Actually Se Eun's story is necessary afterall her parents did the game to punish them for what happened to their daughter. So knowing why they were punished, why they experienced the terror in the first place is really relevant to give the story a complete conclusion. And actually it is a game customized for them to suffer. So they will never survive, so them making a plan to survive won't really happen. There are only 2 conclusions afterall. First Jung Won the game and the game will restart again, or second, Jung Won will die and Yoon Seo wins but they will also restart the game. So no one can really survive the game
I feel bromance vibes between Hyun Hoo and Jun Hee. that first scene where Hyun Hoo stopped the bullies when they're planning to attack Jun Hee when he stopped them from bullying those 2 students. When he stood up and decided to come together to hike up on the mountain. When Hyun Hoo keeps in supporting Jun Hee's decision as their president, it made me feel like they need to keep on getting closer at least as buddies. But when Hyun Hoo died just like that in somehow the beginning it disappointed me alot as I really wished to witness how their friendship bloom.

I mean they have the same characters but its not adapted from any Daomu biji (main story or side story) Second, The movies Conjuring curse and misty creed are from the side story of Daomu Biji, so they're not part of book 1. Third, Tomb of the sea is part of the novel. It is adapted from the volume 10 of Daomu biji entitled "Sha Hai", the timeline is almost 10 years after the main story ended. Fourth, The series Tibetan Sea Flower is also part of the novel. Adapted from volume 9 with a title "Zang Hai Hua", the timeline is 5 years after the main story ended (so it happened before Tomb of the sea). Fifth, The series reunion is also part of the novel. Adapted from the sequel of Daomu biji with a title "Chonqi", the story happened 4 years after xiao ge got out from the iron gate (or bronze gate? I forgot) so the timeline is 14 years after the main story ended, so its also 4 years after Tomb of the sea.
There's also volume 11 of Daomu biji, the story is about the time when xiao ge just got out from the gate. So its after tomb of the sea. It's not adapted yet but I hope it will be adapted. As this will be interesting story because the iron triangle will be reunited after 10 years.
