I definitely understand why every review I’ve ever seen of this series tells you not to drop it after the first few episodes, because it gets so much better. I honestly hated Toh in the first few episodes, but the more I watched the more I started liking his character. To be honest, I still think his actions were really creepy, but I’m glad I can understand where he was coming from. As soon as I got to episode 4 I thought this series was getting much better, and by episode 7 I was in love. I'm really impressed by this drama and how many series topics they managed to tackle really well.
I finally got around to watching this and loved it so much. Normally I absolutely hate it when BL series bring out the guitars and start singing but I think this is the first time I loved every single song and didn’t skip any of them (Jeff Satur and Nunew are the only other exceptions). My favourite was the song when Gun and Tin were dancing together in tuxedos. I honestly have no complaints about this series, I loved everything about it.
I finally got around to watching this and enjoyed it. I had very high hopes after waiting almost 3 years for this and while it definitely didn’t live up to the hype I had for it, I still thought it was great and loved all the side couples too. Boun and Prem have great chemistry together and while I definitely think their development into a relationship was really dragged out, the acting was phenomenal, especially the evening scene at the pool (I think that was episode 6). I did enjoy it, not as much as I was hoping, but I do think it was good. Now I just want a third season with Tul and Waan lmao.
Honestly, I’m really excited for this as long as they don’t try to exaggerate any romance. I absolutely love the manhwa for the aspects of psychological horror. It’s a disturbing read but I genuinely love it so much, analysing the mental states and watching the characters fall apart in madness is so interesting. If at any point I feel like they are trying to push Yoonbum and Sangwoo’s relationship as anything other than toxic and manipulative then I’m dropping it immediately. Their relationship isn’t and was never meant to be romantic, and I’ll be pissed if they take it too far. As long as they stay true to the manhwa I’ll definitely be watching this when it gets released.
I've never seen r/pe casually used in a sentence so much as i saw in this synopsis. Wtf?
Unfortunately this series would be based on book 1 and 2 of Love Syndrome and the cast of Love Syndrome book 3 has already been confirmed with Frank starring as Itt: https://kisskh.at/721427-love-syndrome
Considering a cast has been confirmed this is likely to start official shootings soon, I’m just hoping they cut the rpe out of it entirely as from what I remember the novel was super messed up, but not explicit with the details.
There’s 3 books in this series if I remember correctly. I think I got part way through the first one and had to stop as I didn’t like it but I think all fan translations got taken down after the series was confirmed. You could probably find the Thai version somewhere like the MEB app but with how popular the novel was it wouldn’t surprise me if the fan translations got taken down because the author is creating official translations.
I finally got around to watching this and really enjoyed it. I read the manhwa quite a while ago and while this definitely didn’t live up to its hype as it was far too short and so many key scenes were cut out due to lack of time, I still enjoyed this series regardless. It was really cute and I think the casting was a great choice. I just wish it had been longer.
I didn’t love this series but I don’t think it was awful. Overall it was pretty forgettable with nothing particularly outstanding or memorable other than the fact that Yacht was in a BL role (is this the first time he’s played a BL role in a series, because I’ve only ever seen him in straight roles before?) There were so many things I wish they did differently but I did enjoy it while I was watching. I’ll probably rate this series a 7.5 overall.
you know it's bad when i'm more invested in the straight side couple
You know it’s even worse when that straight side couple barely had any moments over the whole series yet they are the most interesting couple. We are more invested in couple that had basically 20 minutes of screen time over the main couple thats had 11 episodes of it lmao.
J-dramas are always underrated, I don’t know why. Sometimes, I try dramas based on its ratings (around 9 ratings…
I’m the same. Originally when episode 1 was released the rating was only 7.7 so I nearly didn’t watch this series. I tend to avoid a drama if the first episode is rated so low but thank god I came and read the comments which were all positive. I guess it’s another reminder that ratings mean nothing overall. I’ve watched dramas before with a rating of 6 and loved it, and I’ve watched dramas with a 9 rating and had to drop it because it was so bad.
Although I do enjoy watching the occasional BL series with minimal plot and just mainly focusing on the main couple’s relationship, this series, despite being the complete opposite, goes to show why a fully developed and an exciting plot is 10x better than anything else. I absolutely love criminal/mafia/police dramas because they are almost always so exciting that you get captured into the plot and leaves so much more impact. We are literally only 4 episodes in and this might just become one of my favourite Japanese dramas I’ve seen. I feel like the ratings should be wayyyy higher, this is a complete masterpiece.
I feel bad that my ratings keep decreasing after every episode, but I’m completely losing interest in this. I have no interest in the relationship between Phap and Maze, Maze is just a terrible person and I hate how they didn’t even try to show any character development, like one minute he’s being a jerk (trying not to curse when describing him is harder than it seems lmao) then the next he’s a completely different person wearing rugged clothes and doing the exact things he said were disgusting practically 1 day ago. Phap is just a complete pushover and apparently has terrible taste (in both partners and pets tbh), he should just stay where he is and find a partner over there that isn’t so self-centred and money obsessed. We’re supposed to find the relationship between Kleua and Elle cute despite them only having like 20 minutes of screen time. Nueng and Tharn are super cute but it’s taken them too long to get together which makes me wonder will they find time in the 1 episode we have left to bring them together, or is this just another annoying instance of queerbating again? They keep bringing more drama into it like with Pooki’s accusations to keep things interesting and I’m just not invested in it. I really wanted to love this series but it seems my expectations were far too high.
I think this is one of those series I neither love nor hate. I just watch it cause it’s pretty cute. To be honest I’m not that invested in the main couple at all but both of the side couples are stealing my attention. At first I honestly expected San and Aii to be my favourite but Vee and Dome have been stealing my attention a lot this episode lmao. I do feel like it’s getting better the more episodes which are released and next week’s episode looks very exciting. Hopefully the quality of this series continues to increase.
does anyone have any idea how the overall rating on mdl is decided? is it the rating we give individually and…
Where it says the rating you can click on it and it will come up with the different ratings. It seems that the rating for people currently watching is 8, the rating for people who dropped the series is 4.9, and all the verified ratings are 7.5. So I guess it’s averaged from the verified and currently watching numbers.
This is honestly one of the best series I’ve ever watched. This easily went into my top 10 best BL dramas I’ve ever watched. They better make a season 2 because Aof has really outdone himself and I need more PranPat!!!
I feel like the flaw in this drama was the pacing and time constrictions. Honestly, the actors are good at acting, the main couple had okay chemistry that it wasn’t the best but with a few more workshops could have had the potential to improve much more. —— [spoiler: the kiss scenes weren’t the best I’ve seen from a kdrama but it’s also not the worst so I guess that counts for something] —— the OST was great and I absolutely loved listening to it, the plot was great with the whole time travel dynamic but because of the short run time it all had to be rushed to the point there was almost no plot progression. If they at least doubled the length of the episodes and added in more scenes to show the relationship buildup of Eun Ho and Heon then I probably wouldn’t have any complains but despite this I did genuinely enjoy this series. I would give the series an 8/10 but rewatch value is probably a 3/10, I don’t think I’m ever gonna rewatch this again but it was good while it aired.
Considering a cast has been confirmed this is likely to start official shootings soon, I’m just hoping they cut the rpe out of it entirely as from what I remember the novel was super messed up, but not explicit with the details.
