the ending. I realize that…
Yes, as a C-drama viewer I’ve kind of come to accept and compromise with the censorship. The OST and BGM were also one of the best parts of the show and really added to the overall experience. I also initially wanted to rate it around 9 or 9.5, but in the end I gave it a 10 simply based on how much I genuinely enjoyed watching it. It’s definitely a very rewatchable drama.
I enjoyed this and the Korean version. Both told an engaging story about the stoic boy and the bubbly girl who…
Yeah, I can usually accept the endings too, even if they are not perfect. But sometimes, like with this one, it is just harder to overlook. Maybe I will give the Korean version a try in the future and see if it feels any better to me.
I like Shen Yue and Chen Zhe Yuan, and any story revolving around writers/books is always a bonus to me. Unfortunately,…
When the last episodes mess everything up, it just feels personal.
It’s like they built this beautiful world… and then rushed/ruined the ending. After that, it’s hard to rewatch because you know the disappointment waiting at the end.
