:/ well MDL doeasn;t seem like a good place to rant about that. I'm sorry things aren;t going well with your family. sometimes things calm down after a while and you can patch things up. Give yourself and them some space. I found out that sometimes when you donlt talk for a while with your family members things somehiw improve. Everyone gains distance and more understanding.

they can be good :) and long :) Not all of them are worth it but theyre are some stories that are entertaining. The dance numbers are usually so colourful. Not all movies have dance numbers though.

I agree: he is the type of character that I love to find in dramas and the actor fits so well. *_* I just loved that part when they all decided to return with him to the Platau to destroy the supply base. It would be ridiculous if he went alone though what happened later is pure heartbreak >< Their mission doeasn't look too good at the moment. And I really hate that he and her have to meet like that. They have to do their duty. No space for feelings but I can tell neither wants to be in this situation. Oh and that private deserter aagain ><

It's certainly a very refreshing feeling Wnnie :) This drama is one that may give you a lot of heartbreak though. But the character is just amazing. He's a friend and a leader and takes care of everyone. Very likeable and the acting is mangetic. Very good story.

I've been busy most of the time so I had an MDL break fr a while. Then I vame back and got consumed by dramas again.

I hope you;ll coninue to enjoy it. I didin't like Miss Korea much. It was disappointing, despite all the interesting ideas it had.

I am watching a war drama that I really like currently. Comrades. Now here I have actors that absolutely pull me and the story is excellent.

Acting wise this is excellent. I am in love with Choi Soo Jong! I was reading up on his biography. If he really took such care of his wife including doing the cooking then I am willing to call him a true man. :P I love love love his character. He's the guy to learn from. Hes the friend and the leader. I am so going to watch President. I am pretty sure I will like that character too. I believe I have to thank you for my new obsession XD fortunately I can totally forget his funny side XD. I like how Lee Duk Hwa was used- he totally fits the general type and at least he's not a twisted bastard as in May Queen.There is a guy, Yeo Ho Min is the actor;s name, who I"m retty sure starred in Jumong as well. I need to rewatch Queen SeonDuk though as I don't remember those faces much.

This has really lifted my mood, you know. It's really amazing but I feel refreshed. I like to see how closely they bond. But Choi Soo Jong is really leader material and yes I love him. I guess I said that already XD I feel sorry for him too. He's so open about the fact that North Korean officer is the love of his life. He says it so simply ;_;

I kind of think this drama title is also suggestive. Friendship and loyalties are tested after all. I feel sorry for that young boy who deserted because he wants to live..but he ends up fighting for the North. He just wants to live. Is that so much to ask. War is so pointless. Why must there be a side to pick in the first place. ><

I love this man. He's magnetic and pulls you in to his strong characters. First time seeing in Comrades where he plays EXACTLY the kind of character that I love: fatherly, dutiful, strong, understanding.

And you're right Winnie. Comrades is indeed just the thing. The thing with which I can suspend all other feelings and just live the drama. It's intense from the start. Hard not to be pulled into it.

I added that adaptation to my plan to watch lists recently I'll porbably watch it soon.

I watched 3 episodes in a row and it is good! I can see how you watched it so fast. Intense from the start. Thanks to this I am able to suspend all other feelings and just live the drama. I hope the drama won't take sides though. They are all people there, people who fell into a divide. I think I like the approach of those guerilla units though. We don't need ideology. But lack of ideology is still an ideology of some kind. My last experience with war was TaeGukKi and it made a huge impact on me back then. I felt like they really presented a story of many brothers torn apart, just like the siblings who were the main characters were torn.

I imagine those fairy tales may be dark and creepy.Worth looking into. Good luck locating them. Ohh I'm going to pillage my library tomorrow!

Will do. I';m really looking forward to seeing something with this actor as the lead too, he seems quite magnetic. A friend has just finished it and it seems like the dram has left her with an emotional impact so I'm kind of thinking this is the drama for my current mood so I may just as well start it now. Looks like I"m gettin sidetracked bit I can;t help it. The other dramas aren;t doing it for me at the moment even if King;s daughter has a kind of good pace to it.

Well I may as well start with that and I"m about to go and borrow it tomorrow. I only really read a bit of Kawabata from Japanese literature. But you really picqued my curiosuty with Dazai :)

Well congratulations on finishing Comrades. It sounds really involving if you finished it in such a short amount of time and the confident 10 you gave it is even more encouraging.

I don;t think I expect Norigae to ave the same effect as Crucible. It's easier to make a lasting effect when you;re not talking about your own buisness. Show buidness will never reveal the true things that are really happening, though it may offer some self-reflective glimpses.

I don;t think most of new anime is worth their salt. They are probably mostly fanservicy. I"m not even remotely interested, unless in a recommendation by friends.

He isn isn;t he? My favourite episodes were the first though, were the family warmth shone through the most and Romeo's willingess to sacrifice. I should rewatch it at some point because the story is kind of uplifting too.

I am watching but without much enjoyment at the moment. Some things happend and my mood changed 18 degrees so nothing's exciting me for the moment.Maybe I should try watching Comrades. It may be my catharsis. I find myself in need of one. lol.

Hi Winnie. I sent you a PM. ;-) I rather liked it but I rolled my eyes several time. There were places were I thought it was a bit overdone. But overall I thought it had a certain heartbreaking lyeicism to it. And acting was good of course. I symoathise with the characters. How are you?
